Its sinuous body, covered in molten scales, radiated an oppressive heat, and its eyes gleamed with malice.

Without another thought, Logan gulped an advance heat resistance potion.

"Uncle, Run… Fast…" Logan shouted as began parrying the beast before him.

But what he doesn't expect is, his uncle started running towards the beast with his shield lifted high up.

"Ahhh… for god's sake why the hell he is not seeing the Level 10 on the beast head?!" Logan murmured as he moved.

Boosting his agility with all those attribute points really helped him. In the nick of time, he was able to save his uncle's life from the deadly beast.

The fight began with epic moves. The Wyrm's breath unleashed torrents of fire, which Logan expertly dodged.

"Hey, uncle. Back off. It's a big beast. Let me handle it." Logan shouted as he confronted the beast with the silver rank sword he got under the lake.

Utilizing the environment, he lured the creature near a smoke vent and, timing it perfectly, used the burst of hot air and "gale storm" to destabilize the beast. After an intense battle of dodging and chipping out the beast Hp, the Lava fury Wyrm let out a final roar before collapsing. He immediately used a health potion to fill up his HP bar.

Chests in MMORPGs were often rewarding, but gold chests were legendary.

Amidst the smouldering embers and lingering heat of their recent battle with the Lava Fury Wyrm, Logan approached the ornate golden chest with a mix of excitement and caution.

Uncle, do wanna open this thing? Logan asked with a happy smile.

What's in there? The fat uncle asked with a varying look. He is still feeling shaky because of all this new experience.

"It's okey. Come here and place your hand on this thing. If your luck is good, this golden baby might pay half of your debt to mark gang." Logan said as he gave a way for his uncle.

The fat uncle, comically kneeled before the chest and began praying after placing his hand on chest.

With a celebratory noise, the chest disappeared leaving a bunch of item.

Name: Guardian's Debuff Shield (silver)

Description: A shield forged in the ancient forges of the celestial blacksmiths. It not only provides stout defence but also has the power to weaken foes, turning the tide of battle.

Logan also noticed a few smaller items. A bundle of magical herbs, an elixir with a swirling galaxy inside (Invisibility Potion), and a scroll sealed with a wax emblem.

But what caught Logan's attention most was a booklet labelled "Basic Potion Brewing Guide." In a world where potions were pivotal starts for earning, this guide was invaluable.

Skimming through, Logan realized it contained recipes for crafting level 1 to 5 rank potions, antidotes, and even some rare brews. With this, they wouldn't have to rely on purchasing potions.

Did… did I do it right? The fat uncle asked as he saw Logan engrossed in checking out the items.

"Not bad. Even though only silver rank items we got, this booklet will shower coins on us." Lohan said as stored the items in inventory.

Haha… that's awesome. Let's go back then. We will make some money." The uncle cried out with happiness.

"Nah… uncle. We are not going to sell it. It's a useful thing for us. By the way, I need to complete a big task on the top of the volcano. Until then, you try to level up by killing all the beasts here." Logan said as he really can't escort his uncle to the top where Level 12 to 15 beasts roam in groups.

Their journey up the volcano had been perilous and Logan spent a lot in anticipation of this mission, but the rewards? Absolutely worth it.

But Logan only finished half of his adventure as the real challenge stood tall before him.

In the bustling virtual world of the MMORPG, where countless players pursued their quests and adventures, a small and secretive gathering unfolded in a dimly lit bar. The atmosphere was heavy with anticipation, and a group of five individuals huddled around a worn-out wooden table, the flickering candlelight casting eerie shadows across their faces.

At the head of the table stood Alpha Mane, a seasoned player with a reputation for cunning strategies and resourcefulness. His character, a shrewd rogue known as Lizard, had just burst into the bar, breathless and disheveled.

"Lizard, what happened? Why are you running like this?" Alpha Mane demanded, his voice a low growl of curiosity and authority.

"I... I found him," Lizard gasped between ragged breaths, his eyes wide with excitement and anxiety.

"Really? Where is he now?" Alpha Mane pressed, gripping Lizard's collar as if to extract every morsel of information.

"Boss... it's a really big catch," Lizard stammered, struggling to regain his composure. "He... he opened a gold chest."

The group at the table erupted in disbelief, their eyes widening in astonishment. The prospect of a gold chest was a rarity beyond imagination in their virtual realm.

"Are you sure?" one of the women interjected skeptically. "We haven't even seen a silver chest till now."

"Yeah, we're talking about the stuff of legends," another girl chimed in, voicing the doubt that lingered in the group's collective mind.

Lizard, still gasping for air, nodded emphatically. "No... no... boss. I'm damn sure. That guy is an expert. The monsters he killed were all above Level 6. I even saw him take down an elite beast single-handedly. There's also a newbie following him around like a lost puppy."

Alpha Mane leaned back in his chair, stroking his chin in contemplation. "Hmm... I remember seeing him once, too. He passed us on the mountain when we were herb-picking with our guild leader."

"Boss, what should we do now?" another member of the group queried, his expression a mix of concern and confusion. "We can't go against someone of that level. Our guild boss won't allow our plans, either."

"Don't worry," Alpha Mane replied with a sly grin. "I have a plan in mind. As the vice guild leader, I can gather all the thieves in our guild by telling them we have a unique task. Just be sure not to let Guild Leader Black Rose catch wind of it."

With their eyes fixed on the dimly lit screen, the group of players in the bar began to hatch a devious scheme to seize the opportunity presented by the mysterious expert who dared to open a gold chest.
