Is my sister dead or alive

[Outskirts of Singapore]

Hades arrived at his father's villa and went inside. 

It has been years since the last time he set foot in the villa.

He went up to his father's study room and knocked.

"Enter."

Harvey looked up and saw the beaten face of his son and he was wearing a sling on his left arm.

"What happened to you?"

"Uhmm…well I got caught by the thorns of a rose."

"Well good for you, maybe now you understand why I told you not to harm Black Rose."

"Well she is a though girl, that's for sure."

"What do you expect from a boxer and a taekwondo black belt 2nd Dan. Not to mention Loki and Jack also trained her for a few months."

"Jack also informed me she is an excellent shooter both in pistol and sniping."

Hades eyes went big of shock.

"Then I should be grateful she didn't pull a pistol on me."

"Your indeed lucky."

"Well I did apologize to her the next day."

"Dad is it true my little sister disappeared after birth and you declared her dead after a few years?"

"Who told you that?"

"Black Jack did."

Harvey sighed "It's true."

"Could you tell me why she disappeared, Black Jack told me it's because of grandpa, and grandpa also said that if I ever had children I should keep the son but get rid of the daughter."

"I always found it weird he would say that to me, but when he told me I had an adoptive sister his behavior changed drastically."

"He said he was only sending out these attempts to test her, but somewhere deep down I knew it wasn't only because of that."

"I have to admit, my former adoptive sister is smart, cunning and very successful, while I do envy her capabilities, I also know why you wanted her to be the next head of the family, and to be honest, if Black Jack hadn't forced me to open my eyes, I probably would still be blinded by grandpa."

"And what will you do if I tell you why your grandfather is like that?"

"I'll help Black Rose, my former adoptive sister to take down grandpa, because she never asked for this in the first place."

"And having her as a little sister isn't the worst thing in the world to me, even if she becomes the new head of the family I want to support her and protect her because she is family, adopted or not."

Harvey handed a file he got from Jemisha a few weeks back.

"Your former adoptive sister, was also curious why her former grandfather acts like that so she start digging and found this."

"It seems your grandfather was jealous of his own sister, who became the new head of the family, she was just like your former adoptive sister, smart, cunning and very successful."

"He couldn't handle the fact that even women were capable and so he had her assassinated by the Serale family."

"But it didn't end there… every women that married a man of this family had a very uncertain future. If they produced a daughter they got killed, if they produce a son they would be spared, but this didn't sit well with the family, so the women who would marry a man from the family, had to discard of their daughters, meaning they had to kill their own child and try again."

"Your mom got in a similar position with your sister, so she took her and ran away with your sister, but your grandfather found out what she was up to, so in order to save your sister she pleaded at her brother to help her and told him were your sister would be at and pick her up. And your mother would stage her death later when your sister would be old enough."

Hades didn't know how to react.

"This… all because grandpa couldn't handle the fact that women could be more successful than man."

'So Hades if your sister is indeed alive, will you rat me and your sister out to your grandfather?'

Jessica came in to the room.

"Mom!!"

"Of course not, I want to find my little sister and bring her back home."

'Why?, so your grandfather can kill her when he finds out.'

"No mom, I will bring her back only when grandpa has kicked the bucket."

"And it won't be long anyway, because Black Rose is hell bound on taking him down."

Harvey looked at Hades. "Did you perhaps made a deal with Black Rose?"

"I did, I asked her to help me find my sister and I would be her eyes and ears on grandpa's activities."

"Black Rose told me she need my sisters date of birth and her name, the rest she could figure out on her own."

"Well since she was able to dig up the truth about your grandfathers past and the incident happened over 50 years ago, finding your sister won't be that much of a challenge for her."

'Hades, please promise me when you find your sister, keep her save from that maniac.'

"Don't worry mom, she is my sister and family should protect each other not kill each other."

Jessica gave him a hug and gave him a sample of both her and Harvey's DNA.

'When Black Rose finds her she can use this to confirm the person she found is indeed your sister.'

'As for the date of birth, it's the same as hers and the name is Jemisha Argenti.'

Hades looked at his parent "You two really have a strange tasted in naming your children."

'How rude, although your name is commonly revered to the Greek god of the underworld, the meaning is actually invisible or unseen, and your father named your sister Jemisha meaning monarch of the night or queen of the darkness.'

"Alright mom I won't complain about my name, I will use the meaning of my name and make sure that my actual motives will be invisible to grandpa, I will bring back our little princess of darkness."

Hades gave his mother a hug, "Don't worry mom, I'll bring her home."

'I'm counting on you.'

'By the way Hades did you have a fight with someone?'

"I have been beaten by a girl…"

'Who was it?'

"Black Rose…but I deserved it in the end, and I already apologized to her."

'Than that's good, do not underestimate a women, some of us can be very strong although we don't look it.'

"I know mom, because it takes a lot of strength for what you did in order to keep my sister alive."

Hades left the room and texted Jemisha the information she needed and send over a set of DNA samples he got from his father and mother so she could verify once she found his sister.

"Is this really the right way Jessica?"

'Well she is already suspicious about you and Blake is the same.'

'I think finding out on her own is better than telling her I guess, but she probably already noticed that my brother is not her real father and I already told him she was suspicious about it he could tell her the truth, well at least that he is not her father but her uncle.'

"And since Hades is as clueless as her about being sibling, I don't think she would beat him up."

'Well that's true, but I'm afraid she will kill her grandfather out of sheer rage because not only did he tried to kill her many times over, he is also the cause of me faking my death and have to hide from the world.'

"Don't worry, nobody in the family will ridicule Jemisha for doing that, they probably will thank her for freeing them from this endless cycle of hiding their children."
