Gu Yan glanced at her, his demeanor frosty, "The plans submitted by the people below are still under my review."
Su Wanqing nodded, "The Jiang Family isn't native to Nanning; their assets are in other cities. I don't think it's safe to cooperate with the Jiang Family."
"You're right," Gu Yan nodded, casually closing his laptop, "I'll drive you back."
Su Wanqing linked her arm with his, coquettishly said, "I don't want to go back today. How about I go to your place?"
"I have things to do," Gu Yan replied tersely, gently shaking her hand off without a trace.
Su Wanqing froze for a moment, her eyes clearly showing disappointment. She had been with Gu Yan for several years, but he had always been cool and detached towards her. Sometimes she wasn't even sure if Gu Yan really liked her.
To say he had no feelings for her was hardly convincing. He cared for her in every way, stood up for her, gave her full face in public, and tried his best to fulfill her every wish.
