"Where Did You Get This?"
A delivery?
Cynthia got up from the bed and opened the door. The help handed her the package with a respectful bow. "This package was left at the front of Quinn Mansion. The butler saw your name on it and had it brought inside."
Cynthia took the package and felt its light weight without giving away any reaction.
"Alright, I understand," she said, turning back into her room with the package.
She shook it slightly, then used a letter opener to tear it open. Inside was a palm-sized wooden box.
Inside the box was a glass bottle filled with a pale blue liquid. Beneath the bottle was a pink card with a note: "Use the silver acupuncture needles to dip into the medicine, and inject it into the fixed acupoints to suppress the condition."
The handwriting on the card was the same as that on the anonymous bouquet she received at the office, indicating that both items came from the same person.
