At the Imperial Capital's Second International Airport, originally constructed to replace Nanyuan Airport and to divert traffic from the Capital Airport, a new project was executed specifically for spacecraft from the Iridium Star. Following an agreement between the Iridium Star United Empire and the government of China, engineering drones were deployed to transform the airport, originally intended for commercial airliners, into a spaceport capable of accommodating spacecraft. This construction was completed over a span of three days.
In the foreseeable future, traditional commercial airliners that required runways for takeoff and landing would be phased out, and space shuttles operating within Earth's vicinity would become the new favorite. Therefore, it was reasonable that the Second International Airport was transformed into a spaceport.
