Wings are for angels as well as the supernatural. Was Michael one of them? Has he known all this time? It explains his devotion to them. She leaned back on the chair and sighed heavily. This wasn't what she expected. Since Michael showed up in her life she has forgotten about her barrenness and now that she knew who he was. She doubt she wanted anything to do with him.

Humans and the supernatural were not compatible especially vampires. No wonder she hasn't missed a period since they started sleeping together but there were matters she needed to see to including protecting the citizens of Verdes.

With or without the barrier Verdes was in danger. If Michael could leave with it on then there was a problem. Will she risk his life by revealing his secret to Cyprian? Even if she did will Cyprian be able to protect them? She doesn't trust him and he didn't bother to tell her the truth.
