Cassie tried to muster up every last bit of courage she had, trying not to let the fear overcome her. Thoughts of Kevin, Lucca, and her friends provided a glimmer of strength that helped her stay afloat. She had to find a way out, not just for herself, but for them too. However, as she looked up at the creature, Cassie knew that fighting back was not an easy option.
The red-robed creature grinned, as if it could sense the determination that began to strengthen within Cassie. "You think you can escape?" its voice was filled with mockery. "There's no place in the world that can hide you from me. But you can try, Cassie. It'll make the game more interesting."
