He stands and closes his jacket, the cool facade back on his face as he looks at both of us. "Shall I see you both at Henkel's victory party?"

My brows knit in confusion. "Victory party?"

"He'll be the next mayor."

"The election hasn't even happened yet." I know it's on the 26th, next week. And only if the candidate wins the majority of votes would there be no need for a second run-off.
