Freedom Pirates

I died. Short and to the point.

I had always been an adaptive person but dying, or should I say death now? Was not something I could ever just accept or adapt to. Now here I was still able to think after facing my own death. I didn't have a body, I knew this as well firstly I couldn't feel it. I know it sounds weird but it is the truth. What now? Was this heaven or hell? Or am I really just an inert chunk of randomly assembled molecules drifting wherever the universe blows me?

Well, at least I'm able to joke. My amusement was cut short when a sudden bout of pain attacked my head. It was extreme yet short-lived.

I opened my eyes expecting to see darkness but instead saw a dirty or rather old brown ceiling.

I looked around and found myself alone in this room. But where was this? Where was I? were the billion-dollar questions. The door swung open and in came a nurse, she looked at me in surprise and walked over with a few quick steps. She placed her hand on my forehead and gave me a smile.

"Your fever seems to have healed completely! How do you feel Xavier-kun?"

"I feel good but I am a bit confused-" I was cut off by more pain attacking my brain. I remembered things I shouldn't. A life I never lived. The life of one Xavier D. Zeneth, His nickname was Zen or Zenny, Some liked to call him by his last name, Xavier. Yes, he was a D clan member. He lived on an island named Bushi Village, near the sea of Las Camp in West Blue. He had an image of his dead father and a mother. His father was Xavier Hanths and his mother was Murish D. Rose. Yes, he got his D from his mother, that sounded very wrong. About his mother, well life wasn't easy for little Zenny.

He lost his father when he was 2 years old and he lost his mother who raised him, very recently. He doesn't consider her dead because she was kidnapped, by pirates. He tried to fight them but there was only so much a 12-year-old boy like him could do. So, he layed there in a puddle of his own blood as they carried his knocked-out mother, there were other women and almost all of their village funds too but at that moment he could only see his mother's tear-streaked face, her beautiful light blue dress covered in huge spots of blood. He was about to pass out when his body felt warm on the inside, like his blood was actually boiling, he felt his mind get warmer before he felt a huge burden lifted off of him. It was like he was some sorta pressure cooker. Unknown to him he released a small wave of conqueror's haki right as he passed out.

After that, I couldn't remember anything as if the movie was over. When I looked down, I saw the same bracelet the boy had on his hands but it was now on my wrist. I looked up to the nurse again who had a look of worry etched on her face.

"Zen-kun are you okay?" She asked, "I heard about Rose. I'm sorry Zenny, Your mother was a great woman." She said while placing a hand on my head.

"I need some time alone Miko-san." I said, remembering the nurse's name.

"Alright Zen-kun, call for me if you need something." She said before she left.

'Las camp was whitebeards territory, he will not let something like this slide. But, I looked down at my hands again. Why do I have this bracelet-' I thought before I realized something, 'But, of course, the nurse is the absolute giveaway and they called me a genius. It's like fanfiction, I've been reincarnated but if so, should I not be the one to get revenge on the melt pirates' I thought.

Melt pirates, named after their captain's ability, the captain had eaten the melt-melt fruit. He could melt anything, he'd touch with his hands. It would explain the bandages around my neck. He had held me by my neck before getting distracted by my mother, Murish D. Rose was a very beautiful woman and those assholes had taken her. I did feel like raging but I was a 12-year-old kid. The older and more mature half of me knew I'd probably never see her again, she was taken by pirate They'd have their fun then kill her or sell her. I needed to save her but how? I didn't have a boat or the strength needed. Neither did I have the men I would need. I put my clothes on and looked in the mirror.

"Huh?" I said as I saw tears streaming down my face. Was it me or Zeneth? Who was the one that was crying?

I wiped my tears and walked out of the room, how long was I out for? Didn't the nurse tell me to stay in the room and call for her if I needed something? Where was I headed? The mayor's office? Why here? My body moved as if on autopilot while my brain popped up with various questions.

I walked in and picked up the snail that was supposed to be used only by the mayor. It was a marked snail meaning it was a snail that had a single line, It was a direct connection. It was marked as, Moby Dick.

-The Hospital-

The mayor, Fuji Masato was visiting the people that were hurt. He saw a nurse running towards him while yelling his name. It was little Miko if he wasn't wrong, Miko was a 16-year-old nurse that had been working in the hospital since she was 11 years old. He was quite thankful for the girl's talent.

"What is it Miko? Why are you yelling in here of all places?" He asked.

"Masato-san, Zen-kun is not in his room!" She exclaimed.

His mind stopped for a second, Zenny boy was a smart and strong kid for his age, he was actually quite beyond the kids his age. He was a special child but he had seen something when the pirates were leaving. It proved how special zenny was, he released some sort of pressure and some of the pirates standing near his fallen body dropped down out of nowhere. The captain that was overlooking the situation from the ship, yelled at his men to get those lazy shitheads back on board.

The mayor noticed how zenny's eyes were open the whole time. Looking at the captain.

'I need to call whitebeard-san and get his help, he might know something about this pressure that I felt off of zenny boy too.' The mayor thought as he reached his office, he could hear a few yells from inside.

'Who would be in there right now?' He thought as he opened his door, miko was right behind him.

They both saw zenny yelling at a snail, it was a marked snail, the one that terrified him the most, cause on the other side of it was the strongest man in the world.

"This is your territory and you are supposed to take care of it. I mean where is the protection, we provide you with a port and free supplies every time you dock here. Heck we load up the supplies and all we ask in return is for you to protect our land but no, some no-name pirate just walks in and fucks the whole town up while you were doing whatever you were doing! Come here now and bring my mother and the rest of the women back or I will declare war on you as captain of the.....Free- yes Freedom Pirates!" Fuck that was a whole load of cringe but I hope I sell the image of a strong yet naive 12-year-old.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING BRAT!" Yelled the mayor. The yell did make me jump a little as I turned around and saw the mayor and the nurse that was taking care of me.

"Look this is a last ditch effort, he is the only one that can help me. You gotta understand gramps!" I yelled back.

"Last ditch effort is it, Captain Xavier-yoi?" A bored voice with a hint of amusement asked.

"Yes, I must admit it Marco-san but please I need your help and I did mean all those things, You were meant to protect this land and you failed. Also, Even if am not strong now, One day I will be after which I could take down your old man." I said.

"Hah, you're crazy-yoi but don't worry, if you would've just let me speak. We do protect your Island and we usually keep the protection on ships close to your island, as a form of petrol. A bunch of pirates staying in your village 24/7 would scare some of the villagers and disrupt your peace as we do tend to go a bit off kilter after a few drinks. So what I'm saying is, the women from your island that were taken 3 days ago were rescued from a slave ship that was being guided by the captain of the melt pirates. We are personally escorting them and will reach your island in a few hours, probably by 5 pm. What was your mother's name?" He said/asked.

"Rose." I said, not knowing if mom told them her full name.

"Wait for a minute-yoi." He said.

'Does he always sound that tired?' I thought. I was still surprised Marco didn't get angry with me for yelling at him.

"Hello, this is Rose. Is this the Bushi village? Is my Zen okay?" She asked rather quickly. I could understand really. But most importantly, the second I heard her voice, I felt a huge burden lifted off of me. My lips stretched in a smile without my mind's consent.

"Yes, I'm doing good mom, physically at least. Even mentally now that I know you're safe. Are you okay mom? Did they hurt you a lot?" I couldn't help but ask. I heard a few sniffs before I knew mom was crying, she was probably breaking down. She had been kidnapped and the last thing she had seen was her only son and family sleeping in his own pool of blood.

"Ma'am!" I heard Marco's voice and a small 'thud' sound as if someone had fallen down.

"MOM! Did you fall? Are you okay? What's going on Marco?" I yelled out in concern.

"I'm okay, I just needed to sit down. I'm so glad you're okay, I can't wait to see you again baby. Did you get any wounds zeenie?" She said using my nickname from when I was a baby. I didn't complaint about it though.

// It's pronounced as Zee-Knee.//

"I did get a few but I'm fine, You didn't answer my questions mom. How are you? Are you hurt?" I asked.

"I was but they have quite the doctors here. Don't worry about me zeenie." She said.

"Ohkayy, you got to say it once. Don't push your luck mom." I said.

"Hahaha!" I heard her giggle on the other side, I sat down. We talked for a few more minutes before we hung up with the promise of meeting soon.

-A few hours later-

Everyone was gathered at the port, there were around 200 people, all waiting for their loved ones.

A huge ship was seen docking near the port, and murmurs of relief rang across the port. Soon, Women and a few men were seen getting down from the ship, one by one everyone had found their family again except for one little child, Xavier D. Zeneth. Who looked ready to explode if the pirates in front of him were playing some kind of sick joke. Forgetting that this was the crew of the world's strongest man.

"Such a look, I can already tell who you are." Sighed the man in front of me.

"I'm Marco, and your mom is on the ship. Pops wants to talk to you-yoi." He said while raising his hand for a handshake. Hearing she was safe, I raised my hand. Only for him to pull me up to his shoulder as blue flames licked his body. He flew up in the sky and towards the ship. Getting yells from the people of the village, they were calmed down by the whitebeard pirates who had gotten down on land.

"Pay up." Marco said to a man with light brown pompadour-style hair.

"Not even a peep! You've got platinum balls kid." He said as he gave Marco a wad of bills.

My sole attention had rather been on a single woman, She had long black hair, fair skin with a beautiful smile. She was wearing a long yellow dress. She gave him the warmest of looks and brightest of smiles while spreading her arms for him. I didn't waste a second, launching myself towards her. I gave her the tightest of hugs possible and let out a few tears into her shoulder. She had fallen to her knees and wrapped her arms around me. She whispered something in my hair, Something on the lines of loving me.

"So you're the brat who yelled at my son eh?" Asked a voice that held a shit ton of weight. I didn't need to look to know who this was, I felt my mother's arm coil tighter around me yet I could feel them shake a little in fear. I smiled at that. I pushed myself out of her embrace and looked at him, the strongest of this world, the man with the power to destroy this world, I had come face to face with him, Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard!

Just so you guys understand, the freedom pirates name was a spontaneous decision, it was the first thing that the MC could think of. The gang itself is gonna directly attack the world government so like RA but pirates.
