In the living room, Lorraine secretly observed the old lady's expression. After assisting her with the medication, she anxiously began to complain. She vividly described how Tristan had threatened her and how he had humiliated her, his own aunt, in front of others.
"Mother, you must speak up for me." Lorraine looked at Old Mrs. Ford with a face full of grievance. "Tristan has lost his mind. He dared to treat me like this for a woman. What confused things might he do for that woman in the future!"
"Tristan's current situation is the result of your gradual pushing." Old Mrs. Ford lifted her eyelids, giving her a meaningful glance. "Whether it's you or others, you deserve what you're getting."
Lorraine's eyes flickered slightly, her expression unchanged. She still looked like a child wronged. "Mother, you don't believe me?"
