Chapter 31: Apologizing Humbly

"Sister Xilin, someone is looking for you." The gallery assistant peeked her head into the warehouse from the hall, spotting Lin Xilin standing on a ladder, gripping a large box and pulling hard.

"Let me help you." She hurried forward.

"This is a bit heavy, move to the side, I don't want it to hit you." Lin Xilin hugged the box with both arms, cautiously turned around, and just as she planned to step down, her heel got caught on the beam of the ladder above her. She bent sideways to inspect it, and instantly lost her balance.

"Hiss..." The assistant quickly stepped forward but was a moment too late.

A pair of hands reached over her head, pulled the heavy box from Lin Xilin's arms, placed it on the ground beside them, and then turned to steady her.

Lin Xilin pulled her foot out of the shoe, looked up, and seeing it was Zhou Mingchen, she smiled.

"You came?"
