An Abandoned Past.
"My parents were abusive, especially my father. He used to beat and harass me and my siblings every time he got drunk.
Until he finally killed my younger brother, out of anger I talked back to him and he attacked me. When I woke up I was in the hospital.
She looked away.
"Mom and my two sisters had pulled him away from me after I passed out while he hit me. They were both hurt too.
We spent the week there until I recovered and when we returned home, Father threw our things out saying we left his house since we all rebelled.
I had threatened him saying I was going to go to the police and report him about my brother's death.
She looked up at Frank.
"That was the first time I saw a gun "she muttered.
