"Arrr!"

Upon seeing the short dagger in Jack's hand, the black man's face became more ferocious. With a roar, he lunged forward with a machete.

The sharp machete could slice through a neck like butter, so he tried to use the length of his weapon to gain the upper hand in this battle.

But Jack, instead of confronting his enemy head-on, remained calm, holding his knife up while slowly retreating.

As for the man with the machete, who appeared half-crazed, he swung his weapon wildly forward, but no matter how he slashed horizontally or vertically, none of his attacks hit the mark.

This feeling of helplessness could have a negative effect, so the black man shouted with an ugly expression, "Damn son of a bitch, stop running!"

"You're an idiot."

Jack coldly snorted at such a low-level provocation, completely ignoring it. He simply dodged his opponent's attacks without responding.

Seeing how he was being ignored, the man with the machete became even more manic, and his offense grew more violent.

Watching the flashing blades flying in front of him, Jack's eyes remained unfazed. Judging by his opponent's figure, though he might engage in regular physical training, such a clumsy attack revealed a lack of systematic training.

The opponent wasted so much energy; this kind of offense couldn't last long. All Jack needed to do was wait on the defensive.

Sure enough, after several minutes of continuous attack, Jack clearly noticed that his enemy's machete speed was slowing down.

The black man also realized that his physical strength was rapidly declining and that he might suffer a loss if he continued like this, so he planned to step back and rest.

But at such a perfect moment, how could Jack give him a chance to retreat? The moment he sensed his enemy pulling back, the dagger in his hand began to swing rhythmically, attacking his opponent and revealing the hidden power of his blade.

Jack's sudden attack caught the black man off guard. When he saw the stabbing dagger, he quickly swept it away with his machete.

Bang! Crack!

When the machete and dagger collided, there was a sharp sound of metal, and sparks flew.

Despite the size advantage of the machete, Jack only felt a numbness in the hand holding the dagger.

But he didn't care at all and continued using his weapon. The dagger swung flexibly in his hand, moving toward his enemy's chest.

Although the machete had the advantage of length, it was extremely difficult to wield at such close range.

Seeing the dagger approach, an indescribable fear suddenly surged through the black man, causing him to retreat quickly to try to avoid it.

But his movements were a bit too slow, and the dagger's edge slashed upward along his left abdomen, creating a gash over ten centimeters long.

Immediately, a large amount of blood gushed from the wound. Had he not retreated in time, the knife might have spilled all his internal organs.

Covering the bleeding wound, the black man no longer had the ferocity from earlier. Instead, he stared at his opponent with a terrified expression, the fear of death making his body tremble uncontrollably.

He didn't have the courage to fight anymore; he turned and ran toward the back, trying to escape quickly.

"If you come to kill people, you must know that those people can kill you too."

Raising his eyebrows slightly, watching the cowardly appearance of his opponent, completely different from before, Jack muttered to himself. He walked a few steps behind, picked up the gun from a dead rebel, and aimed at the black man's back.

Although he lacked the energy to assist with shooting, his own shooting skills weren't bad. After aiming for a moment, he pulled the trigger.

Bang, bang, bang!

Bullets shot out from the gun, hitting the black man's back as he hadn't run far.

Thud!

Hit by a bullet in the back, the black man let out a cry and fell heavily to the ground, raising a cloud of dust before dying.

But at that moment, a figure moved among the corpses, raised a gun, and aimed at Jack's back, pulling the trigger.

Bang!

Bang, bang!

Jack, feeling the strong impact of the bullet hitting his back, lunged forward. After turning his head, he fired twice at his enemy.

Bang, bang!

After resolving the situation, Jack breathed a few times and anxiously checked his back. Although it hurt like hell, it seemed the bullets hadn't penetrated his armor. Jack holstered his gun, then picked up a rifle from the ground and was about to assist Emma.

But before he could take a few steps, he heard footsteps approaching rapidly. He leaned against the back of the bunker and peeked out to check the situation.

"Jack, it's us!"

Perhaps knowing Jack was nearby, one of them shouted Jack's name.

Hearing the familiar voice, Jack felt relieved. He then slowly stepped out from behind the bunker and looked at the approaching group. Emma, along with another soldier and a few others, came closer.

"How are you? You don't look good!" Seeing that Emma was injured, Jack hurried to check her wound and asked with concern.

"Oh, it's fine; I won't die from something like this!"

Supported by her teammate, Emma lifted her head with some difficulty, forced a smile, and said, "Though I got shot, they all lost their lives."

As she spoke, she looked at a new sniper rifle in someone's hand and smiled: "It's not like I didn't get any trophies."

After carefully observing Emma for a while and confirming that there wouldn't be any major problems in the short term, Jack let out a sigh of relief.

"Alright, let's get going now."

"You're bleeding…"

"It's not mine."

There was no time to ask how the others had arrived. He led the group to the side of two adjacent military trucks and said, "If you want to survive, you must take the trucks and follow us. We don't know what will happen on the way, so just focus on moving forward."

"Yes, sir."

Knowing that time was urgent, they didn't say much. They just glanced at the two trucks full of supplies and quickly boarded.

When Jack turned the key, the military truck's engine roared to life.

Jack gripped the steering wheel tightly, looked at the factory gate ahead, and pressed the accelerator hard.

The vehicle moved slowly at first, then picked up speed, and finally smashed into the factory's not-so-sturdy buildings.

Boom!

The violent impact caused the gate to collapse, overwhelming a group of rebels fighting outside. Then the vehicle ran them over directly. As for whether any of them survived, only God knows.

After breaking out of the factory building, Jack had a clear view of what was happening outside.

The entire area could be described as a disaster, with roars, screams, and gunfire mixed together. The rebels and the local soldiers fought against each other. Among them, a Jeep with a heavy machine gun fired indiscriminately. Scarlet blood soaked a large area, and death became the only theme here.

Such a chaotic scene reminded Jack of the chaos that occurred months ago, and the situation here was even worse.

But after watching for a moment, he turned the steering wheel and drove toward the exit gate.

The military trucks pushed through the crowd amid flying bullets. Whether they encountered rebels, local troops, or any barriers, they crushed them all, showing no sign of slowing down.

The ruckus caused by the two military trucks naturally drew the attention of everyone in the vicinity.

Seeing the military trucks running over everything, the crowd turned their weapons and started shooting wildly at the two vehicles.

The bullets crackled as they hit the trucks, and several broke the lock. The canvas still on the trucks flew off completely, and the supplies inside began to spill out with the violent jostling of the vehicles.

The trucks sped off quickly, and soon the bullets couldn't reach them. Naturally, neither the rebels nor the local defenses intervened. After all, the situation didn't allow it, so both sides began fighting again.

After passing through the last checkpoint leading to the gate outside the area, Jack looked at the open gate ahead. The expression of joy on his face was evident, and the last trace of worry in his heart completely disappeared.

Although he didn't know why the rebels suddenly attacked this place, he knew there was an absolute disparity in numbers between the rebels and government troops.

Thus, Jack understood that the purpose of the soldiers here was to cut down their enemies and prevent them from taking control.

It could be said that this community was run by the military, so the wolves had issues with the community and wanted to destroy this site and take control somehow.
