Chapter 2: The Surviving Party

deep in the forest three figures where running away, all of them badly injured and in need of medical attention. It was a Female Mage with dark hair, a female archer with blonde hair and a werewolf

"I can't keep going girls...im too injured to run" said the werewolf as he collapsed on the ground

"we can't stop now...the Minotaurs might still be after us" the Mage exclaimed as she ran up to the werewolf trying to help him stand up

"it was a bad idea to take such a high-level quest...Minotaurs where too strong for us" the archer said as she too collapsed to the ground

"come on you two...we need to hurry" the Mage said as she was trying to not collapse herself

"sorry boss, but with our injuries I'm not sure we can move an inch" the werewolf said

then after a long pause the Mage too collapsed to the floor, exhausted and trying to catch her breath as suddenly the archer noticed something

"hey...is that tree....falling on us?" the archer said with a terrified face as she saw a tree beginning to collapse on top of them as they all watch helplessly until...

The tree gets cut into small wooden pieces as they fall down all around the trio and Michael appears near the wooden pieces

"what- what just happened?" asked the werewolf...trying to understand what just happened

"we...where saved by a....a lumberjack?" exclaimed the Mage as she looked in surprise at Michael who started casually picking up the wooden pieces

"how did he- that was insanely fast" said the werewolf as he watched Michael pick up the wood

Before the trio could say anything else Michael finishes picking up wood and starts walking away

"w-wait! don't leave us here lumberjack! we need your aid!" archer said but it was too late as Michael was already gone

".....he appeared out of nowhere and disappeared....maybe he's a ghost" werewolf said as he started slowly getting up with blood dripping from his wounds

"....he's not a ghost....that was a casual lumberjack....well not that casual really, he cut down that tree that was collapsing on us in less then a second" said the Mage who also tried to stand up

A few minutes passed by as the party managed to get up and slowly continued walking for a few minutes until they saw a house in the middle of the woods, all of them looked at the house happily as they headed towards it.

upon arriving near the house they saw Michael placing the wood he gathered in a perfect pile near his house

"oi! its that lumberjack again!" shouted the werewolf as it caught the attention of Michael

"oh....it's you lot.....what do you need?" Michael asked them, not even bothering to look at them

"we need medical attention immediately, please" begged the archer as she trembled with blood dripping all around the place

"alright.....fine.....go inside....I'll aid you....but you'll leave shortly after" Michael said as he continued sorting out the wooden pieces while gesturing for the party to go inside the house

The three listened to Michael and got inside as they all say down on his bed

"I don't think we should sit on his bed like that...blood is hard to wash off" said the Mage as she tried to get up

"it's alright" said Michael who just walked into the house as he brought a first-aid kit with him

"o-oh, you're quick" said the Mage as she was surprised by the sudden appearance of michael

Without saying a word more Michael started bandaging the three as they sat there silently not letting out a single sound despite being in a world of pain until a few minutes later michael was finally done treating them

"thank you very much kind lumberjack, we shall repay you once we had healed up a little" mage said bowing her head slightly

"no need....now rest for a little....then I'll lead you to a village nearby....there you can get treated properly" Michael said while walking away

The Mage wanted to say something but michael had already left so she layed down with her comrades and soon after fell asleep.

A few hours passed by as the werewolf was woken up by Michael who stood by his bed patiently...waiting for the werewolf to finally wake up

"you three need to leave now....I'll show you where the village is" Michael said while looking at him

"can't we stay a lil longer?" asked the werewolf as he attempted to fall asleep again

"don't make me drag you....i said you will leave shortly after and its been a few hours" said Michael as he glared at the werewolf with hss red eyes making him look like a demon

Upon hearing his words and seeing his face werewolf almost jumped up, remembering how easily Michael cut down that tree that was collapsing on them and seeing how angry he is right now.

"s-sorry...we will leave now!" the werewolf picked up his two half-sleeping party members and walked out of the house before bowing down a few times to Michael "thank you! we shall find the village ourselves...you have a nice day!" he said while basically running away

"what a weird party...." Michael said as he watched the werewolf run away before going back and cleaning his bed

After a few moments a terrified werewolf reached the village and quickly found the infirmary as he walked in and got himself and his comrades properly treated and put to bed.

"damn that guy is scary as hell....if I didn't listen to him he woulda probably killed me" the werewolf said as he closed his eyes and tried to calm down...before long he fell asleep again, this time for a little longer then before...
