Too Short

All in all, the hunt was fairly easy, i just rushed up to the beast as fast as i could and cleaved it in half before he could recover from the surprise.

I bundled it up using my chain and carried it back to town like this. The guards let me pass easily this time too and now I'm headed to the administration.

This request was in fact posted by the Academy since it was a direct danger to its inhabitants so i would obviously need to report it back directly to them.

I entered the spine looking tower and went toward the reception.

"Hello miss, do you need anything?"

It should be fairly obvious, no? I mean, I'm carrying a beast's corpse, what for if not a subjugation request? But i supposed that they don't go around guessing what the peoples would ask, that would make them look like pushy peoples.

"Hello, yes I'm here to hand in a prousche for a subjugation request posted by the administration."

"Okay, let me check my files... Right here! Take this and head to the room on the left."

She said presenting me with a file.

"Thanks"

When i entered i was met with a vast room obviously made to dismantle beasts. I base this observation on the abundance of cutting tools and the presence of various anatomic drawings from different kind of creatures.

There was also a thin man behind a counter his face was almost entirely Hidden behind his wild beard and a pair of circular glasses. And he looked bored as hell, or maybe asleep. Hard to guess without seeing his face.

"Hello there?"

"Huh? Oh, that was a long time since I saw someone here. Here for a subjugation request?"

"Yep, here's a file" i said handing him over the documents that i was given earlier.

"And here's the beast" i said unpacking the beast on the wide stone slab in the center of the room. A big five meter wide and one-meter-high square slab.

"Good, do you need anything from this beast or are you ok with selling it whole to the administration?"

Honestly, I don't need any gear nor special ingredient from any beast. Maybe I should try to get the venom. But honestly why should I go hit and run when I can just smash anything that sands in my way?

"You can keep it whole."

"Okay then bring this to the receptionist." He said handing me a small paper covered with.... I'm pretty sure that We speak the same language. But I'm absolutely positive that this paper doesn't hold any symbol that remotely look like a letter.

Meh, none of my concern, i'll just let that girl at the reception handle it.

I left him prodding at my hunt with some nasty looking saws and left toward the reception.

"Hey miss I was told to hand you this, I'm pretty sure that it's no known language but anyway."

"Oh, thank you, just a minute. Even after all those years it still take a bit of time to decipher his writing.".

So, she can read that, and it's supposed to be the same language that we speak. Heck I was told that my handwriting was bad, and not only during this life, but this man is on a whole other level!

"So here are 5 golds, 1 for the hunt and 4 for the body."

So, a bone jaw is more valuable than a prousche. Well its quite obvious now that i think about it: though leather and bone plates that can be used to make some armors and a great meat. While prousche being toxic beasts I doubt they're edible though that poison must be where it's value come from.

A short while passed since i came back from my hunt and I was waiting for Gret. At the closest training ground from my dorm building. Ad sucks for him that his building is in the opposite direction from mine. I'm sure that he needs some exercise.

After a long and boring while he finally came.

Just kidding, as if i would ever allow myself to be bored. I trained instead, i need to get a better hang of wielding the chain before i can actually use it in a real fight. While my strength and matter of factly speed are top notch my skills are trash, I have some fighting sense since I sparred with lots of people but no real technique.

"Hem, hehem."

I'm training, so i don't care. Which mean that I didn't even spare a glance toward the disturbance.

"Erm, miss Krell weren't we supposed to have a bout?"

Fuck.

"Haaaa... Okay come and ready yourself."

I briefly looked around and the whole team was here. Well look like it's a public humiliation then.

"I'll grant you the first strike, are you ready?"

He got in a fighting stance before answering, seems that he isn't completely dumb. That won't help him though.

"Yes!"

Here we go!

As I said I granted him the first strike: I dashed toward him and punched him in the gut before he could do anything.

He barely managed to block the strike by manifesting a large water bubble between my fist and him. I Said block? My bad, he merely slowed my fist.

The impact sent him tumbling on the ground and before he could get up i already caught up to him and threw a light jab to his temple easily knocking him out.

"Hey Lucius, you go with Kutra and bring him back to his dorm. Dorion you go with sis to find Nour and ask her to teach you a bit of cooking. I'll go and register our team with the teachers."

"Fine I'll take care of him, I'll be relying on you to show me the way miss Kutra"

"Kay, I'll bring him to Nour, see you later."

This fight was too short, and the hunt too, I'll need to get a better fight.
