Chapter 32 - Masayuki's Cooking Skills

The next day, at Home Economics class, Masayuki, Handa, alongside Emiko and Souya, are cooking some food as their activity. The other students are either doing well or struggling to cook even the most basic foods. But, Masayuki and Emiko are cooking Adobo Chicken with potatoes. Handa and Souya noticed the smell, and they asked them, "What is that?"

"Oh, this Adobo Chicken," Masayuki responded back positively while stirring the stew. "It's one of the Philippines' well-known dishes."

"Wow, that looks delicious," Souya commented. "Can I have some?"

"Sure thing, after this. By the way, how's the rice?"

"Oh, right. It's now done."

Souya then opened the rice cooker, revealing the freshly-steamed rice.

Then, some of the students around them noticed the smell coming from Masayuki's dish, and they went to him, asking, "What in the world was that?"

"This is Adobo chicken," Masayuki replied back positively.

"You said you're a biracial, right?" one of the students asked a question.

"Yes, and this is one of our dishes from the Philippines."

Two of his classmates took a peek at Masayuki's dish was amazed at its looks.

"This looks delicious," they said to him. "Can we have some?"

"Sure thing," Masayuki answered back with a smile, "if it's done."

A few minutes later, Masayuki turned off the stove, grabbed a big bowl and a ladle, and began getting some of the dish and showed it to his classmates.

"Get your plates and utensils and get some," Masayuki said to them, "especially with rice."

His classmates did so, and they took a bite of it, and then, they felt the sourness emanating from the meat to their tongues.

"Wow, it's so sour!" one of them commented in savoring the taste.

"Man, I never eaten such a sour dish before," another commented.

"So, what do you think?" Masayuki asked while smiling at them.

"It's so sour, but very good," one of his classmates responded. "Thanks, Masayuki-kun."

After that, Emiko, Handa, and Souya grabbed some plates and utensils, get some rice and adobo chicken, and try them out. Then, they, except for Emiko, also fell for its taste.

"Man, Masayuki-kun, this is so delicious," Handa commented as he eats fast, "especially the potatoes."

"I never tasted such a delicious dish before," Souya added.

"You're welcome, guys," Masayuki responded.

But, not everyone liked his biracial and multicultural personality. Some of the girls in that class, which is actually the members of the Yuki fan club are suspicious of his suspected rise in popularity, assuming that he will take Yuki's spot as the most popular boy in school. But, will Masayuki notice this, or not? Will he become as popular as Yuki?
