Spring Dance

The two stood tall in the face of the demon neither having any fear plastered on. They both took steps forward, confidently, they exhibited an aura unlike anyone, it even masked the vibrations Jake was giving off, it protruded a sense of superiority over everyone and could be sensed if they were in a close enough proximity.

"Jake" one of the twin voices

"Step back..." he orders, placidly.

"I can deal with this myself" Jake retaliates

"Did you not hear what he said" the second voices impatiently, the two had very different personas, one was very hot-tempered by looks of it, while the other seems stiff and commanding. The only thing homogenous about them is their look, if one compared the two from what was within it would have shown two different people.

"The captain ordered us to take care of it." the first twin says

"Would you rather bring this up with him?" the continues, edging Jake to step back.

Jake respects the captain, he was after all the commander of the entire military within this sovereign nation. He had his hand in every corner of the country's defensive might, it was only the royal army that was led by the king, nonetheless, he still had influence in the palace. He was considered one of the more important political figures within the country but was still known for his absolute loyalty to the throne.

He too kept in mind that Orchid was with him, he didn't think it would be the wisest decision to get into this with him in arms, he needed to check up on him to see if he was doing alright, prompting his withdrawal. He rushed back bringing the unconscious body to a healer that came along with the twins. Racquel followed him as she notices him racing to meet a senior of hers.

"All talk I see..." the demon mocks Jake.

"You would have been better off with me...farewell" he talks under his breath. Smiling softly.

"Phelix, now" the first brother commands.

"Yes," his younger twin brother spoke obediently, the first brother had seemed to have certain command over the younger twin. Here it didn't seem like they were in a brotherly relationship but more of a commander and subordinate type of association.

They both start to twirl their poles together, they had elegantly done so both well in sync. The lantern at each end lit as they channeled their magic into their arms.

The demon scoffed.

"Dancing?"

"Are you mocking me!" he roars, he arms himself with his ax but before he could engage he started to get into a slight daze.

"What?!?!" he grabs onto something as it falls gently in front of him.

"A Sakura petal?" the demon voices groggily. He looks up only to find countless of them falling down, showering him.

The twins were no longer in his field of vision, this point beyond. He tries to look for them in his dazed state. Both of them with their entire team had disappeared, not even Jake could be seen. The only thing he was able to visualize was a beautiful field filled with Sakura trees with their petals falling elegantly to the meadow below.

"Where are they?" he manages to voice a few words before completely shutting down.

In his eyes, everything faded in a matter of seconds but in the eyes of everyone else, he was being restrained,

They were managing to transport his body out of the temple, they had written a teleportation circle below his feet, waiting to transfer him out of the land into the capital. There were some who kept guard, just in case he were to awaken. Some were still fastening the rope to his body ensuring that everything was secure and in no instance, he would be able to break free.

As they started to wrap everything up, Jake walked up to the person in charge, but obviously after caring for Orchid, he wouldn't leave him even after the healer took over. He even eyed her when she started to undress him, to treat his wounds. The was so much hostility and Racquel was the witnessing spirit of the whole scene. After everything was settled, the healer informed them that he would be okay but might not wake up for a while.

"That's good" Racquel murmurs with despair enveloping every word.

"Are you even his friend?" Jake was angered at the comment but soon after Racquel explained the who ordeal he fell silent.

"Where are they?" he asked

"She pointed into the temple."

"Did you notice two bodies in the middle covered with blood, that's them." she said solemnly with a tear trickling down her cheek.

Jake looked back at Orchid's resting body before leaving, a tear fell as he walked, dropping to the floor towards the older twin.

"How did that thing get in?" he asked him fiercely.

"Huh, how dare you talk to my brother like that, do you want me to teach you a lesson kid." the second twin interrupted

Racquel rushes over to him hoping that he wouldn't cause anything, she was surprised that he cared this much about the kid he tossed around not too long ago. She followed behind the muscular warrior with the aim to stop any arguments he might bring up.

"Jake, stop this, Orchid is not going to get better with you arguing!" she sternly interjected.

"I am not too sure..." the first brother said distantly as if he was hiding something, Jake noticed his reluctant tone and grabbed the collars of his shirt, pulling him closer.

"What did you do?" he started shouting. The second twin brother engaged his staff but was halted by his older sibling, the single gesture made all the sense to him even if it didn't to anyone else.

"Jake stop this, let's just wait on him to wake up, he is already going through a lot, don't make things even worse for him." Racquel says making him calm down, he looked back to Orchid in the distance with sadness written all over his face.
