Jue's Kukri

The light came inside the room through the windows, the sky was clear, and the room was full of brightness.

"Man, who turned on the lights this early!!" Ryu complained as he woke up sluggishly,

After the Fusion souls finished the work at Adventurer's Guild the previous day, they came back straight to the Inn for a nice rest. Ryu sat on the edge of his bed and looked towards Aiena, who was tightly being held by Rafa in sleep,

'She sure is struggling' Ryu smirked, he wondered if he should give her a hand but then he remembered all the time Aiena did the same thing with him since he was a kid and just joined his hands and spoke in a low voice to not wake up Rafa or Aiena,

"What you give is what the world returned!! Karama is everywhere"

'They sure are looking cute, he thought and stood up as he remembered the events that happened after adventurers Guild. Many adventurers were giving them looks filled with various emotions and Rafa didn't make it any better.

'She sure is a no good' Ryu sighed as he remembered the stuff she did, from trying to hunt a carriage horse to eating porridge by directly putting her mouth in the bowl she did all sorts of suspicious stuff and it took Fusion souls heck of a time to justify each one and also teaching her how to use a spoon,

Ryu looked around and felt something was missing and realized Jue, who was asleep beside him, was missing.

'Where did that brat go!?' Ryu thought as he quietly went toward the door. So Aiena and Rafa will not be disturbed.

"Good morning, Ryu," the lady at reception said,

"Good morning mam, by any chance have you seen my little brother?" Ryu asked the receptionist, and she nodded.

"I saw him go with Fiona of Pearl party towards the Adventurer's Guild."

"What!? Who is this, Fiona?" Ryu asked confused as he was sure Jue have no acquittances out of Zerah,

"Remember the beef you had the day before you left for dungeon conquering"

"Her…?" asked Ryu with a confused voice.

"Yes, her, that aside you want to have breakfast? As a congratulation on conquering that bomb of a dungeon, I'll even make you a toast as service," the innkeeper said happily.

"I'll just wait till I am back!!" I said as I went towards the door.

'I never knew that brat would be this fast!!....' Ryu thought as he went out on the road his mind full of thoughts.

'Do he like small breas… no' Ryu walked faster,

'Was she a shota-con!?" Ryu's imagination was running wild as he rushed towards the Adventurers Guild,

'Uhh… I should've woke Aiena and Rafa up' he wondered if he locked the room properly but knew with Rafa by her side it would be unimaginable for Aiena to get in trouble as Rafa was stronger than himself,

'Jue you brat just what are you doing this early with that girl!!' Ryu thought and as he reached near the adventurer's guild, he heard a voice like Jue coming from the training area,

"No… No more!! I can't keep it straight"

"You said you wanted to try it…. just keep it straight unless you are going to join our party to have all the time in the world to do it" Ryu instantly recognized this voice as the voice of the party leader he called small chested before.

"Haiii!! Haiii!!" Jue's voice roared, and Ryu became confused about what to do as he thought,

'What are they doing in the open!!? Is Jue that kinky? Does she know he is a minor!? Like it could've been m…' he was worried that his little brother was losing his Virginity-Card way before him, and resolved,

'I can't let this keep going'

Ryu entered the training ground without a delay while shouting,

"Jue you horny brat!! and you ped…." But what he saw was completely unexpected,

Jue stood there with a kukri in hand, his arm bent behind his back over his shoulder, and Fiona the party leader of the pearl party sat beside him on a bench and looked with shock and despise toward Ryu.

"Umm, you what are you doing? Jue?" Ryu asked, confused due to the gap between his imagination and reality,

"Ahh big brother, you woke up," Jue said as he stopped maintaining his stance,

"What were you doing here this early?" Ryu questioned in a strict tone, trying to shift attention from whatever he said earlier.

"I was just learning kukri skills from teacher Fiona…. Sorry to not inform I thought I will be back before you woke up" Jue looked apologetic and Ryu smacked him on the head saying what if something would've happened,

"What would Hina's big sister say if you were to disappear!?" Ryu scolded with an awkward expression and Jue apologized again, more sincerely,

"Kids I do not have…" Fiona approached them, but Ryu looked at her and spoke.

"Don't bring those short…." And suddenly a kukri was thrown towards his head,

"What the f@ck let me finish the sentence first…" Ryu complained as he dodged the kukri by an inch,

"I knew you would say something rude!!"

"I was just saying short feet!!" said Ryu as he whistled, looking aside, and Fiona replied with an exhausted expression,

"Whatever, sit at the table. I do not have the whole day to teach the kid here,"

'Wonder why is he learning kukri now….' Ryu wondered but didn't ask as he thought even Jue has the right to have hobbies and privacy.

As they sat down Fiona began instructing Jue again and Ryu listened with concentration too, aside from her anger issues on sensitive topics she seem like a great leader and instructor.

"Now maintain that posture and as you throw, the Kukri, make sure to spin!!" she shouted,

"No… no more!!" Jue complained with strain in his hand, and Ryu went

'Ahh, so this was what was going on'

"Now throw!!" Fiona said and Jue threw the kukri. Ryu was shocked even for a second but the kukri spun like a ninja star,

Fiona seemed satisfied as she nodded and spoke.

"It was better, but you need to sling it… try again"

"What are you teaching him?" Ryu curiously ask Fiona who replied with a bitter expression,

"It is a condition fulfillment skill and basic of kukri…. The skill is called [Short Blade spin] if he can throw Kukri in a spinning manner for a considerable distance once the skill will be formed"

Ryu nodded with understanding but thought he didn't need kukri as he had daggers which would basically do work of that skill with [Dagger shot], but he noticed Fiona who was looking at Jue with a passionate gaze, and coughed.

"He is wonderful…. What kind of training did he have? He is learning it at a tremendous speed," Fiona said like a proud teacher?

'Well he's been doing Geld's impossible techniques with me since he was a kid' Ryu sighed as he explained what kind of sword art they learned vaguely and Fiona was dumbstruck,

"Is it a new martial art style!? I never heard of something like it" she seemed interested and Ryu and she kept talking about Geld's sword style,

Jue focused on his practice for half an hour restlessly and he finally conquered it.

"I did it!! [Short Blade Spin]" Jue used the skill he got, and it worked perfectly, so perfectly he cut a branch from a tree nearby,

"I never expected you would do it in a day," Fiona said as she moved towards Jue looking a bit proud but a bit jealous at the same time.

"A shame talent like you can't be in the same party as me," Jue nodded as he spoke,

"I will pay you back any way I could instead of that Fiona teacher"

'How did their bond grow this fast!?' wondered Ryu as he had already heard how Jue approached Fiona after learning about her Kukri skill and style and also how she was initially reluctant to teach a son of noble but she couldn't say no to Jue's cute face, Fiona spoke,

"Now to the tips with the basic kukri, always try behind your torso backward while fighting with kukri as the blades are short, the long sword can reach your chest from a distance" hearing this Ryu smirked as he said,

"Now I know why you have it short…"

"It isn't related" she looked straight into Ryu's eyes with anger visible in hers,

"I was just saying you have short ches… for advan…." Ryu tried finishing,

but before he could say anything a [Short Blade Spin], was shot upon him and Fiona continued,

"See, the skill is even useful in close range,"

"Oii, you did that intentionally!!" complained Ryu, but Fiona didn't bait an eye as she thought,

'Next time I'll aim for the head if you try being disrespectful' even though she was just thinking it Ryu got chills and decided to remain quiet as she explained things further and finally after 15 mins their chat came to an end.

"Let's hurry back to Inn," Ryu said as he knew Aiena and Rafa might be awake by now and that later they have to go meet the count of the town.

"Yes, big brother, once again thank you so much Fiona teacher!!" Jue bowed politely and Fiona was happy until she thought this child was going to grow with Ryu and will be influenced by him and she sighed as she spoke.

"No need for thanks my student, also try not to learn anything from him"

"Big brother is usually kind"

Fiona stared hard at Ryu as all she saw was a cheeky bastard who keeps referring to short and Ryu frowned as he spoke.

"Got any complaints?"

this was how their training session came to an end and Jue learned a short sword skill who knew that this first experience would inspire Jue to learn multiple weapon styles and varying condition fulfillment skills from various adventurers wherever they went, all they knew, for now, was that they should hurry back Inn before Aiena and Rafa woke up,

Ryu thought as they make their way to Inn,

'I can ask Jue to teach it to me later!!'
