Beast Soul Academy

Today was the day, when the Beast Soul Academy recruited new students for each junior, intermediate and advanced classes.

Xiao Tian woke up early in the morning and practiced his Basic Spear Arts second level with 4 times gravity on the Heavy Earth Spear, for 30 minutes before he was exhausted. He cultivated for an hour and went to take a bath.

After bath, he went to the dining hall to have breakfast with his parents.

Once, Xiao Tian reached the dining hall, he saw Xiao Hai and Tian Shui eating some fruits while waiting for him.

" Good morning... Mom, dad. Sorry for making you wait.".. said Xiao Tian while sitting on the dining table..

" No worries. Today's your big day, so let's go to the Beast Soul Academy early to line up.".. said Xiao Hai while reading the accounts book of the commerce chamber.

" Yes, dad.".. said Xiao Tian and started digging into the breakfast.

" Tian'er, there will be other people who'll be awakening with you later. So make some friends, as you'll be together for a very long time.".. said Tian Shui with a smile on her face.

Tian Shui wanted her son to have reliable friends, who'll later become his trusted allies in the future.

" Mom, do you have any idea how many people will be there for awakening their martial souls?".. asked Xiao Tian curiously.

" Mmm... there'll be at least 200 people. Afterall, everyone wants to join a top soul master academy.".. said Tian Shui with a thoughtful look on her face.

" What is the criteria for accepting students?".. asked Xiao Tian with a casual look on his face.

" The main criteria for the junior classes recruitment will be to have a minimum of rank 6 innate soul power. The rest of the things are your background verification, etc.".. said Tian Shui while sipping a cup of tea.

Xiao Tian nodded and quickly finished his breakfast.

After 15 minutes, Xiao Tian and his parents finished their breakfast and were currently sitting in a luxurious carriage pulled by two 1000 year old 'Thunder Lions' which were domesticated since their birth.

They were on their way to the Beast Soul Academy, which was outside the Tian Dou City.

After 30 minutes, Xiao Tian and his parents reached the Academy's entrance.

The entrance was crowded by may people of various age groups. They were here for their children's admission.

There were nobles and commoners all waiting at the entrance. The only difference was, noble were waiting in their carriage while the commoners were standing.

There was still an hour before the entrance opened, that's why everyone was waiting outside.

" Damn.. That's a huge crowd.".. said Xiao Tian with a shocked expression.

" Well, everyone wants to try their luck.".. said Tian Shui with a light chuckle.

" Don't look at the number. Barely 30% of them will be qualified.".. said Xiao Hai with a look of nostalgia.

It has to be known that there were at least 1000 children of Xiao Tian's age waiting at the entrance. There were also their parents and older children from other kingdoms, who wanted to either apply to join the intermediate or advanced Beast Soul Academy.

And Xiao Hai saying 'barely 30% will be qualified' , is already an overstatement. Afterall, not all of the empires talents come to join the Beast Soul Academy. Some people go to other academies like Skywater Academy ( focuses on ice and water type martial souls ) , Blazing Academy ( which focuses on fire type martial souls ) and other elemental academies.

Also, most of the talented and ordinary soul masters are poached away by the 'Martial Soul Palace' in the name of helping the civilians.

Looking at Xiao Tian's carriage and the beast pulling it, many people became scared and made way for the carriage to pass.

Xiao Tian's carriage moved towards the entrance and soon was stopped at the gate by the guards.

Before the guards could reprimand Xiao Tian's group, Xiao Hai threw a purple jade token with a dragon carved on it at the guards. One of the guards quickly caught the jade token and looked at it and was shocked.

" Greetings, senior. I'll open the gate for you.".. said the guard respectfully to Xiao Hai who was sitting in the carriage.

The guard quickly said two words 'Shadow Dragon' to rest of the guards before he started opening the gate. The other guards were also shocked and hurried to open the gates.

The guards who caught the token came to the carriage and respectfully handed the token back to Xiao Hai, and bowed before leaving.

Xiao Tian's carriage smoothly entered the academy and went towards the 'Hall of Awakening' which was in the inner area of the academy, where the academy's core members lived.

" Dad, what was that token and why were the guards so respectful when they saw it?".. asked Xiao Tian with pure confusion and dumbfounded expression on his face.

" This is the token of a 'Shadow Dragon Douluo', who is also the founder and dean of the Beast Soul Academy. The people who have this token can be counted on two hands".. said Xiao Hai with a proud face.

" What!! Why do you have the token of a title douluo? You're not even the most talented student of the academy.".. asked Xiao Tian out loudly, and a few words were uttered subconciously.

Xiao Hai's face froze and his face became red. His body shook slightly for a moment before he shot an angry gaze at Xiao Tian.

Xiao Tian turned his head and started whistling, as if he did nothing wrong.

Looking at the father son duo's antics, Tian Shui started giggling elegantly.

" Hmph.. This token was given to me by the dean for funding the college every year.".. said Xiao Hai with a snort.

Although, Xiao Hai looked angry, he wasn't really angry and was pretending to be.

After the small episode, Xiao Tian's group had already reached the 'Hall of Awakening'.

Standing outside the hall were many teachers of the academy, with whom were their children or relatives, who were of Xiao Tian's age.

The 'Hall of Awakening' is a special place, only accusable to the Academy's core members. It was for the awakening of their children and relatives children.

After all, which organization doesn't give preferential treatment to their core members.

The people outside the gate could only awaken their souls at the outer area, which was very tiring and time consuming.

Xiao Tian, Xiao Hai and Tian Shui slowly stepped out of the carriage. As soon as they stepped out, many of the adults standing there warmly nodded at Xiao Hai and Tian Shui.

The people here were all core members and knew Xiao Hai and Tian Shui. Not only because of being genius alumni, but also because of their funding.

Xiao Hai and Tian Shui warmly responded to them. While, Xiao Tian was following behind his parents.

Just as Xiao Tian was following his parents, he suddenly felt as if a missile was launched at him. Xiao Tian knew he should dodge it, but his instincts told him, if he dodged he'll been in a big trouble.

Soon, a small creature crashed into his body and made him fall on his back.

" Tian Ge, I missed you to death.".. said the small creature with a longing expression and tightly hugged Xiao Tian's body.

Who else could that creature be, if not 'Yun Yun'.

She was already standing outside the hall like other people with her mother, and had seen Xiao Tian come out of the carriage. But she didn't come out and greet him, she wanted to surprise him.

" Yun'er, there are people watching.".. said Xiao Tian with a helpless expression on his face.

Yun Yun, only now noticed her bold actions and blushed heavily. Her face was beet red and steam could be seen coming from her head.

She quickly buried her face in Xiao Tian's 'manly' chest. His 'manly' chest ahem..

" Tian Ge, It's all your fault.".. said Yun Yun in an embarrassed tone while being buried in Xiao Tian's 'manly' chest.

Everyone there laughed at Yun Yun's words, Xiao Hai, Tian Shui, Ming Yue and Ling Shui were laughing the loudest.

Some of the little boys even gave Xiao Tian a secret thumbs up.

Xiao Tian's face was dark, as if he had eaten shit.

He stood up with Yun Yun and walked back to his parents as if nothing happened.
