Segment Chapter XII | You Love to Hate

Silence roams around Alyssa's house. Brian and Alyssa are sleeping peacefully in their room. Whispers roam around Alyssa. She tosses and turns on her side of the bed. She wakes up in a white room.

"What the?"

She gets up from her bed and walks around the room. One step she makes, her bed disappears away from her.

"Hello?!" Alyssa yelled. "Is anyone here?!"

"Turn around and come sit in this chair."

A chair appeared in front of her. She turns around and sits in it.

"Okay. I'm here. What do you guys want from me?!"

Michele and Carolyn appear in front of her sitting down next to each other.

"Michele? What are you doing here? I thought you were in prison?" Alyssa said.

"She is, this is just an illusion in your dreams, she just wants to disturb people." Carolyn said.

Michele slaps Carolyn in the mouth. She grabs her collar on her shirt.

"What did I say..." Michele said angrily. Carolyn slaps her. Michele grabs her hand in defense. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." she smirks, clenching Carolyn's hand hard.

"Fine." she said.

Michele releases her hand. Alyssa stares at them.

"Don't mind her. She's mad because I woke her up."

"And me too?! What's the point you 're trying to make here?" Alyssa exclaimed, standing up from her chair.

"You aren't. Now, we just wanted to talk to you."

"I don't talk to people that commited murderous acts against the locals."

Alyssa walks away.

"Yes, you will."

"No, I'm not."

"Carolyn. Stop her."

Carolyn sighs and summons a barrier around them. Alyssa crashes herself in the barrier.

"Now are you going to talk or are you going to continue acting like a brat?"

Alyssa rolls her eyes and turns back around. "Fine. I'll talk to you guys."

She walks to her chair and sits back down. Michele smirks.

"Good girl." She chuckles. "So... A little birdie told us that you snapped at one of the heroes earlier today?"

"Oh.. Right. I feel bad, I mean, I should've never snapped at her."

"You had every right to snap at her. She told you to calm down like she's your boss."

"She was trying to calm me down after hitting my friend."

"Sure she was. You know, I heard that a snow leopard girl is a killer. She could kill anyone if she wanted to, including your fiance."

"Wait really?"

"Yeah. Carolyn saw it with her own eyes. Did you?"

Michele turns around and looks at Carolyn. Carolyn is asleep. She slaps her to wake her up.

She woke up fast.

"Right Carolyn?" Michele mumbled. Carolyn nods.

"Oh yeah. I did. It scared me." Carolyn said, rolling her eyes.

"I saw that."

"Of course you did." she mumbles. Michele gives her a glare angrily. Alyssa clears her throat. They both look at her.

"Right. Yeah that girl is dangerous. Plus I think I saw her in your room with a knife wanting to kill your fiance."

"Wait what?!"

Alyssa turns around, looking at her fiance, sleeping peacefully. She sees a silhouette shape that looks like Azenith holding a knife, attempting to stab Brian in the chest. Alyssa runs towards them, the silhouette moves farther away from her. The silhouette stabs Brian in the chest. Alyssa stops running, looking at her fiance being stabbed. Her face turned into horror as she saw the blood oozing out of his chest. The silhouette looks at her and smirks. Tears come down on Alyssa's face. She breathes while trying not to burst out crying. Michele laughs.

"This can't be happening..." Alyssa said. "This can't happen- I'm dreaming. This isn't real. Please, It isn't real. I have to wake up."

"It's all real, Alyssa. She killed your fiance..." Michele said.

Alyssa continues to breathe, fire sparks around her rapidly. More tears started to run down her face.

"No...NO!"

Alyssa screams, the fire bursts, Michele and Carolyn braces themselves through the explosion, the silhouette disappears in the explosion. Alyssa quickly wakes up. She looks at Brian. She touches his chest and sees blood oozing out of the stab wounds. She looks at her hand covered with blood, tears fall through her face.

"Brian.."

She checks his pulse, and doesn't feel a heartbeat. He's out cold. She quickly grabs her phone and calls the paramedics. The call fails to connect with dispatch. Alyssa looks around. She looks at a towel. She gets up and quickly grabs the towel, wrapping it around Brian's chest to put pressure on the wound.

"It's going to be okay..." Alyssa said, kissing brian's cheek. She picks him up from the bed and speeds out of the door quickly getting to the hospital.

At the hospital, Alyssa runs into the hospital towards the receptionist area.

"I need help please, my fiance got stabbed in the chest in his sleep and he's bleeding badly!"

The receptionist looks up at Alyssa and Brian quickly. "Oh my god. Let me call and see if we can get anyone to help him."

"Okay thank you!" Alyssa walks over to the waiting area, seeing two chairs. She sits down and lays Brian on her lap, creasing his hair. A crew of doctors runs out of the double doors with a rolling bed. They pick up Brian, feeling his pulse, putting an oxygen mask on him, and running out the waiting area. Alyssa gets up and follows them, the doctor stops her.

"Ma'am, you can't go in here."

"But I need to, I want to stay by his side."

"Ma'am please, you can't. This is a restricted area."

Alyssa pushes the doctor away from her and runs in the area. The doctor gets up, calls for security and runs after her.

"Ma'am!" The doctor yelled.

Alyssa turns back and looks at the doctor running towards her. She looks at Brian motionless body going in the emergency room. Alyssa smirks at Brian.

"I'll come back for you, hon." She said to herself. She looks at the window in one of the rooms inside. She goes into the room, opening the window. The doctor runs in with the security guards. Alyssa steps one foot on the railings of the window.

"Ma'am, you can't be here without a visitor's pass." The doctor said,

"I know. That's why I'm leaving out the window. What are you going to do about it?"

"We'll... We'll stop you from jumping out the window."

Alyssa scoffs.

"It's not that bad of a drop. I'll survive." Alyssa said, jumping out the window. The doctors and the security guards run inside the room towards the window. Fire bursts out of the soles of Alyssa's shoes, flying back to her house. Tears came down on her face. A spirit-like version of Michele flies next to Alyssa.

"You see, Alyssa? That girl is a real killer and killed your fiance."

"But why... Why would she go out of your way to kill my fiance?" Alyssa asks. "Was she mad at me after I pushed her away?"

"It could be that. You know how she is, Alys. I'd rather get revenge on her."

"I don't want to do that..."

"She killed your fiance." Michele said. "Don't you think getting revenge would be fun to do?"

"I guess, That would be fun to do."

"Good girl." Michele chuckles and disappears.
