Chapter 73 – A true friend for Kyo

 But then, despite Kyo being a scary monster in his true cat form, Tohru didn't want to let him suffer, so she fought to cling on him and to try to calm him down. The rain had poured down the land. Kyo, in his rage, hurts her unintentionally. Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa saw the struggle of Tohru wanting to save him and her determination to do so. Instead of intervening, they decided to stand there and stay behind, and Masayuki began to support Tohru's efforts.

 "You can do it, Tohru-chan," he said in support and cheering for her.

 And then, Tohru managed to do so with encouragement for Kyo, and Kyo, in turn, transformed back into his human form. Kyo then embraced Tohru, causing him to transform into his small cat form. And so, Tohru carried him in her arms in embracing as Kyo slept. Masayuki and the others were stunned to see that it was over now, and the rain was gone.

 The sun took over, giving light in the dark. And then, seeing that it was over, Tohru walked back to the house while carrying Kyo in her arms. Along the way, Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa went to her and asked her if Kyo was okay and if she was okay.

 "Yes, I am okay," answered Tohru back positively.

 "Are you sure about that?" Masayuki asked.

Tohru then nodded, before looking at Kyo.

 "Woah, Kyo-senpai is now calm again as a small cat," Emiko commented as she looked at Kyo.

 "Yes, he is calm now," Tohru said.

 "Um, can I carry him in my arms?" Handa asked.

Tohru then nodded again and handed Kyo to Handa, who then carried him in his arms.

Handa looked at him and let out his positive smile, before saying, "Big brother…"

After that, all of them walked back to Shigure's house.

Kyo didn't know that he was so lucky to have people in his life that are true friends to him.
