On the way home, Mariano tells me that the explosion wasn't supposed to happen before we left. They were supposed to leave the place before it all blew up, but the puppies held them off. And apparently, there was an accident while they were trying to save the puppies from the crate that was stuck in a shipping container. They tried to get them out and while doing so, someone hit the trigger to blow up the warehouse.
Mariano doesn't get into details, but he glares at the back of Raul's head as he recalls the lead-up to the explosion. Raul stiffens but doesn't look back. I know for certain he's going to get a little more than a slap on the wrist later for the mishap that almost cost them their lives. Mariano no longer tolerates mistakes from his men. He has to be tough on them, especially since in everything they do, their lives are at stake. Though I don't think Mariano will take the man's life. Tonight's operation ended well in that we don't have any casualties.
