23 The Holy knight vs Ralph Rivera

Everyone was confused and shocked at what Cable just said, the relief that they were moving towards was nowhere to be seen instead they were faced with Cable's insanity. At this Ralph shouted angrily

"You betraying assh@*e didn't I said you could back off if you want, then why!!!?"

Lina could not speak anything due to unexpected betrayal and maids were panicking trying to wake up Snow who fall unconscious due to suddenly Cutting the connection from channeling mana inside of glyph. Cable said while pulling his hair

"This is not betrayal, My Lord!!..... I never said this before because you would not agree, still, you are not.....and even I cannot. I too am feeling like this baby is not evil and what I am doing is wrong but Priest explained it that we are Charmed by Demon's apostle unknown skill!!"

Ralph could not say anything anymore seeing the insane Cable and when he just lookout to see where they are reaching or he could use a barrier to stop carriage by force. But what he saw made him disappointed although he had expected this much at least he look back to everyone inside and just said this

"Do not panic, no matter what I will protect you all"

Because what he saw outside was that they are moving towards an army of armed paladins, Knights led by Holy knight waiting in their arrival. And insane Cable was still saying

"There is no need to worry just give the Demon Apostle…we are charmed…they won't hurt us, they promised"

There was a reason behind this insanity of Cable raised by a father who become a war orphan due to the Demon-Human war 50 years before, taught Cable to hate and despise Demon as enemies and threat to the world his upbringing and the fact that Ryu got a Blessing of someone called Demon God to make him feel conflicted and scared. He went to meet with High Priest when he left the mansion earlier to clear his emotions and High Priest used these emotions this insanity to manipulate him into the current situation.

The carriage was moving fast towards the enemies waiting. The Holy Knight was thinking

'I will not leave him I will slash that kid into pieces, the viscount and that B*tch of Crimson flame too. I will get back at them for my humiliation' he began laughing seeing the approaching carriage and ordered the mage standing beside him

"Blow it up!!!"

And the mage just nodded and cast the huge flame ball towards the approaching carriage and fall unconscious.

The fast huge rushing flame ball collided with the approaching carriage but something weird happened the colliding Flame ball didn't move further as soon as it touch the Carriage's exterior, the exterior started to melt.

The reason for this was that Ralph cast his [Multiple Barrier] skill and wind barrier magic as soon as he sensed approaching mana. Seeing Ralph standing unharmed surrounded by melted carriage exterior which bulls rush away The Holy knight bit his tongue and shouted

"Give up, Lord and Goddess might still find some mercy for you and your family. Give me the baby Lord!!!!"

"Drop the act!!!, You Fake Holy Knight" Ralph shouted back angrily

"What are you saying Lord, ha... I guess your mind is already consumed by the strange charm skill. People!!, it is hard but we will have to give up on lord and his family for the greater good" with a voice that seemed concerned and sad

"Try your best, I won't let any harm come to any one of them," Ralph said with a cold and clear voice which seemed low but was strangely heard by everyone and sent a chill to the spine of enemies

Some knights were shaken by what the Holy Knight said, but they maintained their position because they were trained to not panic no matter what even though Ralph was their teacher. Right now he is just their enemy a heretic.

The Holy knight behind him Paladins and Knights followed by Priests and Priestesses for healing a formation which was perfectly balanced still they could not be confident because they were against the kingdom's best barrier master and Lina of Crimson flames the names which show their strength.

Both sides were staring at each other for some time no side moving and then Holy knight's shout broke the silence

"Attack the heretics" and he followed by soldiers starts rushing toward them

"[Multiple Barriers],[Anti-Mana Barrier],[Silver shell Barrier]!!!" Ralph shouted while pointing towards approaching enemies all the three barrier skills activated and overlapped with each other

"NO ONE WILL LEAVE THE BARRIER!!!" Ralph shouted with resolve and looked towards Ryu in Lina's arm

".....Ralph" Lina speak his name in a concerned voice

"Just support me from behind," Ralph told her and started to Run toward the approaching enemies

"O wind great and destructive the force behind cyclones, enforce my arms!!!"

As soon as Ralph chants this wind started to spin around his arms at high speed and he punched Holy Knight who parries his arm aside with his sword and Ralph punches a Knight and snatches his sword.

The few blows were exchanged with many knights using the snatched sword transferring the wind magic enforcement on it the Holy knight looking for a moment slashed from behind with his skill [silver flame slash] at the moment Ralph pushed back the knight.

The Holy knight slash burns Ralph's blue coat and now he was just in the armor he was wearing inside the coat but this does not stop Ralph from fighting back as he creates distance between himself and them by jumping behind and pointing towards them.

As soon as he does that many knights find themselves unable to move Ralph as soon as he had pointed towards them had cast his skill [Multiple Barriers] which entrapped the knights inside.

"You cannot ever win Lord!!!!, Give up the baby and you will suffer less" Holy Knight shouted while leaping towards Ralph emitting an aura of danger and Ralph just bend backward and shout

"[Light screen]!!!"

"[Silver Flame slash] [Silver sword Reinforcement] This is it Lord!!!" But mid-air crimson flames appear and the Holy knight slashed at the flames. Mid-air the silver and crimson flames clashed together causing rippling in each other.

"He is not alone!!!, Holy knight" Lina shouted to this Holy knight smirked while stabbing his sword in-ground and spoke back with a sly smile

"You can never win Crimson flames, the advantage back at Church being closed space is gone!!!" he said while pointing towards fallen knights who were standing up again the fallen knights were being healed by Priest and priestess.

And he again ran toward Ralph they exchanged many slashes Ralph was trapping Knights again and again in barriers the problem was that he can only use some of the skills one at a time.

The fight was going on the Brightest Star started to appear slowly in the sky and seeing it Holy Knight started laughing and said in a low voice while his sword was pushing against Ralph's sword

"You know what is the best thing about being a Holy Knight" Ralph did not answer and kept fighting.

But then his body began to feel sluggish and suddenly Holy knight was getting faster, Then Ralph noticed the Cable who disappeared as soon they start to fight was standing beside Priest and Priestesses and was casting Magic on both of them seeing him like that Ralph think while backing off

'Insane betrayer'

And then using his newfound speed boost Holy Knight come near Ralph who cast a barrier and said in a low and cold voice while slashing downwards

"People believe you blindly, even if you kill beastkins kid or declare Viscount a heretic"

"You f*c***!!!" Ralph shouted back angrily while slashing back violently

The odds were against them the knights and Paladins were being healed rapidly and also recovering mana using Mana potions Meanwhile, Ralph was slowly losing all of his mana and can only use barrier skills and magic a few more times, and his physical strengths were reduced by Cable's debuff magic. This was a fight where winning would not make any difference in the first place they were already declared Heretics and the more this fight goes on the more their chances went down.

These all things were going through Ralph's mind and he took a hard decision and while backing off he started to laugh loudly which took the paladins, knights even Holy Knight was taken aback by this sudden change in Ralph.

Ralph runs back towards the barrier he made at the begging to protect the family he put his hand on the barrier and shouted while laughing

"You, have done it Holy knight I will not hold back now even if this is power, I can only use it once in 4 years I will use it now even use my manifest to kill you this one-shot which is bound to bring enemy near dead or even kill them. My biggest attack"

Hearing all this Holy knight stabbed his sword in-ground and summoned a silver barrier.

And Ralph starts to shout in a mocking voice

"This is my best attack brace yourself Holy knight, Bestowed skill of Rivera family [Dome of Control]" and then a somewhat bigger Dome of a translucent blue color similar to the hair color of Ralph appear surrounding Ralph and the previous Barrier and then Ralph broke the blue gem on the chest part of his armor and suddenly the dome expanded in a blink of an eye and as soon as he looked above Holy knight noticed the whole town of Epnir is now inside the [Dome of control] of Ralph and shouted at Ralph with an irritated look

"YOU BASTARD!! HOW DARE YOU BLUFF ME!!" and then looking around and coming back to his senses noticing he need to act holy he changed his words

"YOU LYING HERETIC!!!!, YOU DARE BLUFF TO ME"
