Chapter 2 : Awaiting......
I woke up when I heard a notification. By rubbing my eyes I looked through the phone to see that the notification was about the audition results. I was so happy that I jumped out of bed screaming happily. And me getting so excited to be part of the band and to see her. I ran to the college as soon as I saw the message but deep down me being so anxious about her acceptance. Though I didn't know her name, department or anything else, I was so eager to meet her again.
Upon entering the College, I was called to practice as the ITAN program was just around the corner. Within a few minutes, I reached my destination after running through the hallways excitedly. My eyes were searching for her as I entered the band room without my consent. But she was not among the members.
"Hey guys please be seated " the leader said as she entered the room.
" Guys today I would like to introduce you to our most recent members. Alen can you please step up and introduce yourself to the team " I stood up and introduced myself as my eyes searched something throughout the room.
"As you know, he is the substitute lead guitarist, and our singer will be a little late due to a personal matter, so I will introduce her in the next practice section." Niya told to everyone.
Niya gave me their music notes for practice soon after the practice started.
"And Alen give me your number so I can add you to the chat group" Niya asked while I warmed up for practice. In hopes of meeting my mellifluous again, I gave my phone number.
Sudden I heard a small sound calling my name I turned around to see a girl smiling brightly " Hi Alen I am Lilly the rhythm guitarist of the band we have to work together I am very strict about the practice." She sited with a smirk on her face. "Come man let me introduce you to our fellow members" She grabbed my hands and walked towards other members "Alen this is our vice captain and drummer Thomas and this is our song writer Luther and the singer Leo. And another, she's the same as you but as a lead singer. So that's it we can continue with our work".
Time passed noon and I left the room for my next class. I entered the class and saw my friends Justin and Sam reserved a seat for me in the back. I sat there and took the books where the sir arrived and started to teach. I couldn't concentrate because I was so confused and anxious about the mysterious girl. I couldn't tell whether she was the one Lilly mentioned or whether I would ever be able to see her or hear her song again which astonished my mind.
As soon as the bell rang, I grabbed my phone and saw the chat group pop up. As I opened the chat box to see many numbers other than the band's members, I decided to call each number hoping one would be her.
I dialed the first number and a girl picked up " Is this Alen?"
"Ye...ss.. Is this Lilly "
" Ya, why did you call me?"
" Oh I think I dialed the wrong number. I wanted to call Niya for resolving some doubts about the music notes she handed me this morning. Can you give me her number please?
"Of course." She handed Niya's card, eliminating two numbers. Dialed another number belonging to Thomas. I repeated the same and that's it I was soo done and just backed off before finishing the task of finding my mysterious girl. But her song kept playing in my ears. Therefore, I finally dialed the next number deciding i would stop if this is the wrong one and to back off for once and for all .
The call got picked up and a sweet hello was heard from behind me. I turned to see a girl picking the phone in one hand and books in the other and turned towards me.
"Found you" .
