Forever Your Boyfriend

**Credit to the real owner of the cover photo** Lee Nana finds herself caught up in the middle of a drama she knows nothing about, when she accepts the request of her best friend to stand in for her as an hired girlfriend. She meets and falls in love with Kim Tan who happens to be her boyfriend's best friend unknowing to her, and drama ensues as different love triangles are formed. Lee Nana comes to find out that she isn't really who she thinks she is, and everyone around her is keeping one secret or the other from her. She gets to understand how one decision can change a person's life as well as those around her for the better... Or maybe for worse. ******** Tan locked eyes with her over his wineglass, she was pretty as sin. He wanted her, he wanted to take her right there. He could barely remember the last time he felt this strongly about any woman. What surprised him most was the fact that he didn't just want her body, he wanted her heart too. Most of the women he knew were all golddiggers, and he could get any of them between his sheets for the right price, so why the hell was this one proving stubborn? She shifted her gaze from his, "The wine is nice," She said smiling nervously, wanting to say anything to break the silence. She may be naive but she knew desire when she saw it, and she could see it written all over his eyes. The thought of it made her heartbeat quicken. 'You have a boyfriend, what are you doing letting yourself get attracted to this guy?' she asked herself. He could tell she was nervous, it made him smile. It reassured him to know he still had that effect on females, especially this one that roused everything in him. He reached across the table and placed his hand over her hand making her jump. He chuckled, "Calm down girl, I don't bite. you just look so nervous, I wanted to calm you down." He said, laughter dancing in his eyes. "I'd appreciate it if you keep your hands to yourself. I don't appreciate being touched randomly like that," She said with a frown. "I'm sorry, I'll try to let you know before I touch you next time," he said with a smile, making her know he intended to touch her again. "We'll be attending the wedding tomorrow with you as my date. I hope you won't jump up everytime I touch you. that would raise suspicion don't you think?" He said with a wicked glint in his eyes "Isn't that what this whole week has been about? You have nothing to worry about, I'll do it right. But until then keep your hands to yourself." She said with a polite smile. We'll see about that. Tan thought. Plans

All three of them sat at the dining table for breakfast as the maid served them. The maid carefully laid down the trays containing the food.

Ji-Tae was fully dressed in a black suit, ready for work. Mi Cha was dressed in a colorful vintage gown, which was made sexy by the slim lines and dozens of buttons that ran from the bust to a short split above the hem. The dress was quick enough to be mistaken for a shirt.

Tan was dressed in his bathrobe, and he was still unsure about his plans for the day. All he wanted at the moment was to see Ji-Tae's girlfriend. He was willing to wait as long as it took.

"When next is your girlfriend coming over?" Tan asked Ji-Tae in an offhand manner.

"Which of them?" Ji-Tae asked with a crooked smile expecting both Mi Cha and Tan to laugh at his joke, but none of them did. They enjoyed watching him squirm for their laughter.

"The one you're getting married to, Min Jung," Tan said with a straight face. Ji-Tae was tempted to ask him why he was asking. From the look on his face, Ji-Tae could tell Tan wasn't pleased with him, so he decided to answer.

"She will be visiting my mother today, but I could invite her over later in the day or tomorrow if you want me to," He offered with a smile. He didn't like the idea that Tan was angry with him. Tan wasn't just his best friend, Tan was a brother, and it was thanks to Tan that his business was doing so well.

Tan considered the offer for a second. He didn't want Ji-tae to be around when he talked with her. "I would prefer you just send my number to her and ask her to call me," Tan said as he ate.

Ji-tae wondered what Tan wanted to discuss with Min-Jung. Why was everyone around him interested in Min-Jung? He would rather Tan stayed away from Min-jung. The only person he wanted Tan to like was Nana, not Min-Jung.

"Is there a problem? Did she do something wrong?" Ji-Tae asked Tan feigning a worried frown.

"What is wrong with getting to know my best friend's intended bride?" Tan asked cocking his brows.

Mi Cha ate with her ears wide open, and she didn't want to be in the middle of this exchange. She had questions she needed to ask Ji-Tae, but she couldn't do so in the presence of Tan. He had asked her to mind her business after all.

"What's your plan for today?" Tan suddenly asked Mi Cha.

"I thought you wouldn't ask," She said with a smile, "I'll make my first stop at JK modeling agency. I have to go through the terms of the contract today with my manager, and after that, I'll need you to accompany me to check out the remaining houses with Lee Nana," Mi Cha said, looking at Ji-Tae to see his reaction.

Ji-tae kept eating without raising his head. He was sure Tan would like Nana and would come back to plead with him to reconsider marrying her instead of Min-Jung. He smiled as he thought of it.

"Ok, just call me when you're ready to check the houses," Tan said, rising from the table.

"How about we hang out at our spot later in the evening? It's been a long time since we last did that," Ji-Tae said, looking at Tan. He knew he didn't have to tell Tan not to mention anything to Nana. Tan was his man and would never betray him.

"That's cool. You can meet me there when you close from work," Tan said without looking back.

Mi Cha turned to Ji-Tae when Tan disappeared .from view. "You are done with Lee Nana? But why? She is such a lovely person." Mi Cha whined.

"It is complicated, I wish I could explain it all to you, but you won't understand," Ji-Tae said apologetically. "You know you can't tell her anything, right?" He asked, just to be sure.

"Yea, I do. And even if I didn't, Tan already made it clear I wasn't to say jack," She said sadly.

Ji-Tae stood up, satisfied. His plan was still intact. He could only hope his mother acted fast and threatened Min-Jung out of his life.

**********

If there was one thing Jin-A had learned from her mother's wise ways, it was that drivers knew more about their bosses than anyone else. That was one reason she had always been careful around her driver.

But she could use that knowledge against Ji-tae; all she had to do was form an ally with his driver. She could offer him money, double his salary even, and in exchange, he would give her every information about his boss that she desired.

She wouldn't even have to pay anybody to follow him; who would fit that position better than his driver? All she wanted was sufficient information about him, his pregnant girlfriend, Tan, and the other twats.

Now all she needed to do was devise a means to get in close contact with Ji-Tae's driver. She needed to meet with him secretly without suspicion.

**********

Min-Jung stood in front of the full-length mirror at the boutique; she had gone mini-shopping for a suitable outfit to meet Ji-Tae's mother. Rich people were always conscious of what other people were wearing, and she didn't want to feel intimidated by the woman.

She knew Ji-Tae wasn't on excellent terms with his mother, even though she didn't know why. Maybe she could make his mother like her very well and accept her into the family.

She had told Ji-Tae's driver to pick her up from there.

Her phone beeped, and she tapped on the screen; it was a text from Ji-Tae. Her heart raced when she saw the message, it was Tan's number with an instruction to call him.

She thought she was done with him; What did he want to say to her again? Was he going to start blackmailing her or something?

She suddenly felt very nervous; either way, she would lose her friendship with Nana from the look of things. Maybe it would be best if she just hurried up everything. That way, she would at least be married to Ji-Tae before everything was exposed.

She swallowed nervously as she glanced at her screen. She had to talk to Nana soon... Nana would understand; she was very sure. For now, all she had to do was avoid Tan. She would avoid him until she spoke to Nana.
