143 Issue #3

(There were a few comments about the nerfs and Jack being much stronger than them. Let me just explain the difference between an Asgardian and Olympian.

Asgardians on the level of Thor, can be counted on one hand, maybe 2 depending on writer. They are also better warriors in general. I honestly think of most Asgardians as demi-gods compared to others gods. The most powerful 'Asgardians' are Thor, Odin, Hela, Amora, and Loki. 2 of them aren't even real Asgardians. And half of them are that way because of magic.

Olympians are more numerous. Like literally have over 50 people around Thor's level at their peak. They have the same phsyical strength as an Asgardian as long as they are not out of shape. They are closer to real gods in my opinion because they have access to divine magic which lets them pretty much do a lot of the godly stuff they do in mythology. They also have access to Adamantine which does all the shit I listed in the previous chapter.

This is why it is not a nerf. The Olympians are just the worst matchup for Jack to have when fighting more than one.

Zeus summoned several mini clouds that fired bolts of lightning where Jack was about to go. If not for his new quick reactions, he would have been struck and lost the first move.

Jack backed up a few meters before wiping off the imaginary cold sweat on his head.

"You guys can't even let me finish my first move?"

"Come quietly. Or come loudly. Either way, you're going to come with us," Apollo teased while looking Jack's body up and down lecherously.

Jack felt a shiver go up and down his spine when he remembered something very important about all the male gods of the Greek Pantheon. They were bisexual sexual deviants.

"Yeah... fuck that!"

Jack created over thirty ice spears around his body. Before firing them, he used his super-speed to run in front of Zeus. He then summoned an orb to fire a [Ruin Beam] into the Skyfather's face.

The ice spears were nothing more than a distraction. He learned from Hermes about using his super-speed against someone that might have a chance of responding to it.

As Jack neared him, he noticed something when looking into Zeus's eyes. Before he could react, Zeus hit him with his spear and sent Jack flying through several walls of the ship.

Jack got up from the rubble and looked at Zeus as if he was looking at a monster.

"Time Dilation Field. No matter how fast you are capable of moving, I will keep you on the same playing field as us. It would be no fun if I made you slower. The things a god such as myself is capable of surpasses the mind of a mere mortal like you."

Jack felt like going over and breaking open Zeus's head but knew that the chances of him accomplishing that at the moment were zero.

'Since super-speed does not work, let's move onto teleporting.'

Jack tried to teleport back to Jotunheim but ended up teleporting right in front of Zeus where an electric palm was brought down onto his head, sending him through several floors of the ships.

"Tsk. Do you think you can escape that easily? Who decided that?"

Jack was on the lower level of the ship and felt like vomiting blood in frustration. Zeus's magic was on a higher level than anyone that he had personally faced before. Even compared to the Cabal which was made of several powerful magic users, he was on an entirely different level.

'We should probably call ourselves the Coven. We are all magic users after...'

Artemis and Apollo teleported in front of Jack before he could with their bows drawn. Artemis had a silver bow while Apollo had a golden with, both with matching arrows notched.

The duo fired their arrows, piercing through his body and dragging him outside of the ship. Jack had tried to make himself intangible but still felt the arrows cutting through his skin.

When he flew outside of the ship, Hera was waiting for him with a blast of magical energy that sent Jack flying off in a different direction.

There, Athena rushed into him with Aegis, her magical shield. But the goddess did not just before a simple shield bash. She activated Aegis's hidden power which created an entire world as a barrier, So Jack was not hit with a very powerful shield but felt the force of an entire planet bash into him.

He was sent crashing into the planet below them without. Jack felt all the bones of his body repairing themselves quickly but he could not help but complain silently.

'This is the first time I've gotten my super suit destroyed. Why couldn't they just kill me in a single move?'

Zeus was in the sky above, looking down on Jack. In his hand was the legendary Thunderbolt of Zeus, a spear that had a zig-zag blade that helped Zeus control natural lightning.

Lifting the spear above his head, Zeus filled it with divine energy and lightning before throwing it down towards Jack.

The latter hurried to dodge the bolt but with the limitations that Zeus placed on him, he couldn't move at his fastest. The spear managed to rip off one of his arms before causing a nuclear-sized explosion that sent Jack flying for miles.

When he landed, Jack felt the injuries in his body and wanted to curse again.

'Seriously? If I didn't have regeneration, how was I supposed to be your new blacksmith with only one arm?'

Jack slowly got up and looked around. Almost all life around him had been wiped out due to the attack that Zeus had just launched. He could even feel the ground beneath him drifting apart.

"He split the planet, didn't he?"

Jack looked around and saw the thing he was looking for. An alien cockroach. Creating a small knife of ice, Jack shot it at the cockroach, killing it instantly.

Thanks to that, he was brought to the Dark Space where he was allowed a breather. When Jack entered, he sat on the ground to catch his breath and think of a plan.

'So my current powerset is not going to cut it because Zeus likes to take away advantages that I have. And I'm pretty sure they will not give me enough time to kill Ymir. So guess that means I need to thank Troy for giving me a few new toys to mix with.'

- (Fusion) (Inhuman/X-Gene Hybrid) Draconic Titan Shifter: The user is able to instantly shift between Titan and human forms. The user has access to the Beastial Dragon and Armored Dragon Titans.

-- Beastial Dragon Titan: The user takes on the appearance of a giant drake. The user had a large amount of speed and strength for one of its size and is 15 meters tall while being 40 meters from head to tail.

-- Armored Draconic Titan: The user takes on the appearance of a bipedal draconic titan that is 25 meters tall with armored plated scales. The user excels at defense. The user also has the ability to add crystals on top of their armored plating for increased protection and offensive abilities.

- (Fusion) (X-Gene/Inhuman Hybrid) Abyssal Magic (Master): The user has access to unique magic that escapes the norms of typical magic. It follows unique rules and laws, and even interacts with normal magic in a different way than other magic. This magic forever cuts the user off from accessing other types of magic not innate to them.

- (Fusion) (Mutate) Demi-Cellular Division: The user can split, much like a cell, into physical organic clones. This causes all clones to lack an autonomous intelligence, instead of being a unit in a collective hivemind, each clone being just one part of a unified consciousness

'Thank you, Troy. Now we can start having some fun with these gods. Ever since I was in Limbo, I haven't had an encounter like this where my life was truly on the line. I missed this feeling.'

Jack picked a random power from the cockroach before leaving the Dark Place.

Jack came out of the Dark Place without a moment passing but the 5 gods in the space above him could feel the change in Jack. It was as if he had been corrupted by a malevolent force.

It was no longer 5 cats toying around with a mouse. They had toyed with him for too long. This was a competition between two predators.
