Chapter 8 - Endless Rainbows

My rainbow aura surged across my body, and all the while. Iradon stared at me with wide eyes and his mouth open with equal shock. "This...this power...it's impossible! What the fuck is this!" Iradon screamed with what felt like fear. "This...this is the result of my training. And my refusal to give up, what's the matter demon? You've never seen someone use every type of magic all at once?" Iradons face now began to grimace with terror. I decided to point my blade in the demons direction. "Throughout your whole existence, you made a grave error demon."

Iradons face slowly grew irritated, and screamed at me. "And what would that be?!" I lowered my blade, and switched to a ready stance. "The ingenuity....of humanity!" After making my declaration, I instantly shifted right up to Iradon and began our clash. No matter what, I made sure to give him no time to breath. And as a result, I noticed he had a hard time keeping up with each my strikes. I decided to send him flying with a single swing of my blade. He flew for about seventy feet and crashed through four boulders.

Soon, the momentum slowed down enough that he ended up rolling right under a big tree. I decided to shift sixty feet in his direction and began slowly walking the rest of the way. During this, I noticed that Iradons face was covered in blood. And on top of that, he was struggling to get to his feet. Once I was five feet away from him, I let loose the last wind spell I was able to learn. I stuck my left arm out, and my hand began to glow green. "Dance of the sky, exploding typhoon!" Iradon then got swept up in a powerful tornado, the winds were so ferocious that more of his armor began to fall off.

And now, he was currently swirling around the top of the tornado. I shifted up to where he was, and hit him with another one of my light spells. I gripped my katana with both of my hands, and focused. The blade then started to get coated in lightning, I spun around and sent out a concentrated wave of lightning at the demon. "Shining thunder eruption!" The strike not only electrocuted his body, but the force sent him crashing down back into the ground. Leaving a crater that was about fifty feet deep, and was as wide as it was deep.

I saw that Iradon was standing at the bottom, smoke was coming off his body. And he struggled to stay on his feet, he breathed rapidly and used his swords to prop himself up again. I shifted to the bottom of the crater and continued to stare at him. Eventually, he somewhat regained his composure. After that, I used one of my dark magic spells to turn invisible. "Cloak!" Just like that, I disappeared before Iradons eyes. And soon, he began to visibly sweat. I then uncloaked myself, and I was now right in Iradons face.

This caught him by surprise, and I quickly kicked him out of the crater. "Wind blade kick!" He spared for sometime before landing back on the battlefield. I shifted to where he landed, and as soon as he saw me. He somehow quickly got back to his feet and started swinging his blades. Once again, I met every one of his strikes with equal or greater force using my blade. No matter what, I couldn't stop. I made it my mission to make sure that he used up every last ounce of his power. Soon, I was able to block both of his greatswords with my blade. I used this opening to let loose another once of my dark spells.

Only this time, it was another spell of my own design. "Hymn of hell, screeching fury!" I let loose a sonic screech that caused the demons ears to bleed, and he decided to backflip out of the line of fire. Once he did, I rushed in and made every attempt to strike the demon with my blade. Every attempt was met with counter after counter, and block after block. After this this exchange, I didn't think that Iradon would be capable of keeping up with me. And all of that, was soon gonna change.

I shifted past Iradons defenses, and decided to hit him with my final and most powerful water spell. "Call of the sea, Hydro storm flood!" I sent a huge and intense blast of water at the demon. The jet of water was so powerful that it not only swept him off of his feet. But, the stream swept the demon into a giant hurricane. After a few seconds, the hurricane dissipated and Iradon came falling out. He not only fell and hit the ground from about a hundred feet. He ended up landing face down in a small puddle of water.

Before the demon had time to react, I shifted until I was standing on his back. I grabbed his hair, and hit him with my second most powerful dark spell. "Endless suffering, darkness surge!" I hit Iradon with a blast of black and purple lightning. Thanks to all the water from before, the demon felt twice as much pain as would be expected. This also caused him to scream out in immense pain. "Argh!!! Damnit!!!" Once I was done, let go of the demon and let him continue to lie still in the puddle. Just as I was about to deal the final blow, something interesting happened.

Two small, wispy, black clouds started to head in my direction. Once they got closer, a demon emerged from each of the clouds and tried to pounce on me. Thankfully, I was able to defeat them both with one swing of my blade. Afterwards, Iradon stood up and looked at me as he breathed heavily. And even with all the damage he took, he still looked at me with determination clear in his eyes. Before, he was only looking to kill me because of his orders. But now, now it was a matter of pride for the demon. He didn't care what happened to his body, he just wanted to win.

Iradon roared, and onc again. His body was overcome by an intense black aura, with red static occasionally flying out like whips made from lightning. "I...I refuse! I refuse to lose to a simple human! I am a demon! We are the pinnacle of evolution, and we deserve to show everyone our power!" In that moment, I noticed Tarvador sneaking up close to Iradon. Other than a few cuts and bruises, it seemed that Tarvador was doing okay. I did my best to stay focused on the demon and keep myself from giving the Minotaur away.

However, thanks to all the water from before. There were small puddles of water that I didn't notice before, that were scattered about. Tarvador ended up stepping in one, this alerted Iradon. And in my attempt to salvage it all, I rushed him as soon as he took his eyes off me. Just as quickly though, he noticed me heading for him. When his eyes were on me, Tarvador used this as an opening to swing his axe. Iradon used his power and great speed to dodge us both. Causing me and Tarvador to accidentally crash into one another. Once we both got up and sorted that debacle out, all we could do was stare at the demon and his insane power.

I pointed my katana at Iradon, and decided to address him. "I hope your ready demon, we've reached the final stretch of this battle. And now, it's time for the swan song." I readied my blade for one final attack, my ultimate trump card. I had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but I had no other options. My eyes began to glow a bright silver color, so much so. That the intensity would rival that of a spotlight. My rainbow aura began to amp up, and grew even wilder than animals in a cage. As I readied myself, Tarvador charged the demon.

During this time, that's when I used my ultimate move. "Call of the universe, infinite rainbow slash!" When I unleashed this move, to Iradons eyes. It appeared that I shifted again, this in turn caught the demon by surprise. And as a result, Tarvador was able to chop off Iradons right arm. And before his arm even hit the ground, to any on lookers. I was already behind the demon, with my back turned to him and my blade extended out. I then raised my left hand, and snapped my fingers. Within seconds, blood began gushing from the demons neck like a fountain.

And soon, the demons head fell off of his body and landed next to the arm that Tarvador cut off. Iradons body then slowly fell to its knees, and eventually laid sprawled out on the ground. After a few seconds had passed, the entire body evaporated into black smoke. It was at this point, that I noticed that the dark sky from before. Was replaced with a clear blue one, along with a theme appropriate rainbow. Once I saw this, and powered my aura off. I sheathed my blade and smirked to myself on a job well done. However, this would be short lived as my vision grew blurry. Causing me to pass out, leaving me no choice but to wait and see where I would be after waking up.
