I said aloud as I felt the empty all echo my words.

"Wait! I just apologized, aren't you going to say anything?" I asked, my throat slightly dry at the intense gaze he flashed across me.

Before I could do anything, I felt a strong hand take hold of me as he pinned me to the wall, causing me to groan in pain slightly.

With his eyes fixed with mine, he said, "Not everything is a joke Ming Mei, whatever prank you are trying to do should stop this minute… I've had enough!"

He muttered as he then let go of me, walked away, leaving me still stuck to the wall in shock.

I apologized already, yet he still treated me like this. Sigh! What did I expect? It wasn't like he would forgive me so easily.

I remembered this scene in the novel, it was the part where the male lead was being bullied by The servants and was accused of stealing rice, even when his wife was the second daughter of this family.

Regardless of that, he was mistreated and insulted by the common maids, and My sister didn't even care what was going on with her husband.

In the end, the female lead appeared and defended him, even though her status in the family wasn't as solid as that of the villianess and her sister, because of her good heart, she was respected by the servants and maids and in that process stole the love of the male lead.

Ah! This was precisely what I needed, I am going to make sure the male lead believes that I have changed.

He must forgive me and see me as his friend and companion.

Quickly stepping forward, I stood in between Jin ling and The servant.
