M1 - He has to go back

Apart from her major worry that she could not communicate easily with her brother, especially with Ethan around or the possibility that Ethan may sneak into her thoughts without her permission, she had other plans which had already taken a shape.

And for her to execute this plan, avoiding Ethan for a little while was absolutely necessary.

Based on the fragmented memories she had stitched together, she felt that Ethan may be in danger. She had to find more details around this.

Her first plan of action would be to get Ethan out of danger as him being in danger meant her life directly in danger as they were merged at soul level.

She did not want Ethan to get involved right at the beginning as she herself wasn't sure until she gathered more information.

Ethan had accepted the invite from her parents to be with her. Or did he intentionally accept it for reasons known to him?

From what she understood, since the time he was here on earth Ethan behaved a little differently from how he had behaved while he was on Zon.

While on Zon he seemed to be worried all the time and was a Moma's boy literally depending on his mother to take the simplest of simple decisions. He seemed to be much more happier and relaxed here with her family than on Zon.

She also wondered why he had held her captive in the initial days while she was on Zon and took time to introduce her to his family if he had really liked her.

Was something bothering him? Was he hiding something from her? She knew that he would never tell her as she knew he had concealed everything in his personal auto-thought book.

Ethan showed no indications of returning back to Zon. This way she wouldn't know about what's been hidden from her and it would be difficult for her to probe around unless he went back to Zon.

Rachael decided to stay with her parents for some more time and also planned to give flying visits to Zon to see if she could pick something unusual.

She had to plan further and she needed Ray's help. She concealed her flash memory and only the ones she had planned remained in her open memory.

Till Ethan was here the only method she could use to communicate with Ray was an email and a text message to let him know about the email. This would generally be sent to Ray once after he went to his room, post dinner.

So far it seemed safe as Ethan had still not got a hint of this or he would easily crack it in a few seconds.

Rachael came inside the room and started drafting a mail to Ray but the email would be sent later in the night after dinner.

"Ray, I am finding it difficult to talk to you with Ethan around and I feel restricted.

Even after encrypting the email I still am not sure how safe it is. There are something's which I need to discuss with you but cannot mention it over email as it will get recorded.

Ethan may not be aware that I have been emailing you and with his advanced technical skills, it's a child play for him read through the email contents.

I need a way out to talk to you in private. I don't want Ethan, Mum and Dad to know about it.

- Your Sis "

After composing the email she saved it in her drafts and concealed this memory too now that it was in the drafted email.

Concealing the memory served as a barricade for anyone trying to read a person's thought or memory. However the person holding the memory would still remember his or her memories even with the concealment but it would be a little hazy.

After she planned the first steps on what needs to done, she realised her body was aching which she had forgotten all this while. Why did her body hurt so much? She thought to ask Ray while she got a chance to speak to him in private.

Luckily enough her parents had enrolled both Ray and her for energy healing classes early in their life and this came in handy for minor ailments.

She laid down on the bed and initiated the energy flow to her body. She sent beautiful healing energy to all her seven chakras to heal the pain and as the warm energy seeped in she felt drowsy and drifted off to sleep. She slept deeply with no care in the world.

She woke up with a jolt only when she heard the loud banging on the door. She quickly rushed to the door and opened to see Ray, Ethan, her dad and mum all outside. Her mom seemed to be crying.

"What's wrong? Why is mum crying?" asked Rachael.

It looked like they were all relieved seeing her.

"Sis, mum felt you were not well since the time she saw you in the morning. It's close to evening and you did not even come out for lunch. All of us came and knocked at the door many times and you did not open. We tried call you on your phone but we did not get a response. This got all of us worried"

"Oh guys common, could you not have used other methods to check on me rather than just knocking and banging the door" sighed Rachael.

"Well Sis, you had told us that you wanted to be alone so we did not want to intrude" he gave a wink to Rachael indicating something was going on.

"Well then, now that I am up, just give me a while. I'll freshen up and come out.

As it was post lunch hour she no longer had an appetite. Her body no longer ached. After freshening up she went to the kitchen and made some tea for herself.

She came to the hall where everyone were seated. It was the New Year day the first day of the year and most of her day was spent thinking and sleeping. And she did not feel or regret that she had wasted her day.

"Sweetheart, are you okay?" Mr. Samuel asked his daughter

"I am okay dad, just had this extreme body ache since morning and had drifted off to sleep while healing myself. Nothing else" Rachael said as she was holding her tea and deciding on a place to sit.

She found a place near her mother and sat next to her although there was enough place for two people to sit next to Ethan.

"Oh that's good then, your mom got anxious. We will be out for a week or two and she was worried for you, after seeing your state this morning. She even asked me to cancel the plans"

"Mum, please don't treat us like kids. We can take care of ourselves" said Rachael

"I know you are all grown up now but for me you will always be my baby" her mother told looking at her affectionately.

"Oh mum! I love you" said Rachael as she hugged her mother.

The hug was interrupted when they heard Mr. Samuel clear his throat to get their attention.

"Oh yes, we missed telling all of you that your mum and I were planning on visiting your aunt Sarah who has recently moved, to Florida. She invited us for New Year but since we knew you both will be here with us this year, we told her that we will visit her in the New Year. Do you guys want to join us? We are yet to book the tickets."

"Oh, that's so nice to know that Aunt Sara finally decided to move to earth. We will visit her but may be not this time" said Rachael.

"Yes dad, Rachael and I have been deciding to go back to Zon. It's been quite a while we have been here" Ethan pitched in and this annoyed Rachael as Ethan was deciding things for her without letting her know of it.

She hardly spoke to him nowadays and this came as a surprise when Ethan said that they both had decided. She did not remember talking anything on those lines to Ethan.

She couldn't show her irritation in front of her parents. However, Rachael was smarter and wittier than Ethan. She felt that this was the right opportunity for her to strike.

"Oh yes dad, we planned to go back to Zon, but I have a slight change in my plans. I want to stay here for few more days as I planned to visit few of my school friends. Ethan can go ahead to Zon and I will follow him a few days later" Rachael had lied.

She wanted Ethan to go back and she would not let go off an opportunity to send him back. Ethan felt like he lost a match.

"Okay everyone listen up" Ray who was listening to everyone's conversation till now spoke up.

Everyone looked at him. It looked like he was upto something and they were eagerly waiting to see what was coming up.

"I know we all partied last night but not together as a family. So I have booked a table for us tonight for dinner in Le Bernardin so we can celebrate the New Year as a family" he said looking at all of them.

Ray was not happy the way the New Year party had turned out for his sister. He wanted to makeup for it by treating her so that she enjoyed the rest of the day.

He knew he was the one who had dragged her to the party cutting off her original plans. Had he not forced her, may be her sister wouldn't have gone through what she went through in the party.

He also decided to introduce Sophia to his parents during the dinner tonight. Better late than never he thought to himself.

Had he invited only Rachael and not the rest of the family, everyone would doubt him, so he felt this was a better way.
