A New Story

(Seven Years Ago)

"Come on!" The young boy said as he stared at the T.V. He stood up pacing as he watched it. The boy was twelve years old and had raven black messy hair and plain black eyes that held a look of hope. "You guys can do it!" He said pumping his fist up into the air. "You can finally beat him this time!" He announced as he did a silly pose.

This boys name was Dawson Blight. Currently, he was doing his favorite past time. Watching Mega-Hero! Ever since he could remember he watched this show. Only. Unlike most kids, Dawson wouldn't root for the Hero. They weren't the ones who trained the hardest. The Monsters are the ones who would always try.

"You can beat Him!" He said as he watched the monsters on the T.V. They were extremely silly and most certainly fake. They were nothing like the Demi which were real monsters. "You tried so hard! You made this awesome plan! You can win!" He pumped his fist up in the air again and again as he watched the Hero start to push back the Villian. "No!" He whined. "Come on Monsters!"

Despite how hard his grandfather tried he wasn't able to keep Dawson as a Villian though. Dawson rooted for and wanted to be a monster but he seemed to always accidentally do good.

"Nice try villain fiends?" The Hero said as he raised his hand. A colorful ray of light was fired out as all the monsters were blasted away. "But Justice always wins! The Monsters will never win!" He stated bluntly. He turned to the T.V facing the camera as he spoke to the audience. "And remember kids. If you want to be a hero too, than join the Enforcers!" He said. "They're the real-"

The T.V turned off as Dawson hit the remote. "I hate that stupid commercial for the Enforcers." He muttered as he stood up. He hated the Enforcers. A bunch of people going off and killing Demi. They pretended to be Heroes but they weren't really. Dawson knew the truth. Some Monsters weren't bad. His Granpa was a decent guy even if he had to eat people.

"About time!" A voice shouted from the back. "Also don't call me Grampa! I'm only thirty years older than you!" A voice snapped. "We should leave quickly. The Zuì will be here soon." The man said. He was still in the back so he was unseen. His name was Lin Blight. Or as Dawson called him. Grampa. He was the man who wanted to teach Dawson how to be a monster before he finally realized how bad it was.

'Hey uh, boss?'

"Alright, Gramps," Dawson said yawning slightly. "Today you were going to show me that cool trick right?" He asked.

'The kid fell asleep. I think he blacked out from your punch?'

"Yeah," Lin said from the back. His voice came closer as he moved over to Dawson. "I'll show you how to use that blasted Martial Art..."

'Damn? I didn't think I hit him too hard. Well, wake him up. I want him to feel what I'm about to do.'

"Cool! I can't wait to learn how to use the Fly-What-Ever-You-Call-It Technique!" Dawson said excitedly forgetting the name of the attack.

'Right boss!'

"The Flying-Fist-Of-Crushing-Earth!" Grandpa Lin shouted annoyed. "I'm not gonna teach it to you if you won't make an effort to say it!" He yelled.

"Yeah, yeah!" Dawson said throwing his hands behind his head in a sheepish manner. "Whatever."

'Slap!'

Dawson felt an intense pain in his cheek as his head was snapped left. 'Wake up!'

(Present Day)

Dawson's eyes slowly opened as he looked up. His eyes adjusted slowly as he stared at all the people surrounding him. There was about twelve in total. They were in a large warehouse full of boxes of Mana. He could tell the boxes were Mana due to the energy that came from them.

"Well, well, well!" A man said smirking. He was shrouded by shadows covering his face. From his outline, he appeared to be a very large very bulky man standing at nearly eight feet tall and four feet wide. "You fell asleep on me brat." He said smirking. "Did you think you could just jump me in some alleyway and beat me up?" He asked.

Dawson frowned as he struggled to remember. It finally clicked after a few seconds. He had found this man whose name was Red-Bull, and decided to jump him because the guy was leading some evil gang. He also looked strong. Dawson loved fighting strong people. They fought for a little while until the guy pulled off a charge move which knocked Dawson out. "Damn... Did I really lose to such a lame attack?" Dawson questioned.

"You sure did," Red-Bull said as he stepped out reviling his body. He wore a large red leather suit that had black spines and a skull on the front of it. He had large metal gloves covered in barb wire and two bright crimson red eyes. He had no hair but did have a pair of insanely large bull horns coming out of his head. The man was a Manus. "So little boy. Tell me why you decided to try and-"

Dawson pulled his arms down taking the two people holding onto him down. He grabbed both there heads slamming them into the ground repeatedly. Somebody pulled a gun out but before they could fire he grabbed one of the goons and held them in front of him. They tooks several bullets to the chest as he grabbed their gun and threw (rather than fire It) at another enemy. Thankfully everyone was wearing bullet proof vest so no one died.

Dawson jumped out from the body as a dark crimson red aura covered him and he suddenly flashed in front of a soldier grabbing them and throwing them against the wall. As he turned he saw the remaining ones all holding him at gunpoint. Dawson frowned. He wasn't sure if he would be able to block that many bullets. He was still injured and it would take a few seconds for his body to mildly heal.

"Hiding behind your goons?" Dawson asked looking at Red-Bull. "How about we have a one on one match again. I promise it will be different this time."

"Why would I fight you human?" Red-Bull asked raising an eyebrow. He crossed his arms. "You're a pathetic boy pretending to be a hero-" Dawson growled as he took a step forward. "Let me rephrase that," Red-Bull stated taking a step back. "You're a pathetic boy who's also a fool."

"What's wrong?" Dawson asked folding his arms. "Afraid to lose in front of your soldiers?" He asked raising an eyebrow. He held a smirk on his face hoping Red-Bull would fall for the taunt. In his mind, he was already planning on all the new patterns he would learn from watching Red-Bull. He had already memorized all the old techniques and would be able to counter them now.

"Enough!" Red-Bull yelled. He turned walking over to the wall. His eyes were red with fury as he grabbed a very large axe. The axe was nearly ten feet long and had a large metal blade. A tube was connected to it as well as a slot. He walked over to one of the crates of Mana. "I beat you once easily. I simply do it again." He punched a hole in the crate pulling out a large red crystal that he put into the slot of his weapon. He pushed a trigger as it lit up with flames. "I'll end you now!" He turned to his goons. "Take the crystals to the top of the warehouse. The shuttle will be here soon. I'll take this brat outside and teach him a lesson."

The soldier nodded as Dawson's smirk grew wider. It was an animalistic smirk that sent a shiver down everyone's spine. His mind played over the patterns Red-Bull already showed him from there last fight. Even if Red-Bull had a fancy new weapon he was confident he could win. They walked outside the warehouse now standing in a large docking area. His eyes studied the shape and design of the weapons as he made a rough outline in his mind.

The night sky was a pitch black. No stars were able to be seen on this side of Gaia. The only thing in the night sky that could be seen was two things. The first was the moon. And the second was another planet that was grayed out and covered in cracks. A dead planet. No one knows what happened to it.

"I'll make this quick," Red-Bull stated before suddenly charging Dawson. He held his axe up ready to slice the boy in half.

Red-Bull swung his axe as a burst of fire poured out. Dawson managed to lean back just barely dodging it. A Red Aura covered Dawson as his Mantra activated. The Aura crackled and seemed to hiss as if it were a snake. Dawson smirked as he threw out a left hook connecting with Red-Bull's gut.

Red-Bull flared his Mantra up as well as a Red Aura also covered him. "Hmmph." He stated staring Dawson down. He paced back and forth as he held his weapon up. "Red Mantra huh?" He noted as he looked at the Aura around Dawson. "What are you? Some kind of sociopathic serial killer?" He questioned raising an eyebrow. Dawson didn't answer as he paced back and forth watching Red-Bull. Dawson lifted his arms and brought them down going from side to side as if he were holding an object. It took Red-Bull a moment to figure it out. Dawson was making the exact same movement he had done when he swung his axe. Right down to the head tilt and small step forward. "The hell?"

Dawson suddenly pounced forward his arms coming out as he attacked from both the left and right side. He used a mix of several martial arts as his arms came out in a flow of various attacks. His hands connected with Red-Bull as he grabbed the container of Mana pulling it out. He squeezed popping the container and causing it to explode in his hand. It burned but he ignored it. The pain would become pleasure later.

Red-Bull held his arms up tanking several of the hits. "Screw you!" He snapped swinging his axe once Dawson let up. His plan was simple. Decapitate the boy.

Dawson was too quick though. He easily ducked under the swing than brought his body up as he came between Red-Bull and the axe. As he came out he used his feet to propel him up then pushed them both against Red-Bull pushing both of them back. Dawson crashed back into the axe dragging it away from Red-Bull. "No more of this!" He said as he kicked it up. He threw it away as far as he could before turning back to Red-Bull. He stared him down as he held his hands up taunting Red-Bull. "I only use Hand to Hand combat!" He stated simply. I can't use your weapon so I just want to study your combat style."

Red-Bull growled as he punched the ground. His Mantra flashed brighter as his body suddenly began to grow. His feet turned into hooves as his body broke out into fur. He began to get buffer as his head began to become less human-like. His nose grew out as his head expanded. A bulls tail sprouted out from behind him as he flexed. "Manus 50%" Transformation" He yelled out as he became half bull half man.

"What's next?" Dawson asked raising an eyebrow as his smirk grew. "Are you also going to create a labyrinth?"

Red-Bull ignored him as he suddenly charged forward. "Minotaur-Charge!" He screamed as he rocketed forward. He held his shoulder up and kept his head down as he ran forward. Dawson went to move to the left but at the last second Red-Bull's arm shot out grabbing Dawson by the collar and dragging the boy. He slammed him straight into a wall as he used the force to then drag Dawson up the wall. "You humans are all the same!" Red-Bull screamed. "All you do is make the world bleed and use up the Mana! You're the ones who fight amongst yourself for amusement. You're all freaks!"

As Dawson chocked he looked up at the night sky seeing the broken planet. And a smirk made its way onto his face as his grandpa's words reached him. 'Dawson. Remember. People won't fight fair against you. So why should you fight fair against them?'

Dawson reached up shoving his thumb into Red-Bulls eye. The bull-man let out a scream of utter pain that could surely be heard for miles. He dropped Dawson as he clutched his bleeding eye. Or at least what's left of it.

"Minotaur-Charge!" Dawson said coldly as he mimicked the charged used against him. He wrapped his arms around the bull as he used all his strength. His red Mantra crackled and hissed as it grew in size along with his determination. Red-Bull was lifted off of the ground as Dawson slammed him into another wall. As Red-Bull slid down the wall Dawson struck as his leg came out kicking the bull-man over and over again each strike having more power than the last. The nineteen-year-olds leg came out again and again as he laughed. Dawson's arms came up as he brought them both down. They seemed to spin for a second as the wind gave way but they stopped just before they reached Red-Bull. "No!" Dawson snapped stopping before his arms reached the man. "I won't use that technique!" He snapped to himself.

Red-Bull took that as his chance to get away from the sociopath as he kicked out catching Dawson off guard. Dawson fell back as Red-Bull stood up and proceeded to make a mad dash for the warehouse.

"Hey!" Dawson yelled standing back up. "You can't just leave! I wanna learn more cool techniques!" He whined as he chased the man down.

"Stay away from me you freak!" He yelled as he ran up the stairs of the warehouse arriving on the roof just as an airship arrived.

The airship was massive and would most certainly get someones attention. Red-Bull jumped onto it as several guns were suddenly pointed at Dawson.

Dawson had time to widen his eyes as they all fired. "That isn't fair!" He yelled out as he was covered in a hail of bullets. Dust was kicked up everywhere as all the ammunition was used up to kill this one boy most certainly going overbored.

All the soldiers waited with held breaths as the dust settled down. When it did they saw Dawson surrounded by a green light.

"Attempted Murder, Destruction of Private property, Noise complaint, Mana Stealing, Mana Smuggling, Gang Fighting, Illegal Vehicle, And your Illegally Parked." A voice said getting everyone's attention. They all turned to see another man walking up the stairs of the warehouse. The man had messy obsidian black hair with blue highlights and forest green eyes behind a pair of round glasses. He wore a black suit with a red tie and had a badge on it that had the words 'Enforcer' on it. "Oh, I do believe you are under arrest." The guy said simply as he smirked.

"Damn it!" Red-Bull cursed when he saw the guy. "An Enforcer. Quick. We need to leave." He said as he turned back into his human form with the horns.

"But what about the rest of the Aura sir?" Someone asked.

"Screw it!" Red-Bull snapped.

"Oh your not going anywhere." The Man said lifting his arm. A green light shot out as a green barrier was created around the airship. "I'm taking all of you in." He snapped.

"Giro!" Red-Bull yelled. "Your up."

Another man ran to the side of the airship. He had spiky blond hair and blond eyes. He held his arms out as a wave of fire was blasted out. The barrier began to crack as the Enforcer guy frowned. More flames poured out as the barrier finally cracked.

"Damn..." The Enforcer guy said shaking his head. "It's just not my day." He turned looking over to Dawson. "Thankfully. It's about to be a lot worse for someone else." He said simply as he walked forward.

And for the first time that day Dawson actually felt a small bit of fear.
