Jax stared at me weirdly for a moment, and then he turned around and left the house. It looks like he didn't clean the room after all. I have to say, I'd be pissed if he did this to mine.

Mariano glances at me and then to his room. He sighs, and then his shoulders slump. He pulls down the hood of his jacket, removes his cap, and then runs his fingers through his hair twice. I'd love to run my fingers in his hair. 

"Give me a sec," he says as he walks inside and disappears behind the door.

I'm at the threshold, biting my lower lip as I take in his bedroom. Minus the dramatic cobwebs and plastic spiders here and there, I can see there are a lot of dark colors in the aesthetics. The furniture pieces are mostly black or gray, though the floor, walls, and ceiling are lighter.
