Chapter 4

Hello it's me HeyBroski! So I have an announcement to make: I am sorry that I'm uploading chapters so late. I've been really busy or I'm just not motivated. But I'm trying my best to do so. Also for my next chapter I will have an Illustration of a character of my mine, but unfortunately you guys are gonna have to wait.

Anyways I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Narrator POV

As the two boy's continued to run to the exit/entrance of the park. Ryusuke suddenly falls from a hole at the ground.

Ryusuke: "(groans) help!"

Officer: "(from afar) hold it right there."

Gakuto now had to make a choice: will he save Ryusuke and escape together? Or will he leave him alone and escape the law?

Gakuto: "(grunting)"

Time began to move slowly for the brown haired boy as he had to make a choice: does he leave Ryusuke to get caught? Or does he do the right and cliche way and help him?

"Don't move!" Commanded the officer as he slowly closes in on the two. And began to pull out something.

"Oh, Shigeru..." Gakuto murmured as he quickly ran to Ryusuke and raised his hand to him.

"come on!" he said.

"Huh? Ryusuke said in shock.

"what are you waiting for?!" Gakuto yelled as he still had his arm reached out.

Without another word Ryusuke grabbed his friend's hand. Gakuto yanked him back up on his feet and dragged him to the exit gate. Just when they where about to climb up, they heard loud bangs from behind. It wouldn't take a genius to find out they were literal GUNSHOTS.

"Shit! Climb faster, you miserable jackass!" Ryusuke yelled in fear, as they were climbing up the gate.

"STOP OR I WILL LITERALLY KILL THE BOTH OF YOU!!!" the officer screamed at the top of his lungs, clearly out of patience.

*BANG BANG*

Unfortunately for the copper, the two boys finally made it to the other side and began to ran off further away. The officer just stared angrily at them and slammed his fist at the bars of the gate.

"I'll get those boys...! One day..." He murmured to himself before walking away.

(Timeskip)

As Gakuto and Ryusuke finally made it to the latter's house, They stopped to catch their breath and catch some air.

"Man, that was... close." Ryusuke said as he soon returned to panting.

"Definitely" Gakuto commented while also panting heavily.

The two boys would continue catching their breaths before eventually they stopped. Afterwards, Ryusuke stood up and began to walk to the door to his house.

"Well, see you at school tomorrow." Ryusuke said as he was about to open the door to his house.

"Wait...!" Gakuto immediately said.

Ryusuke stopped before he turned around to look at Gakuto.

"What?" he asked curiously.

A brief silence filled the surroundings of the two, before eventually Gakuto spoke.

"Abou- about your question on that we should make new friends." Gakuto stopped to finish what he was going to say, he himself doesn't know if that possibility was good... but it's worth a shot. "I think... I think we should, no, I think we can." He finished with a slight smile.

Ryusuke was at a lost for words as to what his friend said, but regardless, he smiled.

"Yeah." He said in agreement.

Suddenly, the door opened to reveal a small girl with pigtails and a disappointed look on her face, mainly looking at Ryusuke.

"Where were you? I was worried sick." the girl said with a cute angry pout on her face.

Gakuto tilted his head out to see what the commotion was, he then sees the little girl and was little stunned at her appearance, she had blonde hair and blue eyes similar to Ryusuke, except, they were more brighter than his. And despite her seriousness she was just a little girl.

'Definitely his sister.' he thought now unfazed.

"Look, I'm really sorry that I was late, but-" before Ryusuke could finish he apology, he would be interrupted by his sister, who turned her attention to Gakuto.

"Hey, who's that?" Ryusuke's sister asked as she walked towards Gakuto.

"Uhh... wait!" he exclaimed to her but was ignored.

His sister went up to Gakuto and looked at him with a serious look. Judging by her size and her appearance; she looked to the same age as Gakuto's younger brother Manabu, and probably the same grade as him.

"Uhm, is there anything we can help you with?" the girl asked.

'Damn, why so serious?' Gakuto thought a bit surprised. As he began to think on what to say to her.

"Hi... um, I'm Gakuto Hanyuda. Uhm, Ryusuke's friend." Gakuto poorly said with a monotone voice.

"Wait, you mean like his best friend?" the girl asked in shock.

"Well, I wouldn't say his bes-"

Before Gakuto finish his corrective statement, Ryusuke's little sister immediately went in to give him a bear hug. Both Gakuto and Ryusuke were speechless.

"Thank you..." she happily whispered.

"What?" Gakuto asked.

"Thank you for being my brother's real friend throughout his first year of middle school." she happily said.

There was a brief silence for a moment until Gakuto spoke.

"Woah, woah, woah, before we get sentimental. Uh, would you mind telling me your name first?" Gakuto asked her.

"Oh, silly me, my name is Sora, Sora Jin'nai." the girl named "Sora" introduced herself to him.

"Sora, huh?" Gakuto said a little astounded.

"Well, Sora, I'm somewhat grateful to be your brother's friend." Gakuto said with a slight smile.

Ryusuke could help but be embarrassed as his sister revealed personal info to Gakuto. But at the same time he couldn't help but be happy for his sister expressing herself and giving gratitude to his friend.

"By the way, Sora." Gakuto said with a smile.

"Yes?" Sora said with a smile too.

"Does your brother always call everyone a "miserable jackass?"" Gakuto asked with his smile now turned into a smirk.

"Ugh..." Ryusuke shrieked.

"Brother!" Sora yelled at her brother.

"Sorry! I was under pressure! You know how I get! Ryusuke shouted back at his sister.

There was a brief silence until both Sora and Ryusuke began to laugh. Gakuto on the other hand simply rolled his eyes.

"Well, it's getting pretty late, so I better get home." Gakuto said as he turned away to walk to his home.

"Why, not stay at our place for the night?" Sora asked him.

"Huh?" Both Gakuto and Ryusuke bluntly exclaimed.

"Uh... no offense, but why should I stay at your house for the night?" Gakuto asked confused.

"Yeah, wouldn't mom and dad get mad get mad at us for inviting a stranger without their permission?" Ryusuke commented.

"A: It's pretty late and B: I'll explain everything to them tomorrow morning." Sora explained. What do you say, Hanyuda? She asked Gakuto.

"Pass." Gakuto bluntly said to her.

Suddenly, lightning and thunder roared the sky, and rain began to pour after. Gakuto turned to look at Sora with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face.

"Well...?" Sora asked in a cocky tone.

"I'll take my chances?" Gakuto responded back.

Gakuto turned and walked away again, however, before he could continue walking back home, he spotted a police heading down the street. He looked to see who it was, and to his shock, it was the officer from the park, the same one who shot his gun at him and Ryusuke.

"Uhh... you know what? it's pretty late, and I'm pretty tired." Gakuto said as he began to shove Ryusuke and Sora inside their house. "Dibs on the couch." He added.

(Timeskip)

As Gakuto was taking a shower from getting soaked in rain, he began to think back on what Ryusuke said before:

"Once I graduate junior high, I'll go to high school, once I'm done with high school, I'll got a university to get a bachelors degree, then I'll be able to help my parents and sister."

He couldn't help but be dumbfounded as he saw Sora as a girl who could take care of herself, as she was smart and bold.

'I'm overthinking this' He thought.

After Gakuto was done taking a shower, he put on some clothes that Ryusuke let him borrow. He soon began to walk down the stairs and into living room where plopped down on the couch and looked up into the ceiling.

"Boy, I am so dead tomorrow..." He said.

There you have it chapter 4, I really had I fun time writing down Ryusuke's little sister, Sora, it wasn't that hard to her character down. But, I have difficulty on her design. Also, I may edited my chapters to add the honorific -kun when somebody says Gakuto, and other honorifics as well.
