Spring turned Winter
By: Bibliophile_Anna and Rosescarlet
We stared at the sky finding courage to go on,
Eyes filled with tears, heart shattered to bits.
Where did we go wrong?
Our hearts' as one turned cold as none.
Separated by a wall that couldn't be touched,
Imprisoned by our own ego, selfishness and pride
How could we change when no one's brave enough?
How could we thaw these cold hearts of ours?
We broke our ties and destroyed all our bridges,
The wall we built too high to even mend it.
The once serene spring turned cold fiercing winter.
Both our hearts turned cold and eventually wasted.
The summer's warmth began to waver
Would we ever again feel our embraces
And feel the warmth instead of heart getting colder?
Would we ever feel the same and love each other again?
A wishful thinking of a love reigniting
If love could only flow endless as the ocean.
Then, wouldn't it be good for us to begin
And built another bridge for us to cross and be reunited.
