Chapter 75 – Life is good

Third person POV

 Later after all that, everything was cleared. At the dining table, Kyo tries to show his changed attitude toward Yuki, but that fails when Yuki calls him a 'stupid cat'. Seeing that Tohru, Emiko, and Masayuki tried to calm his temper down. Shigure and Handa were distraught by it.

 Later at school, Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki are having a good time, while Masayuki, Emiko, Handa, and Souya are in their classroom for first-year students chatting with one another. Masayuki and his younger sister, as well as Handa, didn't want to tell Souya about Kyo's true cat form because it was quite risky to spill the beans of the Sohma zodiac curse.

 Later on, during his one-hour lunch break, Masayuki held a meeting with his fan club. The meeting was short and was just mostly about the month's latest reports of bullying in the school. But the Yuki fan club girls didn't like that at all and hated them.

 And then, after school, Masayuki, Tohru, and the others, alongside Hatsuharu, are walking home when suddenly, Kagura showed up and karate-kicked Kyo in the face, sending him a couple of meters away. Tohru was afraid with shock, while Handa was totally scared and hid behind Masayuki. Souya actually liked it. Masayuki and Emiko were shocked to see Kagura's fury and action towards Kyo.

 "Kagura-chan…"

 "She's so scary…"

But, Souya has something that was hidden under the mask of her identity.

 Later, all of them managed to arrive at Shigure's house, where a feast was waiting for them. Momiji and Ayame are there as well. Yuki was annoyed by his older brother's presence in response. Masayuki, on the other hand, was quite appreciative of Ayame's arrival there while truly understanding Yuki's hatred for him. Shortly thereafter, the feast was on, and as the others were eating, drinking, and chatting the afternoon away, Masayuki took his meal and drink outside and sat on the traditional wooden porch, before eating up his meal.

The sight and sounds of nature gave him a sense of peace at this hour as he embraced his life outside of his family's affairs.

 "Life is good…" his mind said to him in a soft tone.

Despite that, he barely scratched the surface of the knowledge of the Sohma family, as well as the history and hidden, unmentioned facts about his own father and family as well.

Conflicts will rise soon, very soon, and these will challenge his thinking, beliefs, and views on everything.

 But at the same time, at her home in the Sohma estate, Akito was rummaging in a wooden chest box, which contains a lot of letters. Her reason for it is unknown. But more importantly, what are those letters actually?
