25 Arrival at the Nine Peaks

As the two of them headed back home separately, Ye Qin spent his time thinking by himself. That night when he came home, Ye Qin gave his sister the candy he had bought and placed the candy canes on the table in the living room before heading to his room and took a shower

For the next week or so, Ye Qin spent some time with his family. After the new year began, it was time for Ye Qin to head for the Nine Peak Academy. Now that he was in university, Ye Qin no longer wears his uniform. He left it hanging on the wall of his room after it had been cleaned and packed up his belongings which he threw into the storage space of his smartwatch

Standing at the front door of his house, Ye Qin hugged his family one by one as Wang Tao who had already arrived waited with the Ye families' chauffeur. "Father, Mother, your son will be back. Until then, I hope that you will be well when I come back. You too sis." he said

Ye Qin finally turned around and walked towards the car and sat down next to Wang Tao as the engine started and they drove off

"Your family sure treasures you, boss." Wang Tao laughed "Of course, they are my parents after all. Besides your family loves you too." Ye Qin replied

"Well I'm sure my mother does, as for my father and sister… maybe? Well after we came back, the old man told me that I didn't need to inherit his company and instead my elder sister will, hehehehe" Wang Tao continued

"The company huh, my sister is too young to inherit it, besides I'm sure she wants to become a trainer too. Not sure what my father will do with the company since both his successors are being trainers." Ye Qin said

"Ah, that's right… Maybe I can ask my father to join the two companies or something?" Wang Tao replied

"Well maybe, they are best friends after all, it might work if your sister takes over as the head of both." Ye Qin said

"Right, we should contact Liu Kai. When we enter the Forbidden Lands again we will need his service." Ye Qin continued

"Liu Kai??? Oh you mean the weird four eyes with a 3 year old? Right we do, we have invested in him quite a bit." Wang Tao nodded

"Well let me send him a message." Ye Qin said

Arriving at the airport, the two brothers said goodbye to the chauffeur before heading inside. Since there was still some time before departure, the two went around as the fatty bought snacks for the journey. After buying various things, the two showed their passports and tickets before heading into the first class area

When the plane took off, the two enjoyed their time in the first class area. Wang Tao either ate snacks or played games whilst Ye Qin checked the news on his smartwatch before joining Wang Tao in a game that is provided in the plane

The advanced technology built in on the plane allowed for anyone to do anything they wanted in a virtual space. The two brothers played a game in a virtual mmorpg that had elements of fantasy novels and games of the past. In the virtual world, time was over 5 times slower which allowed for longer time spent in the virtual space!

Ye Qin chose to become a warrior class whilst Wang Tao chose a tank class to complement the former. The two formed a party in the beginning area and farmed until they reached level 10 and had decent equipment. After completing every quest possible including the hidden quests that not many people knew about, the two left the town and headed towards a forest that lead to the next town

On the way to the next town, the two brothers encountered monsters such as goblins that were about the same level as them. Goblins came in small groups which the two quickly eliminated before a large swarm of them arrived surrounding the two. The two brothers faced each other and nodded as Ye Qin who used a warrior with duel swords charged through the crowd using his skills

Wang Tao used his taunt skill to draw all the attention to himself and took the hits using his massive hp pool and high defence that belonged to the tank class. Slamming into his shield with his mace, Wang Tao tore through the bodies of the goblins as they cried whilst Ye Qin using his high attack and speed which he put his stat points into cut down the goblins

Not only did Wang Tao have high defence and could deal damage, he could even use a healing skill that healed some hp making him almost invincible against all attacks. Ye Qin's duel swords had a variety of aoe attacks that enabled him to kill groups of goblins at the same time

With his fast reflexes, Ye Qin did insane 10 hit combos on ground and in the air using the hilt of his swords so that they wouldn't die instantly. After killing all the goblins, the two leveled up a few levels as they looted the goblins and continued heading to the next town

Finally when they arrived at the next town, they logged off as the plane should be arriving at their destination

Leaving the plane, the two brothers found a nearby bathroom and took a quick p*ss then washed their hands and left the airport. Since they had never been in New Beijing before, the two looked around for a bit before they called a cab that drove near the gates of the Nine Peak Academy

During the journey, the driver asked "You two are new students? It must be your first time in New Beijing then."

Ye Qin nodded and replied "That's right, we came from New Jiangnan city, I just recently looked at a guide on places to go. Do you have any personal recommendations?"

"Hmm, well there's not much difference to New Jiangnan. The capital's mainly just bigger whilst the major families here are even bigger than the ones back in Jiangnan. Some places to go might be the Daotu Temple where a huge statue of an immortal is standing or the Beijing Colosseum." the driver recommended

"I see those two huh, we should visit some time." Ye Qin noted

Once the two arrived near the entrance of the academy, they paid the driver who gave them his card. Walking up to the gate with guards stationed around it, Ye Qin showed them his ID and so did Wang Tao

"New students huh, welcome to the Nine Peak Academy. I hope you enjoy your time here and become one of the leading figures in the future!" one of them said as the two waited for the gate to open

The two brothers nodded as they watched the huge gate open slowly as they walked along behind the guard who kept a good pace as if he had done this a million times. On the other side of the gate, a portal that looked similar to the ones they had entered to arrive at the Forbidden Lands. Placing their ID's into the machines and then taking them out, the two entered the transportation portals

Whoosh* Whoosh*

When they arrived and exited the transportation portals, the two placed their ID's once again to get to the other side of the portals. Looking around, they saw many other students who were talking away or sitting down on their smartwatch. The two continued walking straight across the large hallway as they began to see the outside of the hall where they walked

A majestic sight unfolded before them as nine huge peaks all with different sizes stood proudly across from them. Each of the nine peaks were different in color and also had a different design, on the surface of each peak, a different symbol was engraved using an unknown means

Naturally the two couldn't see through to the other side of the peaks. As for the main campus located in the middle of all nine peaks, the sight was just as grand as each of the nine peaks. A huge golden building that expanded over a couple kilometers in size with what seemed to resemble clouds to be floating in the air above it

There are also engravings of nine humans engraved at the center of the building just above the main door. Wang Tao guessed that they were the nine founders of the academy

The two brothers then looked at each of the nine peaks in an orderly fashion. One of the peaks that was orange in color had the symbol of a hammer and anvil, another peak that is green uses the symbol of a herb. "Oh? So this is the Blacksmith's Peak of the Nine Peak Academy. I did some research and saw that the academy is the world's leading figure in the development of tools for humans." Ye Qin thought

The Nine Peak Academies Blacksmith Peak is renowned throughout the world as the number 1 figure in the development of tools and weaponry. Overtime, humanity's numbers lessened during the old era which led to the development of weaponry for humans to utilise and protect themselves as their monsters fought

Afterall monsters have high intelligence, whilst your monster may be fighting the monsters won't just fight it out one by one. Obviously they will target the master and once the master is dead, the monster is sent back into the other plane and their whereabouts will be unknown

Even then the development hasn't made much progress even after a couple centuries. Even the strongest of weapons can only kill the monsters that aren't too strong, as for the stronger ones it won't even put a scratch on them. The trainer would just be slapped to death like a fly being swatted

Before preparing to head to the academy, Ye Qin already decided on the peak that he would join. Naturally a test would be taken before being able to officially join the association, even with extensive research, not much information was disclosed to the public on the content of the test. Some previous students who had graduated disclosed that the tests change each year making it a bit more difficult to prepare for

As for Wang Tao, Ye Qin didn't bother asking which peak he would join since he knew the former would be able to join any of the nine peaks as long as he wanted to put in some effort. The two walked forward as they stepped past a barrier that was invisible to the naked eye, when they made it past the barrier, the sight of the Nine Peak Academy looked even grander than before!

It was as if the barrier was to conceal the majestic might of the Nine Peak Academy from the eyes of the world even though only students could enter in the first place! The imposing might of the buildings sitting atop the nine peaks gave off an immense pressure as if they were actually alive!

When the two brothers brushed by some students and looked around once more, they found a sign that read 'For new students to follow'. The two followed that first sign which eventually lead to another sign which then lead to another sign. After walking past a dozen or so signs in which some were hidden, the two finally made it to the designated area

"A top university sure does things differently, making us go through all of those signs just for their amusement.." Wang Tao said

Ye Qin nodded as they approached a large hallway that was filled with lines of students their age. Looking around the ratio of males and females were quite even in fact there were actually a few more females than males!

Looking at their ID's they lined up in their class according to the information provided. Since not much information was disclosed to the public, the two had no idea what the stars on their ID meant and neither did what the symbol next to the stars meant either. Hence, they had assumed that everyone had them but would soon find out that they were so wrong

Standing in line with one behind the other, the two continued looking around to familiarise themselves with their new fellow students. Suddenly, a high pitched voice called out to the two "Hello there."

Turning around, Ye Qin and Wang Tao saw a girl who could be said to be quite pretty. With long slender legs and smooth skin from her legs up to her face along with a thin and tall nose bridge and rosy lips, there was nothing to complain about. That wasn't the end of it, the girl who approached them was over a head shorter than them and everytime she moved, her HUGE assets bounced endlessly making it hard for them to keep staring at her face

Cough*

Ye Qin pretended to cough and put his hand forward for a handshake, which the girl naturally shook hands with him and Wang Tao followed suit. The girl introduced herself "Hello, my name is Su Guiying."

"Ye Qin." Ye Qin also introduced himself

"Oh I'm Wang Tao." the fatty added

Su Guiying nodded, just as she was about to say some more things, another female voice called out to her "Guiying, let's go.". Naturally the two boys turned towards the direction of the voice to see a girl with looks that were even above Su Guiying's, the only thing was that she resembled a washboard causing Wang Tao to sigh regretfully for her

Su Guiying waved the two goodbye as she lined up with her friend behind them by a few spaces as the lights suddenly turned dim and a drumroll background music played loudly
