Rusting Hysteria

Rusting Hysteria is an extension of Spirit Forge through the use of Ho's breathing technique.

Ho is a method of breathing to turn Vulcan's own body into a weapon, increasing his destructive power would make each attack at least 2.5x stronger. A way of augmenting his body far beyond its limits through his unique energy.

The only drawback is that his Spirit Energy would deplete completely in ten minutes without even using any attacks, just standing still...

For the final time, Vulcan prepares himself to open his eyes.

His eyes twitch, then he yells:

"OPEN!"

{Spirit Forge Technique: Rusting Hysteria}

...

After opening his eyes, Spirit Energy starts to envelop Vulcan's body like a cocoon.

Unlike the usual color, which is blue with a dark black outline, the color of his Spirit Energy is completely black.

Not only is the black aura different from usual, but it seems like a sporadic display of lightning is being radiated from Vulcan's fists...

In a state of complete blankness, Vulcan can use his unconsciousness to guide his actions, but it still can't let him be completely aware.

Vulcan's pupils seemingly disappeared, and his eyes are completely white with red, web-like eye veins in each corner.

Not only that, but Vulcan was slightly drooling from his mouth like he was in a trance.

This scene was even stranger considering he is just over six years old and has already developed some muscle along his forearms, making him seem like a baby zombie.

...

Standing up completely, he examines his own body and notices something surrounding it. Of course, Vulcan can't properly think as much as he would usually be able to. Vulcan can't talk at all in this mode except for grunts and groans.

Although he calls it a berserk state, he barely has any emotion, except one of a vegetative patient from a hospital covered in a black aura. What most would not realize is that he can kill a grown human being in this state with one punch.

...

He can use about 40% of his brain to think when using Rusting Hysteria, and since he would need to wait a long time for his reserves to refill, he never practiced anywhere but inside his inner world; a place where Hatsu allowed him endless Spirit Energy...

Moving his hand to the floor, Vulcan picks up his Cursed Tool, 'Kitchen Knife'...

A lame name he made, but since that's what it was, why would he bother about names?

...

Holding the Cursed Tool, Vulcan transfers his dark Spirit Energy to the weapon, coating it just like Vulcan is coated.

Surrounding the tool is a black radiating light with lightning sparks...

Then...

Vulcan's blue eyes roll back into place and he drops the knife onto the floor again.

His surrounding aura goes from black, to blue/black, until it finally disappears completely.

Vulcan sits down, with the blank look on his face being replaced by a look of seriousness...

"I can keep in for 10 minutes, but if I try to transfer energy or gather energy for an attack, my technique falls apart to protect my own body from self-destructing. There is so much for me to improve on. This also proves that practicing in the real world brings more results than in my inner world, as I have to deal with drawbacks with each technique..."

Although Vulcan can enter his inner world, the Spirit Forge as he calls it, he does not face any backlashes or consequences from a technique.

For example, he can keep smashing sand with an endless supply of Spirit Energy as long as he can maintain Hatsu. The only problem is that the effects of endless Spirit Energy only occur in that world, and he won't be able to gauge his skill in the real world.

That is why he has been spending the last six days in this closed-off room to train his Spirit Forge techniques, instead of just Hatsurei-ho.

Tomorrow is a Friday, meaning that Vulcan would have to go to school again, which he liked since it wasn't hard, "If someone in their twenties can't solve basic subtraction, hahaha. Well, not that I can't, but it would look bad if I don't go tomorrow." Vulcan couldn't help but chuckle to himself.

Although he did hear what Iris said before using his technique, he was too busy to pay too much attention. He realized that she probably missed him since he was gone for a while...

...

After debating going out, he decided to wait for tomorrow since he would not get a chance to practice his techniques alone in the real world for a long time since the matron would be pissed at him.

After a nervous sweat, Vulcan said to himself, "Okay. I can infuse Spirit Energy into weapons, and turn myself into a weapon using Spirit Energy... What if I turned something that is not originally a weapon, into a Cursed Tool? Would it be destroyed, or would the material be improved upon? Well, well, well, it seems there is still so much to do."

He was convinced, "Plus my Spirit Energy is back to 15-20% already. I can still practice a little more before my limit is reached."

After a short pause to think, Vulcan looks down and sees his black shirt with a paw print. Similar to the one he wore many years ago, but the size is now much bigger and the color is black without any 'I Heart Animals' printed on it. This paw print was his favorite clothing design, so he kept it for a long time in most shirts he purchased

Opening his right hand, he exposes his palm, filled with calluses, burns marks, and small cut scars around his fingertips. Then that same, he puts that palm above his head, resting on his shirt.

"Time for Rei," Vulcan says while sitting down into his classic seiza position, it has become a habit at this point.

"First, enter a state of Hatsu while keeping myself aware of my surroundings..."

Slowing his breathing to the point where sleeps he is asleep while awake, Vulcan continues the next step.

The second thing he does is inject Spirit Energy into his fingertips, guiding it all around the shirt he was wearing. Since Vulcan was wearing the shirt, it was easier to guide the energy since he felt the definitions of the clothing.

After coating the shirt in his energy, he felt himself gain another layer of skin, but that feeling went away quickly. Instead, Vulcan felt like he was wearing nothing, completely naked.

"No way!" Looking down, he noticed to change to the shirt. Vulcan was still wearing it, but it became so unnoticeable that it felt like he was naked. After his small surprise, he continued the next step.

Closing his eyes, Vulcan imagined himself within the fabric, seeing the curse energy filling each crevice. Using the Spirit Forge technique to compound the atoms into chunks, then divide them again.

He repeats this quenching process a few times until they are adapted to Spirit Energy, gaining the properties of something more similar to silicon rather than polyester and wool.

Finally, Vulcan compresses the density without changing the form of matter, just like he does with a kitchen knife.

Feeling his reserves start to empty, Vulcan stops the output of Spirit Energy, causing him to awaken from the trance saying, "That was successful."
