Birth of a Celestial (3)

A few hours have passed since I had started slaughtering the wave of wolves with my spear.

[Starlight Fire has been activated]

The system said as I blasted a group of wolves. Although I was struggling a bit due to the number of wolves, I felt that something was missing.

Compared to the other scenarios where me and my comrades had to rack our brains and strength just to survive, was this scenario really supposed to be just like this?

However I had to think of those later, right now slaughtering these wolves had to prioritized.

Just as I thought of that, a message from the Testament of Stories rang.

[The Night's Fury is awakening.]

[The Night's Fury will fully awaken in 1 minute.]

I had a bad premonition. I wondered what that was.

I continued to slaughter the wolves as fast as I could, afraid that something will happen if I don't.

[The Night's Fury has awakened.]

The wolves that were attacking me suddenly ran in random direction, as though they were afraid of something.

A loud explosion was suddenly heard in front of me. I ran to check what it was, and there I saw a figure.

Its fur shined, as though it was refined silk made from silver, standing on its two feet looking at me with its red glowing eyes.

It looked like a wolf, yet it seemed intelligent enough to gaze at me cautiously, it could even walk. The wolf looking being wore black armor as it continued to walk towards me.

It muttered something.

"I see, so we weren't the only ones trapped within the scenarios.."

I could vaguely hear what it whispered with my heightened senses. What did it mean by that?

However, before I could proceed to ask them, they suddenly ran towards me and tried hitting me with their sharp claws.

I deflected it with my spear and striked back.

[Piercing Stab activated]

It dodged and tried striking my shoulder with its claws. I felt pressured, the claws were over 25 cm long, they were sharp and hard enough to parry my spear which was condensed in Flaming Body.

We deflected each others attack for awhile before it walked back and activated something.

[The Night's Fury has activated the Night's curse]

[Your stats have been reduced by 10%]

I didn't have time to react as it jumped towards me with its sharp claws once again.

I dodged and aimed my spear at it.

[Starlight Fire has been activated]

The wolf looking being tried blocking the firebeam with its claws as it was too late to dodge.

[Metallic Claws has been activated]

It got blasted away from the pressure of the fire beam, but it was not hurt enough to be heavily injured. It mumbled something again.

"Interesting.."

[The disaster called The Night Fury has activated Running Shadow]

I faltered for a moment as it suddenly disappeared.

[The First Celestial says that the Disaster is running towards the Village!]

I nodded and tried activating my sprint skill. However, before I could, the wolves that ran away from earlier suddenly appeared and attacked me.

I cursed.
