Prologue

"The era of gods is no more." I stated. I looked at the goddess before me and declared once more.

"The era of us, the divinities, have no more hopes for salvation."

The goddess, Nah'kia maintained silence as she found no words to refute my statement. And it was true, the Divine Realm of Creation had started to crumble. As the war raged on, the different rampaging divine forces, including ones that belong to those who had already passed, whittled away the power of Order that maintained the Divine Realm.

"Then? What will you do?" She asked. It had seemed she is seeking guidance. However...

"Nothing." I stated. The situation has become irredeemable. Even if the war stops this instant, it would only delay the inevitable. Perhaps it would give us a few million years to a hundred more million, but in the end, it would make no difference. Thus...

"I will not do anything. There is nothing I can do, and there is no method to resuscitate the Divine Realm." And that is it.

The goddess before me took silence once again, and a few moments later, she conveyed.

"That is unlike you. To do nothing when disaster nears itself, that goes against your divinity." Her feelings of worry were transmitted in her voice. However, she was mistaken.

"I stated not to do anything regarding the Divine Realm, but I did not convey any intent of abandonment towards the other divinities." I conveyed my intent as I turned my attention towards the goddess.

"I see." I could not see what was in her mind. But it seemed she understood something.

"Nah'kia." I called out to her.

"Can you see it, my divine destiny?" I asked her directly in her true presence.

Calling out to a divinity through their true name summons their divine presence. It holds true to all who bears language and intelligence, and when a divinity calls out to another divinity directly through true names, it summons and connects their mind into their true presence.

And thus I called into her, Nah'kia, a Goddess of Fate and Death to reduce the strain when using her divine authority. Only a Divine Authority could affect a divinity, hence using Divine Authority that predicts a divinity's destiny incurs tremendous strain upon their true presence.

At this moment, all I could do was synchronize my true presence with hers as we shared the strain she suffered in using her Divine Authority with me.

"I see it." She conveyed with weakness in her voice.

She then continued. "You will 'die' protecting an important place that holds all you endear."

I smiled. It was enough for me. I need not more as I can die with satisfaction. As a God of Victory and Heroism, is there any better way to fulfil my divinity as I am to bring 'Victory' to all I hold dear, and die 'Heroically' fighting for a cause.

"I see. That is quite a good destiny indeed." I stated.

"You also have the choice of not going down that perilous path." Nah'kia conveyed. I gently shook my head.

"That goes against my divinity too, does it not? And even if it would allow me to save more lives in the future, it is meaningless if I forsake the walkers of the current era." I conveyed to her.

"Shall we go now? Nah'kia." I asked.

"As you wish, Vaskill." She accepted.

And so, I walk as I make my way through the path of bloodshed and opposing the chaotic flow the war of divinities.
