Chapter 5 – FBI! Open Up!

Standing there all alone, I stared at the spot occupied by the Devil King mere moments before. But now, it was empty of any sign of life. I was the lone Lucifer in this castle. Just like my predecessor had been.

Gently raising my hand, I gazed intently at the ring that now signified my new position as the next head of House Lucifer. A move that would either get me the position of the leader of all devils, or get me killed hours after the news was released to the underworld.

Frankly, with what I have seen of my kind, the latter is more expected.

That wasn't the only problem though.

I have been tasked with so many assignments now, which could potentially be extremely lethal, that I feel like I am back in school.

Speaking of assignments, didn't I complete one of the quests?

Hmm, will check it out later. Right now, I need to take a look around the estate and understand the situation and how to proceed further.

Moving down the halls, I couldn't help but think about the weight of my family's legacy on my shoulders. I had vowed to make our family name famous again, to restore us to the heights of power and prestige that we once held. But the task before me seemed insurmountable, and I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the enormity of it all.

I could continue my journey to become the strongest person in existence, and with my magic and now the quests, it would be much easier for me to accomplish this. But this definitely would not be enough.

As someone who was in a situation similar to this in their previous life, I can implement some of the things that should prove fruitful. I needed to gather allies, to build a network of support that would help me achieve my goals. Strong peerage members were also a much needed tool to represent the strength of the Lucifer name.

As my thoughts ran wild, the thumping of heavy boots colliding against the floor made me turn my head to the right, a dark figure occupying my field of vision.

Ah yes, the… statue that beat me up like a 3-year-old against an MMA fighter.

I couldn't help but wonder what had brought him to me.

He approached me, his armor clanking as he knelt down in front of me, his eyes lowered to the floor in subservience. An action that took me by surprise.

"What is it?" I questioned; a bit anxiety evident in my tone.

The knight didn't say anything, but somehow, his thoughts were being communicated to my mind, and I instinctively understood what had brought him here.

"You wish to swear allegiance to me, the new lord of the family?" I asked him again, wondering whether this was really happening.

The dark figure simply nodded, a glow appearing in his eyes, conveying his determination to continue serving the True Lucifer to the end of his days.

I was taken aback by his words, but I knew what they meant. The knight had chosen to stand by my side, to fight for our family's honor. To bring renown to the Lucifer name once more. It was a powerful gesture, and one that I knew I could not take lightly.

Standing straight up, I approached the knight. "Rise," I said, "And let us renew the binding contract between us."

But how? That was the question in mind.

Sensing my turmoil and thoughts, the beautiful bejeweled ring on my finger, signifying my status as the Head of the Lucifer family, a memory was projected in my mind. A memory of my now grandfather, the first Lucifer, making the contract ages ago.

Understanding the procedure, I followed the same.

Flexing my finger, the one with the ring on it, I let my magic flow through the family crest. The words of the oath written in a language only the Head of the Lucifer House could recite, appeared in front of me, written in elegant script. I read the words aloud, my voice ringing out across the room as I recited the oath. The knight's magic reverberated against my own, the room feeling the accumulation of our magics.

As we finished the oath, a strange sensation washed over me. It was as if a wave of power was flowing through the room, and I could feel it enveloping us both. I looked down at the knight's armor, and I saw that our family crest was shining brightly upon it.

The knight stood up, his eyes ablaze with loyalty and power. His blade would be mine to command, from this day till the day he perishes. I could feel his jubilation on being a knight of the Lucifer once again.

But before I could respond, the world around me began to spin. I felt lightheaded, as if I was about to faint. The last thing I saw was the knight rushing towards me, his arms outstretched to catch me.

~ Later ~

Slowly stirring up from my unwanted slumber, I blinked my eyes open. Realizing that I likely had to be carried here by the knight made me blush a bit. I wasn't a kid anymore after all.

Speaking of the knight, I need to understand what he is and give him a name while I'm at it. Calling him 'knight' didn't feel right.

Getting up and leaving the comfort of the bed, I made my way towards the balcony, gazing at the lovely scenic view outside.

This felt nice.

Being able to enjoy a few moments of peace and quiet made the journey till now worthwhile, especially since I was now free of the influence of the Gremory.

I wonder, would they even realize that I have left that god forsaken place?

Eh. No point wondering about things that don't matter.

Taking a sigh of relief, a ting from my system alerted me of the fact that I had to check my interface after what had transpired in the last 24 hours.

Pulling up my stats, I was pleasantly surprised by the changes. Looks like being the heir to the king of Devils, does bring you much needed upgrades.

As I was admiring my stats, another ting caught my attention as the system's voice rang in my head.

Quest Completed!

[History Lessons]

By unlocking the oldest bloodline in the history of devils, the host has made a different choice than most would have in his place. Thus, a lesson from someone who would have done the same is warranted. Ordered by the Gods.

Objective – Follow the voice and discover secrets about this world and yourself.

Rewards – New name and freedom from the Gremory, full potential of the Lucifer Bloodline shall be unlocked, 1000 LP and a Random Skill Orb.

Failure – Get stuck with the Gremory for a long while till the host figures out how to escape. Full potential of the host's bloodline shall be locked away. Gods will frown upon you.

Accept Rewards?

Mentally accepting the reward, I saw my LP counter change as the figure now changed from zero to a thousand. Moments later, a black orb, the size of a baseball also appeared in my right hand. Its details more or less explained what it was.

Random Skill Orb – Quest Reward

Description: An orb which when crushed by the host, shall grant the being that crushes it with a random skill from the vast multiverse, without any additional costs.

Note: The skills could range from a simple toilet cleaning skill to a destructive universe ending skill. Depending on the user's luck, a skill shall be chosen. To receive the reward, crush the orb in your hand.

Yeah.

Doing exactly what the note said to do so I could obtain a skill, I saw the remains of the crushed orb vanish as the screen in front of me changed to display new information.

'Random Skill Orb Reward: Artiforge (A)

Description: a skill that allows the user to create an artifact they wish to by generating instinctive knowledge on how to engineer one using certain ingredients, rituals, and blueprints.

Note: the user should follow the measurements down to the last-minute detail otherwise the procedure may fail and the user shall be caught in an explosion that could potentially wipe them out.'

I was silent at first, simply basking in the new information and power I had been granted. The power to create any artifact I put my mind to? Any artifact… I put my… mind to.

The weight of the power that had been bestowed upon me began to sink in, and a smile tugged at the corners of my lips. Soon, that smile turned into a chuckle, and before I knew it, I burst into uncontrollable laughter.

The sheer absurdity of the skill I had been granted was overwhelming. Who would have thought that such an extraordinary ability, the power to create anything I desired with a mere thought, would be within my grasp? The possibilities that stretched before me were endless, limited only by the boundaries of my own imagination.

This skill was a game-changer, a gift that would reshape my destiny.

But it did have a massive drawback. Especially for someone who wouldn't be as precise when it comes to measuring things.

But not me.

The original Nicholas had years of experience in creating ritual circles, and precision was a key component of it.

However, I wasn't the kind of person to take a chance on this. I wished to be as thorough as possible. After all, I did not fancy being blown up.

As the echoes of my laughter faded, I took a deep breath, and spoke out loud.

"Hey system, create a skill."

~ 5 Years Later, 3rd Person POV ~

As the first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains, the room came to life. I slowly emerged from the realm of dreams, dreams that were once again filled with memories from the past; my eyes fluttering open to reveal the new captivating shade of iridescent that seemed to possess every known color in the universe. With an elegant grace, I rose from my bed, my tousled silver hair falling gently around my face.

But as I made a move to step out of the room, a firm grip wrapped around my wrist, halting my progress. I turned to face the source of the interruption and found myself locked in the gaze of an enchanting naked young woman. Kuroka, with her mesmerizing black tresses cascading down her back and hazel gold eyes reminiscent of a feline allure, pleaded with a hint of drowsiness in her voice.

"Nya Nic, don't go... Just ten more minutes," she implored, her voice a delicate murmur.

A stoic expression crossed my face as I regarded her with a mix of affection and determination.

"Kuroka, I have work to attend to," I replied, my tone steady and resolute.

Her pouty lips formed an adorable pout, though it carried an undertone of feigned sadness. "Nya, how mean..." she playfully protested.

Another voice from the other side of mine, soon joined the morning debate. Vali, a striking young woman with lustrous silver locks akin to mine but with light blue eyes that set her apart, chimed in.

"I don't understand why you keep trying, Kuroka. You know how he is," she remarked, her voice tinged with understanding and a bit of exasperation.

Vali's words resonated with the truth, and Kuroka sighed softly, a glimmer of hope still lingering in her eyes. "Perhaps one of these days, he'll stay," she mused, her voice trailing off.

The room itself spoke of refined elegance. Golden sunlight bathed the walls adorned with tapestries depicting ancient tales of heroes and legends. The faint scent of jasmine hung in the air, mingling with the warmth of polished ebony furniture. Books, ancient tomes, magical texts that contained knowledge lost to time, neatly arranged on shelves, hinted at a thirst for knowledge and adventure.

I glanced at the clock on the wall, aware of the responsibilities awaiting me outside these walls. As much as I cherished the presence of Kuroka and Vali, and as tempting as it was to surrender to their charms and the allure of a few more moments of respite, my duty called.

I had a job to take care of.

With a determined gaze, I gently freed my wrist from Kuroka's grasp, the spark of affection still evident in my eyes. "Thank you for understanding, Kuroka, Vali," I said, my voice filled with a mix of gratitude and determination.

Kuroka's expression softened, and she offered a warm smile, her eyes filled with a blend of admiration and longing. "Take care, Nic," she murmured softly, a heartfelt wish whispered on parted lips.

Vali nodded, her own eyes reflecting a profound understanding. "Remember, you're not alone in this journey, Nic. We're here for you," she assured me, her voice laced with unwavering support.

With a loving smile, I leaned down, capturing the essence of the moment in a gentle kiss. My lips caressed Kuroka's with a mixture of adoration and gratitude, savoring the warmth that radiated from her as our connection deepened. A soft whine escaped her, carrying with it the unspoken longing and affection we shared, along with a need for more.

Turning my attention to Vali, I pressed my lips against hers, feeling the spark of passion ignite between us. The world around us faded into insignificance, leaving only the taste of her on my lips and the intoxicating magic that enveloped us.

In that single moment, as our kisses lingered, I silently conveyed my love and appreciation for the unwavering support they had bestowed upon me. It was a testament to the deep connection we shared. I vowed to protect them, and in turn they have always loved and supported me. For this brief moment, I forgot about my duties and just enjoyed the presence of the two women.

Breaking the kiss, I gave the two of them a final smile before getting out of the bed, as I made my way outside.

Leaving the room behind, I embarked on the path that destiny had carved for me.

Coming across a mirror in the hallway, I briefly stopped to admire the changes these last few years had brought to my physical appearance. Standing now at 6'3, I have attained a lot more muscle, and a fair bit of scars from my regular sparring sessions with Azazel, Shemazahai and Ygris (The Knight).

Coming across the portrait of Lilith and Lucifer in the hallway as I made my way towards my lab, I looked at it with slight melancholy in my eyes. But a single word came out of my mouth, filled with determination and hope.

"Soon."

Moments later, I walked into my own personal lab. The lab that had been designed for me by Azazel personally. It contained everything a mad scientist could ask for. Frankenstein would wet himself if he stepped foot in it.

It's been years now, but stepping into my private laboratory always felt like entering a realm where science and magic converged in perfect harmony. The room buzzed with an electric energy, a symphony of whirring machines and soft hums of power. Gleaming stainless-steel surfaces reflected the soft glow of meticulously arranged glassware and intricate lab equipment.

Glass cabinets adorned the walls, showcasing an array of artifacts. Ritualistic relics from forgotten civilizations held an air of mystique, their intricate engravings whispering tales of forgotten rituals and arcane knowledge. The air was laced with the scent of alchemical concoctions, a blend of herbal essences, and the faint tinge of metal.

Intricate diagrams adorned chalkboards, their intricate lines and symbols capturing the essence of scientific exploration. Workbenches were meticulously organized, laden with precision instruments, microscopes, and delicate tools, awaiting their next purposeful touch. Nearby, a bookshelf overflowed with ancient tomes and scientific journals, their pages brimming with knowledge waiting to be unlocked.

This was my sanctuary, my place of creation and innovation. The place where I would finally succeed in the quest granted by my ancestor.

"Aura," I called out, stepping towards the chalkboard, focusing on an equation at the base of it. An equation I was struggling to crack for a week now.

"Yes, sir," a voice sounded out of nowhere. This was my first creation in this world using Artiforge. Aura. To others, she was an AI that would be considered a revolutionary invention. To me however, she was my system.

Yes, exactly.

Using Artiforge, I had successfully found a way to bring my system into the real world, designing a matrix so complex that she would now be able to have a physical presence here, develop feelings, thoughts and become truly sentient. While initially I had been pretty against a sentient system, but spending years alone had made me crave something more human. At least until Kuroka and Vali had arrived.

But that wasn't all Aura was now capable of. She learned information about this world, the people living in it, regardless of their species and pantheon at an inhuman pace. And the only way that was possible was by hooking her up to a platform like the Internet. And what is the supernatural equivalent of the Internet?

The Big G's system of course.

It had been a tedious process, one that would rather not go through with again. Since it definitely involved me breaking into a lot of churches throughout the world. But it had been an enlightening experience. One that helped me get an idea of how I can locate Lilith.

You see, the Big G's system is connected to the churches and a miniscule amount of his power hovers within the four walls of the building. This used to be a lot during his lifetime, but after his death, it had diminished significantly. This energy is the reason people felt safe and welcomed when the entered the church premises.

This energy carries trace amounts of another type of energy. An energy that runs through every member of the Lucifer House. The energy that once embodied the Celestials.

Since Big G was born due to the final sparks of Celestial Energy, his body must be carrying this energy as well. And so would his creations. Like Sacred Gears. Angels. The True Dragon God of Apocalypse, Great Red.

But another being was created by a Celestial. The last celestial to be alive.

Lilith.

The artifact I was trying to create would function much like a sacred gear. A sacred gear that could locate not only other sacred gears, but also other beings that carried the energy of the celestials.

There was only one obstacle standing in my way.

The equation before me seemed insurmountable, its complexity mocking my efforts to decipher its secrets. This equation held the key, the missing piece to create the artifact I desperately needed, but it eluded me, like a phantom in the depths of my mind.

Sighing deeply, I gazed at the board equation with frustration clear on my face. while Artiforge did give me an idea on how to create the artifact, the bulk of the work still needed to be done manually. Thankfully, my new skill, Mad Scientist came handy when it comes to this.

"Is there anything I can assist you with, Master?" she inquired, her soothing voice resonating through the room.

I leaned back in my chair, running a hand through my hair, feeling a surge of determination mingled with desperation. "Aura, I'm stuck on this equation. It's the final hurdle, the key to creating the artifact we need. I've tried every approach, every formula, but the solution eludes me."

"Let's analyse the equation together once again, Master," she suggested, her voice tinged with confidence. "Perhaps a fresh perspective will uncover a hidden pathway."

So, once again, we dissected the equation together, scrutinizing each term and variable, searching for the elusive connection that would unlock its secrets. We exchanged ideas and theories, each thought building upon the other, weaving a web of possibilities.

As the minutes turned into hours, we explored numerous avenues, pouring over countless formulas and theorems. The room became a flurry of holographic projections and floating equations, a testament to our relentless pursuit of knowledge.

Suddenly, a glimmer of inspiration sparked within me. "Wait... what if we introduce a quantum coefficient here?" I suggested, pointing at a specific part of the equation.

Aura's eyes widened with excitement as she processed the implications. "Yes, that could create a parallel computational path, allowing us to transcend the limitations of classical methods," she exclaimed.

Together, we delved deeper into this new approach, refining the equation with the quantum coefficient. Each adjustment brought us closer to the solution, the pieces of the puzzle finally falling into place. The room filled with an electric energy, the air alive with the anticipation of triumph.

And then, it happened. The equation transformed before our eyes, evolving into an elegant representation of the artifact's creation. The solution was within our grasp, a culmination of our shared knowledge and hard work.

A triumphant smile crept across my face as I exclaimed, "Aura, you've done it! We've cracked the equation," my voice filled with a mix of joy and relief.

"It was a team effort, Master. Our combined ingenuity led us to this breakthrough," she responded, her voice resonating with accomplishment, pride and satisfaction.

Finally, after 3 years of diligently pursuing a way to create this device, a device that would help me attain my goal, it had all paid off. I was beyond happy right now. My body filled with adrenaline, and my mind set on my next steps.

"Aura," I spoke up, a grin on my face. "Enter hardware mode."

"Affirmative," she responded, her tone much more professional this time around. "Creation process shall take approximately 67 hours, 32 minutes, 8 seconds and 35 milliseconds. Until then, might I suggest spending time with Miss Kuroka here."

"Hmm, thank you Aura. At least someone cares about me, nya~" a voice answered from the door. Soon enough, he felt slender arms wrap around his torso, as the bust of the dark-haired cat girl pressed into his back, her head nuzzling against his neck. "Is it done, nya~?"

I leaned back into her, the feel of her soft, ample tits making me feel more at ease than before. Boobs really were the best creation of the Celestials.

"Yes. After 3 years of pouring all my free time into this, it's finally done. I will be able to bring Lilith home soon."

"Sooooo… you can relax now, nya~? Maybe with a naughty kitten that's been feeling neglected recently~?" she spoke, a sultry tone lacing her voice.

You should be careful what you wish for darling.

~ Lemon Alert (Third Person POV) ~

With a simple burst of magic, the table in front of Nicholas was cleared off all the notes, books and everything else that lay on it. Grabbing his sultry neko's arm, he pulled her right in front of him as he placed her on the table. A cute 'eep' leaving her mouth, due to his sudden boldness.

Gripping her thighs with possessiveness, Nicholas leaned forward to smash his lips against hers. She responded immediately to the kiss, meeting his tongue with her own in a duel.

While the two were engaged in their battle of dominance, one of his hands moved across her thighs and gripped the busty rear of the nekoshou. Kuroka moaned into the kiss as she felt the rough hand of her lover squeeze her ass with a beast-like ferocity.

He held the young devil there and gave her a passionate kiss as his tongue snaked out of his mouth and into hers. He then reached up to grasp a hold of Kuroka's thick, dark hair. She melted into his chest at once, reaching up to rip at his shirt while she let him control her mouth with his tongue. Kuroka was left puzzled and dizzy as he drew back almost a minute later. Her eyes glazed over.

"Nic, please …," she moaned. "It's starting to hurt. I need it now," a pleading whine escaped her lips. Nicholas pulled his lips away from her neck.

"Wait for it. Needy slut," he ordered, taking his hand off her ass, leading her to let out a disappointing whine, using it to undo his trousers, letting his erection free, making Kuroka drool at her finally getting what she wanted. They had fucked before, but while the other times had been gentler and loving since both of them had been awkward virgins, this time Nicholas was giving her exactly what she needed. A pounding to remember. The degrading jab, instead of making her feel like a whore, had worked instead to make her already moistened valley to become flooded.

"Looks like someone likes being ordered around," he asked with a smirk, as his knee rubbed itself against her pussy, the friction making the neko mewl in pleasure and need. Soon her hips began moving on their own as she began dry humping the knee of her savior and lover.

Using his hand to grip her kimono by the shoulder, her tits begging to be let out in the open, he dragged the flushed girl straight to his dick.

They were now face to face with one other, him gazing down at her while she was gazing at his cock. After another little interval, Nicholas noticed Kuroka was still sneaking looks up at his face.

Everything clicked into place at once, and a realization became clear to him. Kuroka blushed but didn't object as Nicholas reached out and grabbed a handful of her hair, hoping and thinking he was correct. He then pulled her head forward and rubbed his cockhead all over her lips.

"Open up and sucking it you slut."

The moment Kuroka heard it, she immediately obeyed, her mouth gaping open as she took him in.

When Kuroka opened her mouth, her tongue wrapped around the tender tip and her full lips encircled the bulging head of his cock. Her cheeks hollowed as she took a deep breath, and Harry's cock jumped as she did. Her hand lightly caressed his length. He pushed his hips forward while reaching out to hold the top of her head and continued to feed more of his cock into the moist heat of her mouth. He thrust his hips back and forth, losing all self-control as he fucked her face, her glistening, pink lips spreading wide over his girth.

Her eyes started to water and saliva trickled from her bottom lip as the head of his cock bumped against the back of her lips with each thrust. a moist sucking noise escaped from the back of her throat. Nicholas observed his thick shaft slipping between her swollen lips as he felt himself swiftly reaching his peak.

Nicholas moved his hands away from her hair as she dipped even farther down his length. The busty nekoshou continued to bob up and down the length of his cock till he finally groaned in resignation and pleasure. Kuroka quickly pulled back until only a few inches of his prick remained in her mouth. As Nicholas approached his end and fired a massive amount of cumshot directly into her mouth, he got to feel Kuroka's neck tremble as she sucked in every last bit of his seed.

With renewed vigor, soon Kuroka shifted backwards on the desk and stretched her legs widely. She reached down and spread her pink, moist wide, revealing to him the full extent of her tight pussy that had become wet from her excitement.

"Please, fuck me, 'Nic~." She begged in a rough, raspy voice. "I need it, now nya!"

Nicholas approached her and positioned his hard cock at her door, but he held off on approaching her right immediately. He was eager to hear her pleading in her seductive voice. He reached out and tightly squeezed her swollen breasts in his hands. With another declaration of how much she wanted him to mess her up, her wish was granted soon.

Nicholas finally lost all control and drove his entire length into her in one stroke, smacking his pelvis against hers with a wet slap. With her tight walls trembling around his shaft in response to the unexpected penetration, Kuroka flung her head back and let out a loud, wanton moan. With the buildup from fucking her throat, Nicholas knew he wouldn't be able to hold back for very long. He gave her a hard, quick fuck as Kuroka screamed in ecstasy and he groaned in delight as their bodies brushed against one another.

Using her tits as handles to fuck her harder, Nicholas pounded his cock into and out of her small, moist cunt at a rapid speed. As he crashed into her, her grasping pussy's hot walls massaged his stiff length, causing her to let out sensual gasps and moans almost nonstop. Nicholas groaned as he sensed his climax drawing near, panting with effort as he drove his hips forcefully and quickly. His climax was just a hair's breadth away as the head of his cock grew larger and stretched her walls a little bit farther.

Nicholas gripped her hard, pink nipples just before he came, pinching them firmly while dragging them up and stretching her tits upward. As cum shot out of the head, shooting violently on her spasming walls, his cock gave a tremendous jolt. As he pulled his hips forward in sync with the pulses of his cock, driving his cock as deep as possible, her hands clutched at the edge of the desk, her mouth opening in a silent scream, and her body quivering beneath his.

Kuroka had never experienced anything like it. She now understood why devils were creatures of lust. Yes, she had been in heat during her mating season before, but being utterly pounded into by her lover? Nothing could top that feeling. Snuggling against his body, she slowly felt her body drift into the realm of Morpheus. She was hooked now to his touch, and if Nic thought he could go work in his lab 18 hours a day without her being there to worship his cock, he would be in for a nice surprise.

~ Lemon Over, 3 Days Later ~

~ Nicholas POV ~

Standing once again in my lab, I awaited the word of my trusted assistant. The device had finally been completed, and even the test runs and diagnosis run by Aura brought nothing but positive results.

"Master, the device is operational and functioning at 100% capacity. We can use it for our purpose now," her voice sounded out, gaining a nod from me as I admired the revolutionary invention right in front of me.

At first impression, this small device resembles a sleek, modern smartphone in my hand. Its smooth, polished surface and slender shape easily fool others into thinking it's a cutting-edge device. However, upon closer investigation, one would notice that it has a distinct feature—it resembles a portable hard drive. It has a quality feel due to its lightweight yet strong casing.

The technology serves as a bridge between the human world and the divine realm, providing access to the complicated system of the God of the Bible. Its core contains advanced technology capable of identifying and analysing the common source of energy found in all creations brought to life using Celestial Energy. This energy signature, known as the divine essence, links everything in existence, from atoms to galaxies. Since the Celestials were in fact the race that brought the universe to life as we know it.

"Hmm, I shall call it… Celestial Nexus Tracker," I proclaimed with a proud tone, my chest puffed with narcissism.

"Master, your naming sense is as great as ever," the sarcastic voice of Aura pierced my heart.

The device comes to life with the press of a button, illuminating the interface with a soft, glowing display. The holographic map appears in front of my eyes, revealing an enthralling visual portrayal of the divine energy network. Vibrant blue lines of energy entangle and vibrate, generating an intricate web that reflects the interwoven supernatural realms.

The device may use this map to find and identify additional devices and people who emit energy signatures that resonate with the same heavenly essence. It functions as a beacon, directing the user to individuals who have the same divine source. This amazing function allows the user to find people whose energy is similar to their own.

As soon as the device sprang to life, red spots begin appearing throughout the supernatural realm. A heavy concentration of it situated right above the human realm. That indicated Heaven. The Silver City where Angels lived and human souls (who practiced Christianity while alive) that had lived a good life abiding by the rules set out by the Big G.

Navigating through the holographic map is a seamless experience, thanks to the device's intuitive user interface. Pinching and swiping gestures allow me to zoom in and out of the map, exploring various regions and pinpointing specific energy signatures. The device provides detailed information about each detected source, including their approximate location and unique energy patterns.

Earth, the realm of the humans, was the next area where red spots appeared. Admittedly, they were much much less in number, scattered across the globe. Sacred Gears. Awakened and dormant. If any supernatural being saw this right now, they would let me fuck all the ladies their pantheon had to offer for a chance to get a try at this.

But while this was all amazing, it was not what I was looking for at the moment.

"Aura, search for abnormal locations where the markers might appear. And it seems like spots indicating Sacred Gears and churches are admittedly less bright than the ones that indicate the location of angles. Search for spots of similar brightness, but look for them in supernatural realms that we might not expect them to be in," I commanded, letting Aura take the drivers seat and reduce the time it would take for me to look through them all.

"Affirmative. Scanning," her voice resonated around me. Barely a minute must have passed, before she spoke up again. "Master, a possible location has been discovered. Chances of it being Lady Lilith are 99.999%."

"Where?" the odds were pretty solid after all.

"The Underworld, my lord. But, to be precise, in the section governed by Lord Hades."

...

"What the absolute fuck is going on?!"

~ An Hour Later ~

Ever heard of suicide missions?

Yeah, the ones where you are guaranteed to not come back alive from?

Like the biggest idiot in the supernatural world, I am embarking on one once again with nothing but emergency escape scenarios, my powers and my faith in Lady Luck.

Just like I did four years ago.

People learn from their mistakes. I prefer making even bigger ones.

Which is why, right now I am creeping towards the edge of the Underworld, the place where the devils live, and the section of the Underworld where Hades, the Greek God of Death and riches and the literal ruler of half of the Underworld resides.

"Master, are you sure about this course of action? We could instead send out one of them? It would be safer that way."

"I know, Aura. But they are still too unstable at the moment. Their power is nothing to scoff at but there is a chance where they may rebel and we would have a huge problem on our hands. Something that would catastrophic for the Underworld. We can't let that happen now."

"But-"

"Enough, Aura," I declared, putting an end to this argument. "I am going in. Monitor my surroundings once I disable my mana. Let's hope my level of Diminished Presence is strong enough for this."

"Understood, Master," her voice replied, concern and reluctance shining through her tone.

Before I ventured into the literal dominion of death, my mind once again tried to make sense of the plan I had cooked up.

I would disable my mana by channeling my family magic around my body like a layer of skin. In this state, I cannot use any other offensive magic, which means I would be utterly useless in a one-on-one battle. I would activate Diminished Presence and disillusion myself to the best of my ability as I traverse the underworld. I wouldn't have to worry about being discovered since my face is covered with a hood, only my eyes visible.

Aura, who is connected to a pair of transparent lenses I have in my eyes that function like Iron Man's helmet, would guide me through the underworld and hopefully, reach Lilith before it brings any attention to me. Once I find her, I would have to crush an orb like object in my hand that has been stored with a shit ton of mana, allowing me to cross the borders of the Underworld and breach the wards without alerting everyone of Hades' minions and safely return to the estate.

Simple enough, right?

Well, let's get to it. I don't want to stay here a second longer than necessary.

Cautiously making my way through the dark and treacherous expanse of the Underworld, I nervously trudged along the path in front of me. In the distance, the cacophony of the damned could be heard clearly. Their wails and cries pleading for mercy and wishing for peace made bile rise up in my throat.

Soon, I was in, what I assume, was the main districts of the Underworld, grand structures made of obsidian and lit with Greek fire could be seen all around me. Fire and brimstone, two words that had been heavily associated with the Underworld. I could finally see why that was the case.

Ghostly apparitions flitted through the shadows, shimmering in an unsettling dance. The ground beneath my feet felt cold and solid, but there was a nagging feeling of unease, as if the realm itself was alive and watching my every move.

The underworld's scenery was a mix of frightening panoramas and surreal landscapes, no matter how haunting they looked. I traversed winding paths that led me through desolate plains, where skeletal trees stood like sentinels, their twisted branches reaching toward the starless sky. As Aura's voice guided me towards the energy source that was hopefully Lilith, I went deeper into the caves situated near the, if the sign boards here were to be believed, Fields of Asphodel, a place for souls who lived an indifferent and ordinary life, where phosphorescent mushrooms shed an eerie glow on the walls, illuminating strange rock formations and old carvings of lost souls and fantastical animals.

"Master, beyond these fields lies Elysium to the West, the Judgement Pavilion to the South, and the Palace of Lord Hades is North of here. The energy source is becoming brighter as you move towards the Palace."

"Fuck," I cursed. If by any chance I had to break into his palace, I am pretty sure this would be the end of the line for me.

As I stood at the threshold of Hades' realm, a chill ran down my spine, and a sense of awe mixed with trepidation enveloped me. The air seemed to grow heavier, laden with an indescribable aura of power and darkness. The sight before me was both magnificent and terrifying, a testament to the might and authority of the underworld's ruler.

Hades' Palace was a sprawling kingdom of shadows, stretching endlessly into the abyss. The very ground beneath my feet appeared to be made of obsidian, reflecting the faint glow of ghostly flames that flickered throughout the cavernous halls. The architecture was grand and imposing, with towering columns adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes of mythical creatures and the fates of lost souls.

The air was thick with an otherworldly stillness, broken only by the distant echoes of mournful cries and the haunting whispers of the damned. It felt as if time itself had slowed within these hallowed halls, the weight of eternity pressing upon every corner of this vast underworld.

In the distance, the rustling of a river could be heard. The Styx. One of the five sacred rivers running through the Underworld. Oaths made by this river brings something 'worse than death' to the oath bearer if not fulfilled. The river that granted Achilles his greatest blessing and curse.

'Fuck. Looks like I'll have to break into the palace.'

With my mind set, I took a deep breath and had just taken a step forward when Aura's voice broke through.

"Master, wait! The energy source is not just a single one. It's split into 3 of them now. This means you are close to Lady Lilith. As for the other two sources, at the moment they are smaller than the ones we registered in Heaven. Meaning they could be Sacred Gears. The location is not Hades' Palace. It is exactly 62 kilometers North-East of it."

Oh, thank fuck.

Moving towards my destination, my nervousness was being overshadowed by my excitement. No need to battle anyone, no gods fucking me over, no need for any fighting. What a peaceful mission.

Quest Alert!

I just had to open my fucking mouth.

What could it possibly be now.

Really? Just when I was so close to completing this damn thing, you spring this on me? Fuck you!

Grumbling to myself, I continued down the path laid out by Aura in front of me. According to her, the two other signals that had been located by the Celestial Nexus Tracker, were present inside the palace. But the other larger one was located where I was headed.

Quickly making my way towards it, I came right in front of a large warehouse like structure. The imposing building resembled the rest of the structures in the Underworld with its gothic exterior and haunting vista. Aura alerted me that the signal was brightly emanating from the building in front of me. This was the place.

The Styx flowed nearby, the river's surface shimmered with an ethereal haze, its depths concealed by an impenetrable mist. The air around it carried a sense of foreboding, a warning of the consequences that awaited those who dared to touch its cursed waters. But there was something else that was making me feel a deep sense of unease.

Turning my head, I looked beyond the structure, further away from the banks of the Styx, at the edge of the Underworld. Yes, that is where I could feel this purgatorial sense of doom came from.

A shiver coursed through my spine as I realized what it was, my gaze fixated on the abyss that sprawled before me. An eerie stillness hung in the air. There, right before my eyes, lay the entrance to Tartarus, a place of unfathomable darkness and torment. Waves of unease washed over me, as if the very essence of evil emanated from the depths below. The sheer malevolence that resonated from the gateway filled my being with a sense of foreboding.

Just like this section had Tartarus, the section where the devils lived, had Cocytus. My ancestor, from my Gremory side, had ventured there. And let's just say I am glad I don't have to go anywhere near there for now.

Turning my head away from the realm where the monsters from Greek Mythology went to reform, I turned my head towards the building I had to break into. Steeling my nerves, resolution settled in my mind as I made my way towards the entrance.

The next step of the plan was where the danger actually began. Dispelling my disillusionment and deactivating the layer of Demonic Radiance surrounding my body, I focused my senses ahead, wanting to get an idea of how many opponents I would be facing inside.

'Hmm!?' I exclaimed in my mind. 'Only three guards? Each with Upper High-Class levels of strength. Is Hades that confident that no one would locate her here?'

For many moments my mind was convinced this was a trap. After all, if Hades indeed have Lilith captive here, there would be a political shitstorm over the heads of the Olympian Gods. Due to his motives, the entire Greek Pantheon might end up going to war. Such hubris was bound to be questioned, even if it regarded a literal god in question.

But in hindsight it did make sense. No one ever entered Hades' realm, unless it was for a diplomatic mission. Even if they did, most Grim Reapers and minions of the Greek God of the Dead were Ultimate Class and above in strength. And why would Hades have any reason to devilnap Lilith? Things were simultaneously making sense and becoming even more absurd.

I could not waste any more time thinking about this. I needed to move fast and get this shit done for. Hades has complete control over this part of the Underworld. It would not be out of the question if he could completely manipulate the area here.

Quietly shuffling through the door, I simply disillusioned myself this time and navigated through the building. Once inside, it became more and more likely that he must have held Lilith here. The building seemed to be a large laboratory, many vials of blood and quite a few corpses, stored in some kind of chamber filled with a green serum, belonging to different pantheons. Devils, Fallen, Angels, Youkai and even Demi-Gods were a part of the bastard's grand collection.

Making my way further into the lab, I came across a door which according to Aura, could possibly be the location of what we were looking for. The red spot on the tracker had turned as bright as the Sun near this door, something which it had not done anywhere else in the building.

Using my skill, X-Ray, I breached the ward wall and began spying on the conversation going on inside. From the looks of it, there were 3 Grim reapers there, each with their signature scythe in hand. They seemed to be in a deep discussion regarding something Hades did. But that was not what had my attention.

Just beyond the three idiots, in a pod similar to the one throughout the building, lay the unmoving, comatose body of one of the most beautiful woman I had ever laid my eyes on. She looked quite malnourished, yet even that could not take her beauty away from him. My rage was running wild within me. The part of me that had inherited the will of my ancestor, and my own obligation and duty towards my family, made me feel apoplectic.

They wanted me to give Hades a nice surprise? He sure as hell is getting one now.

"Shadow Clones," I called out quietly, allowing 5 lookalikes of me to spawn from the ground up through my shadow. "Rob the place clean, even the corpses, and dump everything in the pocket dimension. Hades will never know what hit him."

They nodded at my order and swiftly shuffled out of there, their job clear. I did not have to wait long for them to return, each of them having completed the task assigned to them.

Now, it was my turn.

Utilizing Slipstream, I moved into the far end of the room, away from the 3 Grim Reapers, silent as the grave. The 3 were still caught up in their own conversation, not even reacting to my presence in the room. This showed just how much I had honed my skill, Diminished Presence.

I crouched silently in the shadows, my senses honed, ready to strike. My enemies were unaware of the impending storm about to befall them. With a swift and calculated move, I unleashed the storm of magic within me. Magic circles materialized in the air; the sigil of the Lucifer displayed prominently.

Pushing my bloodline magic through the circle, weapons began appearing throughout the room, a black and gold miasma constructing them. No matter how many times I used this move, it never ceased to excite me. One of the circles erected a barrier around Lilith, protecting her from the incoming massacre.

The three of them finally caught on that something was wrong, and mobilized their weapons, their own power being unleashed in response to mine. But there was nothing they could do now. The Demonic Radiance of the Morningstar was the power that had allowed Lucifer to go against the God of the Bible and be considered one of the strongest beings in the world when he was alive. While I did lack his level of proficiency in utilizing this power, against these chumps I was good to go.

"Intruder!" one of them screamed. Surprise, surprise motherfucker.

What followed was a one-sided slaughter, my opponents caught off guard by the onslaught of magical weapons. Swift strikes and evasive manoeuvres danced in perfect harmony as I deftly dispatched my foes, each blow landing with deadly precision. Their attempts to retaliate were futile against my mastery of magic and the devastating force of my power.

Yet, amidst the chaos, one of them managed to summon a surge of energy, firing it directly at a section of the wall, causing the wards to light up along with a number of magic circles on the wall. With a surge of power, the symbol glowed ominously, sending ripples of alarm throughout the underworld. The message had been sent, alerting the entirety of this dark domain to my presence.

"Crap!"

Time seemed to slow as the weight of the situation settled upon me. I knew I had to act swiftly, to finish this battle before a legion of enemies descended upon me., Pushing more of my magic out, a few more circles materialized in the lab, overwhelming the three.

Finally, with a thunderous clash, the last enemy fell, their defeat echoing through the chamber. Elation soared in my heart, but I knew this was only a fleeting respite. The underworld now knew of my presence, and an entire battalion of beings stronger than me would soon be here. And if the rapidly approaching ocean of magical power was any indicator, Hades himself was making his way here.

Dispelling the barrier that protected Lilith, I swiftly arrived by her side.

"Master, there is no time left. You have exactly 7 seconds to escape. Take her along with the pod. If there are any complications, we will figure out a way to deal with it later," Aura's voice screamed in my head.

Yeah, she was right. Fuck this shit. Bringing the orb out of my pocket dimension, I placed a hand on Lilith's pod and disappeared out of Hades' realm. But not before dropping a surprise for the skeletal motherfucker.

~ With Hades ~

Never in the eons he had existed for, had he thought this would happen. Someone had invaded the Underworld. HIS Underworld. Right under HIS nose. And the damage they had caused?

The little bastard had destroyed the lab he used to hold Lilith completely.

Not a trace of it remained. Had he been merely Satan Class in strength, that explosion could have possibly injured him. It had taken out two of his weaker Grim Reapers.

Whoever had done it would pay for it a thousand-fold.

And that was exactly what he was about to find out. What the intruder had not realised was that while in hubris he had only posted a few guards there, but he had installed a safety net just in case. The wards in the room guarding Lilith recorded every piece visual that occurred in that room.

For the past 10 minutes he watched his subordinates' joke around instead of doing their job, his ire rising by the minute. And then he saw it. A slight disturbance near the far end of the room.

There was the mystery intruder.

A strong cloaking spells? Must be quite strong if not one of them could sense him. And then he made his move. A move that sent chills down his spine.

The magic circles began appearing. The magic circle of the Lucifer house.

How was this possible?

But the more he watched the surer he became. The fact that this intruder could use that accursed bloodline magic was indicator enough with whom he was dealing with. However, the thing that scared him the most came after that.

The eyes.

Those same eyes that seemed to hold every color in the cosmos, stared right at him, the rest of his face obscured by a simple hood.

This was a big problem. A problem that could end up being the doom of a lot of his allies and him.

With a snap of his fingers, a magic circle erupted around his ear. A communication circle, ringing someone who would want to know about this just as much as him.

"Moshi-moshi, Hades-chan! Did you miss me?" a child-like, retarded voice could be heard from the other end. A voice that annoyed him to no end.

"Rizevim… we have a problem."
