CHAPTER 17: MORE PROGRESS

Dia used 'Telepathy' to communicate with William, <Take Claudia outside and don't let anyone come in.>

"I will talk to my daughter and help you get the order," William whispered in Henry's ear.

Henry nodded his head happily. He was sure that he will get the order today.

"I have something to talk to you, Claudia" said William gently.

"What about Julia, Father?" Claudia asked.

Dia whispered in her ear, "Just talk to your father. I will give you reward tonight."

"All right," said Claudia happily.

After William and Claudia went out of the room, Dia turned to interrogate Henry.

"I have never heard about NEO-X Corporation before. Can you tell me more about your company?" Dia asked.

"Well, NEO-X Corporation is a large company, which is famous for medical products," Henry said.

<I really don't want to talk to her.> there were the true words popped up in Dia's mind.

"Did NEO-X relate to ENOX?" Dia asked.

Henry looked at her surprisingly. He felt something strange from her question, then said, "No."

<I have to find an excuse and get out of here.> there were the true words popped up in Dia's mind.

Dia activated 'Familia' to make his heart throb.

"Ouch!" Henry exclaimed, then said, "I think I'm in no condition to…Ouch"

"If you didn't want your heart hurt, just answer my questions," Dia said.

"What?" Henry asked, confusingly.

<How could she make my heart hurt?> there were the true words popped up in Dia's mind.

"Did NEO-X relate to ENOX?" Dia asked.

"I said no," said Henry angrily.

Dia said nothing and made his heart throb again and again.

'Ouch' 'Argh…' 'No…' 'Ouch…' 'It's hurt' Henry endured it until he reached the limit, then said, "Wait…I will tell you…please stop it…"

"Tell me everything you know about NEO-X and ENOX," Dia said.

"NEO-X is owned by the group of 5 rich people. I don't know their names but they are rich and powerful people from many countries. They registered the business under nominees' name as the medicine company. The company produces and sells many kinds of medicines in Mirarus and exports to other countries. But this information is just the front. Their real business is secretly producing and selling all kinds of special bio hunters. They made much money from the real business. Well, you know, there are many people like Mr. William who can pay high sum of money to get powerful weapons. ENOX is related to NEO-X. They made it a charity and helped people for real but they secretly keep samples from those people and send the samples to the secret laboratories in the other countries," Henry said.

There was nothing popped up in Dia's mind. It meant that he told the truth.

"How did they find many humans who are willing to become like that?" Dia asked.

"I have never seen the labs myself but I assumed that they might find poor people and offer them something in exchange. Well, pool people have no much choice, right?" Henry said.

"Who is the management of NEO-X Corporation in Mirarus?" Dia asked.

"I don't know their names. They have never revealed their faces. They wore face masks, sunglasses, and hooded coats to cover their identities every time they came to the company. I know only that there are 3 men and 1 woman." Henry said.

"How did you get this work?" Dia asked.

"I was poor before. I saw the job announcement with high sum of money and applied it. They did not ask anything much, and then 2 days later, they said they chose me to work in this position," Henry said.

"What about the others?" Dia asked.

"There are only 18 employees who work in the same position like me. Most of us are pool before and some of us had been criminals. The other hundreds of employees who work in the factory did not know anything about the real business," Henry said.

"I will not put you in jail for now but I want you to find a way to make me meet the management of NEO-X Corporation," Dia said, "and you should know that you can't betray me. If you betray me, you will die from heart attack. If you tried to tell the other people, you will die as well. You must cooperate with me and my team and keep everything secret," Dia said.

"…Yes, I understand," Henry said.

Dia called Regina.

{I saw and heard everything. I will do the rest.} Regina said.

"We are in the meeting room on the second floor," Dia said.

{All right. Our people will be there in 10 minutes.} Regina said and hung up.

Dia used 'Telepathy' to communicate with William, <There will be my team come to arrest Henry. Let them in.>

After a short while, there were 2 undercover detectives came to pick him up.

William and Claudia came inside after they went out of the meeting room.

"What had happened?" Claudia asked, surprisingly.

"It's nothing. He's just a bad guy," Dia said.

"Well, will I be in trouble?" William asked, nervously.

"If you did not do anything illegal here, you will be all right. But I recommend you to stop those businesses of yours," Dia said.

"I got it. I will clean everything up very soon," William said, eagerly.

Claudia was surprised with her father's reaction. She did not know what they were talking about.

"I have to go back to Oriens. I will not see you again…" Dia told Claudia, then turned her eyes toward William, "…unless there is problem arise."

"Oh, there won't be any problem. I promise," William said, willingly.

Dia inactivated 'Familia' on them both.

"You said you will give me reward tonight," said Claudia disappointedly.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I have something urgent to do," Dia said and left.

"Julia!" Claudia called, trying to follow her.

William held her back and gently said, "I will find new lover for you, Claudia"

"But I want her, Father" said Claudia childishly.

William did not want to associate with Julia (Dia), then said, "I will choose your ideal type, Okay?"

"…Okay," said Claudia pleasantly.

Dia packed everything and went to check out.

She walked to parking garage and walk to her sports car. She felt someone following her from the lobby. She continued walking to the car and got inside, then used 'The Eye of Truth' to check all the life energies surrounding her. She was sure that there was someone following her after she sensed someone behind one of the pillars.

She slowly drove the car and changed direction to go to the beach.

Octavia hurriedly got into the car, and drove, tailing her.

Dia saw a car tailing her for a while. She turned the car to Litus Hotel nearby. She parked the car, then walked to the beach restaurant & bar. She pretended to enjoy the atmosphere and ordered some foods and wine, while using 'The Eye of Truth' to check the movement of the one who was tailing her.

After a while, Octavia approached her and asked, "If you don't mind, can I join you? I saw you sit here alone for a while," She tried to deceive her as she knew that her target (Dia) likes woman.

<I want to close the case soon. I have to seduce her to get more information about William.> there were the true words popped up in Dia's mind.

"Of course," said Dia nicely. She thought that she might be undercover detective.

"I'm Rose. May I ask your name?" Octavia said, charmingly.

"I'm Julia," said Dia nicely.

"Do you come here often?" Octavia asked, nicely.

"I come here sometimes. What about you?" Dia said, nicely.

"I come here sometimes as well. I like the atmosphere here," said Octavia nicely.

<She seems to not fall for me. I'm confident about my face but I'm not great at seduction.> there were the true words popped up in Dia's mind.

Dia felt amused by her thought but she must act calm. She tried to help her, then asked, "Would you like a drink? I will treat you," She looked at her attractively.

"A glass of wine would be all right," said Octavia nicely.

Dia poured wind in a glass and handed it to her.

"Thank you," said Octavia nicely.

"Do you live in Austellus?" Dia asked, nicely.

"Yes, I live in the outskirts of Austellus." Octavia said, nicely, then asked, "What about you?"

<Why did she ask? Did she start to interest me? Well, whatever, I have to find out about her more.> there were the true words popped up in Dia's mind.

"I live in Oriens. I came here to do my business," said Dia nicely.

"Do you mind if I asked about your business, Ms. Julia? Well, you look very rich," Octavia asked, nicely.

<Will she answer my question?> there were the true words popped up in Dia's mind.

Dia intentionally touched her hand, then leaned forward and whispered in her ear, "I will tell you after we knew each other more. What do you think?" She deceived her, looking at her passionately. She wanted to know why she tailed her.

"All right," said Octavia pleasantly.

<That's good! I have more chance to investigate her.> there were the true words popped up in Dia's mind.

Dia paid the bill and led her into the hotel. She booked a room and led her to the room.

After Dia walked inside the room, Octavia knocked her unconscious.

Dia knew her intention since the beginning. She had activated magic power to boost the strength on her body, especially the deadly spots. She pretended to lose consciousness after she was hit on the occipital area.

Octavia dragged her body and put her into the bed. She put the handcuffs on her wrists and locked them with the bars of the head of bed frames.

She searched her pockets for the wallet and found it in her trouser pocket, then took it out. She looked for her Identity, then took a picture, and sent email to her co-investigator for checking more information about her.

'Buzz' 'Buzz' the sound from Octavia's mobile phone.

"Hello. Do you get any information about her?" Octavia asked.

{Yes, her profile is clean. She became a millionaire after she won the lottery jackpot.} a co-investigator said.

"Anything else?" Octavia asked.

{No, she has no history of the crime.} a co-investigator said.

"But I saw her associating with William Griseus and his daughter," Octavia said.

{Do you have the other evidences?} a co-investigator asked.

"No, I only saw her came out of William's mansion. She seems to be close with him and his daughter. I have never seen him let any outsider go inside his mansion before," Octavia said.

{If you were curious, investigate her more.} a co-investigator said and hung up.
