　　Derek’s POV

　　I had a feeling that Erika was near me when I was having a meeting tonight. I just ignored it because I eagerly wanted to know their progress.

　　I hired several experts on poison and asked them to find if there was any clue in Baron's house. Tonight, they reported to me their progress. I sat through a long meeting and the final conclusion was that they didn't find many useful clues in Baron's house.

　　What they found in Baron's house confirmed that Baron didn't lie to me before he died. But Baron had destroyed almost all the clues related to the cure.

　　I was in low spirits tonight.

　　When I came back, Erika was sleeping. I lay beside her and turned to her.

　　I kissed her on her forehead, propped myself on my elbow, and looked at her.
