As the king of a sovereign state, an heir was expected of him yet he couldn't bear one and to think he married a young girl as a wife baffled him which had him questioning himself and to having Mistresses and side consort yet none bore him a child just as his queen.
Although it worries the royal household but not Prince fabian who couldn't wait for him to die to relinquish the throne to him. but Cyprian was untouchable with the supernatural at his command and his million knights. Thus he had to wait and act secretly.
Queen Shamira was sat at the royal library reading about the supernatural as many have decided to put it into writing. She read books about werewolves, vampires, fairy, fae folks, Lycans, mermaids, witches, sorcerers, and many more who were once at the late king's lair, many have gone extinct as Darius had made it a priority to eliminate them during wars and ambushes leaving a few at his mercy.
Like any other day, she closed the book then sighed ready for her daily routine.
Without guards or servants she climbed the hills walking slowly with her gown and dress sweeping the floor, though tired, she kept walking until she reached solovan the slavery ground. A place where the Supernaturals lived.
She watched them in dirty smelling clothes ready for their destination either the fields, mines, or the merchant's houses. The women sew clothes and make weapons while the men were laborers even fairies couldn't fly anymore. The life in them drained with just a decree from Cyprian.
They must have smelled her presence as most of them looked in her direction and growled at her.
They wanted to tear her apart or according to the vamps drain her blood yet they knew the consequences of their actions.
Cyprian will have an excuse to eliminate them all thus they all kelt down to acknowledge her.
She waved at them to stand up but they couldn't hear her. she decided to give it a rest then leave instead if only they knew she didn't enjoy being worshipped. Cyprian was the king.
So she returned to her chambers in a change of clothes to do what she does best.
She was brought up to act like a queen, Walk like one, talk like one, and most importantly look like one. Queen Shamira had the kind of beauty that can bring any man to his knees with just a glance. A sneak peek and it worked on King Cyprian when she was growing up as his betrothed perhaps he got used to it now he can't stand the mere sight of her because she couldn't bear him a child, not even a miscarriage
Queen Shamira wasn't bothered as she could picture her son taking over Cyprian's treacherous ways as he did his father Darius.
The door to stables was pushed open as she stepped in to get her horse. the stable men bowed in respect giving way for her to pass. Apparently, she rode off with only one place in mind the market where she purchased foodstuff, clothes, and shoes like every other day. That was the least she could do for the Supernaturals.
"You know what to do Ursula, be careful. I have somewhere to be" she tells her most trusted maid.
"You're not coming with me? Shamira scoffed relacing her boots "when do I ever? That had Ursula quiet thus she rode into the outskirt of cantonia, the place she was robbed Affin.
After dismounting from her horse, she decided to Walk around the city with a black veil over her head revealing only her blue pair of eyes.
Affin was a lively city but she noticed it had a maximum of local merchants and beggars and to think it had leppers too worried her, Cyprian had the money, he should provide a health facility for them perhaps a clinic.
A little girl brought her out of the trance tugging on her bulgy pants thus she crouched by her side ruffling her hair"what a cutie, what is it? the little girl gave her the puppy eyes as she stood up to decipher what she wanted, a man bumped into her, as delicate as she was, she fell on her butt. realizing they stole her money again, had her maintaining the sitting position thus giving the little girl an apologetic look but the smart kid pointed to her necklace which intrigued her but gave it to her anyway.
"It's wrong to steal, go home to your mother" the little girl felt sad but left snugly thus she looked around for the last time, yup they needed it.
Calloused hands were stretched forward thus she looked at it then at the two pairs of shoes standing before her. Her eyes lingered from his legs to his thighs, torso, chest and finally met his emerald eyes and sneered. Is that even possible?. His eyes were emerald green and amber color.
"Need a hand ?, He offered yet she didn't take it instead locked gaze with him, which didn't surprise him at first. Apparently, he noticed the familiar blue eyes and recalled her encounter the last time and retracted his hands which she was about to take then she gave it a rest.
"Oops sorry " he apologized helping her up. He didn't fail to notice the sparks surging through his veins when he touched her soft delicate hands, the look on her face was proof that she did as well.
" Micheal, just the man I was looking for " came the voice of Asher, the merchant son. "Uhnn not again " it wasn't because he was scared of him but the thirst for blood had intensified it thus he sprinted off while Shamira shrugged...
' you are one of them right'? No kidding you are coming with me" Asher yelled dragging Shamira along as she tried explaining her encounter with Michael but he has been fooled a thousand times to listen to her. They had recruits every day.
" I'm holding unto you till he returns what his minions stole from me " he revealed pushing her into his shop while she looked amazed like it was a dream. it was the first time she was been manhandled.
"Who? I've told you that I don't know him," she tells him for the umpteenth time. "and I don't believe you feisty, why are you covering your face? do you have a huge scar across your face? Someone you stole from gave it to you I guess " she scrunched her face in terror then it occurred to her that she was on the outskirts of Cantonia so no one recognized her "let's see if it suits you little thief" he said with eyes scrutinizing her and sighed nope she wasn't little.
