Four Years Later

"We're not going anywhere with you; everyone is evil."

"Ma'am, please put down that gun."

"You don't get to tell me what to do with my gun."

In a place south of Canada, precisely in a community where it seemed there were only young children, the advance group of the New Dawn Unification Organization was trying to evacuate these people to a safe location.

Bang!

"We're not going with you."

The social agents stepped back as the woman fired into the air. They didn't want to cause trouble, but they certainly needed to mobilize people who might be facing extinction, meaning those not following the right path of evolution.

Dominic, now taller, more muscular, and sporting a different haircut, advanced among the soldiers who didn't want to cause trouble. "How do you expect the lady to calm down if you don't stop pointing your guns at her?"

"Sir, she could be dangerous."

"I've taken more shots than you can imagine. Lower your damn weapons." Dominic was evaluating the performance of these new soldiers and couldn't believe they couldn't resolve this simple matter.

The woman, who had her shotgun raised at the agents in strange uniforms, shifted her aim to Dominic as he got closer. "I told your people we don't need help."

"Everyone needs help these days—medicine, food, entertainment. Even if you have all of the above, quality medical care is necessary at some point in your life. Do you think your teeth will stay healthy forever with the little care they've received recently?" Dominic's words were cold; everyone needed help, especially the children in the back.

The woman was elderly; she had been a language teacher, and when everything happened, she protected her students in this place they were visiting as a social project.

"I just want to protect them." The woman collapsed, losing the strength in her legs. She was just a woman trying to be strong in front of armed men.

Dominic stepped forward, held the woman who was about to fall to the ground, and signaled his men to move aside. "Tell me, ma'am, what's your name?"

"Aisha..."

"Very well, Aisha, let me congratulate you. You've done a great job taking care of all those children, so now let me take on that responsibility." Dominic said, holding Aisha, who just nodded her head.

Dominic cared about nothing more than this woman's understanding and said, "We killed some bandits nearby; I suppose they've been tormenting you, but that won't happen again. You've been a strong woman; you have my respect, so just make sure to heal those wounds."

"Take this woman with the children; they all need medical exams." Dominic handed the woman to some paramedics, who took her to the trucks.

At that moment, at least thirty children were taken out of this shelter. From their appearance, they were all in the final stages before dying of malnutrition.

"Sir, we've received notification that they've found a military base near this location."

Dominic nodded, walked towards the trucks, and said, "Let's get out of here. Let's see what we can find at that location."

"Sir, your woman explicitly told me you shouldn't participate in dangerous operations."

"She won't find out." Dominic thought of Alicia. They never married, but both considered each other special. Over time, everything changed to the point where, accidentally but not untimely, she became pregnant with three beautiful girls. As a father, he could say that things were much more complex in many aspects of life.

But precisely because he was a father, he needed to ensure that this world was essential for their future. Dominic wasn't young; he was only twenty-five, but with all he had experienced, his appearance was much more mature.

A man in every aspect who had never retired from the battlefield.

"Come on, Tom, stop hunting the poor rabbits." Dominic gave a loud shout, and from the bushes emerged a huge tiger that climbed onto the truck and sat beside him.

All the soldiers accompanying him didn't react; they knew Dominic's tiger, named Tom, was very well-trained and practically a special member of the group that helped in tracking missions.

A huge and beautiful cat.
