Iclyn

"Don't ride with someone else. I will drive you wherever you want," he muttered.

My eyebrows scrunched in a deep frown.

"Why?" I asked

"Because I have too much petrol in my car," he retorted curtly.

"But I read about the human environment, petrol causes the release of harmful gasses such as carbon dioxide which deteriorate the nature and ozone layer, so human should use public vehicles more to avoid harming the various species and maintain the cycle of biodiversity," I told him.

"What in the-fine! I just shouldn't have said anything," he grumbles.

What's wrong with him?

I didn't say anything further and look out of the window. I started feeling dizzy. I shake my head to get my blurry vision straight.

"Iclyn what happen?" He asked, glancing at me sideways.

"Nothing," I shook my head in denial.

I need to be in a cool place, or I might pass out at some point in time. I want to feel ice, frost, and chill.

He parked the car in the driveway and we climb off.

Walking into our office, I approach my table.

"Where is Aiden? And Austin" I looked at their empty desk.

"Aiden is in the lab, he is expecting you there and Austin is preparing the interrogating room. Leo, Austin wants you there," Owen told us. I walk into the lab and Leo in the interrogation room.

Leo

I push open the huge black door and saunter into the interrogating room. Austin was going through some flies. And the husband of the woman was sitting across him with an irritating look. Just an hour ago he was crying his eyes out and now he seems unbothered.

"Will you be quick? I have somewhere to be?" He said annoyingly.

I rolled my eyes. These rich bastards and their tantrums.

"Do you think we care to where you have to be?" Austin asked not even glancing at him.

"Whatever," he mumbled.

After a couple of minutes, we both sat across the man.

"You must know you are prime suspect of the murder," Austin told him.

"I won't say anything before my lawyer arrives," He said.

Austin looked at me and we had a silent conversation with our eyes.

We have to get him to talk before his lawyer arrives.

I stood and bang my hand in front of him. The man jumps and his eyes magnified, I know others are looking at us through the camera.

"Speak before I make you speak," I grimaced at him.

"I am filing a lawsuit against you and that girl, you have no sense to speak to the citizen," he spat.

"This is how we treat the criminal," Austin said nonchalantly.

"I am not a criminal," he yelled.

"You are," I calmly said.

The man look at me and pushed me hard.

What the-

"You have no manners to speak to elder! Don't blame me without any proof!" He yelled waving his hand frantically.

I was about to strangle him when the door burst open and she walks in.

"We have 5 mins to make him confess, move," she said sternly and walk over to us.

"You can't do-

"Austin his lawyer is already walking into the lift," she said.

"Yeah okay," she speaks in the blue tooth.

"Hey, now sit quietly," she told the man with her chilling voice. The man visibly shuddered but didn't make any move to sit. Iclyn grasps his shoulder and pushes him down on the chair. He was forced to sit with a loud screech of the chair.

"What the-

"Shut up," she calmly says sitting on the desk. She leans closer to his face with her hand on his shoulder.

Something inside me burns.

I have no idea why and what I was feeling, but I didn't like it.

I ball my hand in a fist trying to not rip the man away from him. He is young around his 30 or something.

The man suddenly becomes expressionless. She smiles in satisfaction and glides off the desk.

"Ask him anything he will answer," she smiled.

Austin gives her a puzzled look but nods. She stands beside me and I unknowingly step closer to her.

"Did you kill your wife?" Austin asked.

The man was silent.

I sigh, he won't say.

"Yes. I killed her."

My eyes enlarged, Austin and I exchange bewildered looks.

"Okay," Iclyn whispered in blue tooth.

"Is he coming?" I whisper near her ear. She turns to look at me, then I realized how close we are standing. Her left arm was pressed against my chest and my face was inches away from her. Her blue eyes widen, her long eyelashes move slightly and heat crept to my cheeks. Austin clears his throat and we snap out of our little bubble.

"Shit he is here!" Iclyn whispered. She looks at the door and automatically the door locks. I gape at her and she winks, we high-five each other.

There was a loud bang on the door.

"Why did you kill her? Where is the weapon?" Austin asked hurriedly

"Open this door at an instance!" The lawyer yelled from the other side.

"I kill her because she was having an affair with my assistant. I kill her with a knife and threw it near the sewage," he admits without blinking his eyes.

"Fuck yes! We got the confession!" Austin stood in satisfaction and his gummy smile stretch on his face.

Iclyn stares at the door and it gets unlocked. I must get used to her little magics. The door burst open and an extremely furious man in a crisp black suit walks in.

"Why the door was lock?!" He yelled

"Oh, it was?" Austin asked innocently.

I try to suppress my smile.

"Yes!" He snapped.

"The door must be jam. We should renovate our office shouldn't we hyung?" I asked cheekily.

"We definitely should," he smiles.

"Oh, by the way, your client just confessed," Iclyn said.

"Wh-what?! That's impossible!" The lawyer runs his hand frustrated through his hair.

"Oh please I can make everything possible," she rolled her eyes and snapped her finger, the criminal jolts up as if he woke up from a nightmare.

He blinks in confusion.

"Oh, my lawyer is here! Now I can go right?" He asked with a smug smile.

"You confessed to killing your wife. You are under arrest for the charge of murdering your wife," I said walking over him and taking his hand.

"Wh-what! I didn't!" He yelled jumping away from me.

"There is a recording, you can check," Austin told his lawyer, who just nodded in disappointment.

He was moving so damn much not letting me cuff his hands. Then he froze.

"Why can't I move?" His eyes widened.

I look at Iclyn who winks at me before walking out of the door.

I smile and cuffed his hand, then his body loosens.

She and I make a great pair.

In solving cases I meant!!

After a long day, we sat in our office just doing whatever we want.

"I can't believe we solved the case in three hours," Owen smiles.

"It's because of her," Ian said and swings her arm around her shoulder. They both were on the couch playing games for an hour or two.

"What you did to him anyway? He looked so shook," Austin chuckles.

"I just put the truth spell on him," she shrugs.

"Wow, it means you can put that spells on us as well?" Aiden asks her curiously.

"Yes, I can hypnotize you with my eyes. I can even freeze you with my eyes except for Leo," her eyes flicker to mine and I tilt my head.

"Your powers don't work on him?" Logan ask.

She shook her head saying no.

"Why?" I asked.

"You tell me. I am here to know the same," she looks at me and again I found myself drowning in her eyes.

I might as well die, drowning.
