Chapter 56: Lord Lestrange, We Left It Back...

After reading the system task, Leo asked Kejoro to take her Snape back to Eileen, who was brewing the potion at the potion workshop deep inside the shop, in a calm tone.

He was now sure the men who seemed to be arriving and leaving empty-handed were after these potions and Eileen, who was responsible for brewing them.

And all of them were dark wizards.

chime~

With a chime, the door to the shop opened, but this time, the one entering was not the suspicious dark wizards from earlier. Instead, it was Bellatrix Black.

"____"

Seeing Bellatrix's arrival at this moment made Leo a little stunned.

"Ms. Black, welcome back. Are you looking for Eileen, or is there a problem with any of the products you mentioned?"

After a moment, Leo snapped out of it, composed himself, and moved towards her while inquiring about her revisit.

sigh~

With a defeated sigh, Bellatrix shook her head and moved in with a little annoyance visible on her face, as if thinking about something.

"No... no... the potions were top-notch... I'm here to free my mind. So, where is Sister Eileen?"

Hearing Leo's words, Bellatrix immediately shook her head and told him the reason behind her visit.

"Eileen is inside the potion workshop."

Nodding his head, Leo signaled towards the direction of the potion workshop where Eileen was present.

With a nod, Bellatrix bid farewell and walked deeper into the shop towards the direction of the potion workshop to meet her senior sister once again.

After sending Bellatrix to the potion workshop, Leo went back to the counter and calmly took his seat, waiting for the dark wizards to make their move.

So he could humble them with his fists.

After 10 minutes...

chime~

This time, a group of dark wizards who had previously visited several times entered the shop, but this time they chose to enter as a group.

After entering the shop, they all went to different sections and stood there, watching Leo, who was calmly sitting at the counter and reading the Daily Prophet newspaper.

There were a total of 15 dark wizards present inside the shop, all looking at Leo as if sizing him up.

Since the sky had turned dark with the arrival of night and the crowd inside the shop had finally depleted, an eerie silence filled the shop along with a tense atmosphere.

With a nod, they interacted with each other through eye signals and began picking up potions from the shelves, nearly emptying them.

While they were on a wild treasure hunt, Leo, without much reaction, calmly observed them, diverting his eyes from the newspaper with a slight tilt of his head.

"Hey, kid... where is the potion master?"

After collecting all the potions they could from the shop, one of the dark wizards, whose face was covered in tattoos, pointed his wand at Leo and asked.

"I'll give you guys a minute to put everything back that you took from the shelves and leave as if you were never here."

Now being questioned and having a wand pointed at him, Leo folded the newspaper he was reading, placed it on the counter, and warned the dark wizard.

His tone was cold, and his red eyes glimmered slightly.

Hearing Leo's tone, the dark wizard was stunned.

'Why is he warning me? Shouldn't I be the one giving the warnings?'

A little taken aback by Leo's response, the dark wizard was dumbfounded and couldn't believe his ears.

He didn't expect Leo to be this blunt and courageously speak to them in the face of a group of highly dangerous dark wizards.

Suddenly, every dark wizard present in the shop burst into loud laughter, a menacing grin plastered on their faces as they laughed mockingly.

"Kid, do you know who we are? Don't think the Aurors will save you. When we leave this shop, they won't be able to catch us. You don't even know how we look."

The man who stepped forward mocked Leo, misunderstanding his confidence as faith in the Aurors.

"I don't think I'd forget an ugly face like yours."

Leo replied coldly, glaring at the dark wizard who was showcasing all his dirty, yellowed teeth, which seemed not to have been cleaned for a decade.

When the man heard Leo's words, he froze for a second. The smile on his face disappeared as his hand slowly touched his face, and his eyes widened in realization.

"Merlin's pants! Where's my new mask?"

Realizing that he wasn't wearing the new mask given to him after joining the Death Eaters as part of their recent recruits, panic struck him.

"Lord Lestrange, we left it back at our hideout."

Hearing the tattooed man's exclamation, one of his lackeys—who had entered the shop with an awkward struggle—answered the leader's question.

The leader seemed to be the current lord of the Lestrange family, Gay Lestrange.

sneer~

Immediately, Gay Lestrange turned and started scolding his subordinates for their lack of awareness in not reminding him to wear the mask, which had been provided to conceal their identities.

"____"

Meanwhile, Leo calmly listened to the conversation, watching the group of clowns performing before his eyes.

sigh~

'Are they really supposed to be the future Death Eaters who terrorized all of wizarding Britain???'

This was the only thought in his mind as Leo silently wondered how their brains worked.

"I knew it. You Lestrange family are nothing but leeches who always try their best to leech off my family. But I never expected you to stoop so low as to become smugglers."

The dark wizards, who had been quarreling amongst themselves, were interrupted by a loud, angry female voice.

grit~

"Who dares insult my Lestrange family? I'll make—"

Gay Lestrange, upon hearing someone insult his family, gritted his teeth and turned in fury, ready to berate the peasant who dared to scorn his noble lineage.

But he stopped mid-sentence when he saw who it was.

'Damn… What is this girl from the Black family doing in this obscure store?'

His anger momentarily dissipated as his eyes landed on the figure of Bellatrix, who appeared to be fuming as she glared at them.

"Bellatrix???"

One of the dark wizards, recognizing her, called out in shock.

"Rodolphus Lestrange… Don't address me by my first name. We are not that close, heir Lestrange."

Even though the person who called her had his head partially covered, Bellatrix easily identified him by his voice.

She confirmed her assumption when she noticed that the one leading this group of dark wizards was indeed Lord Lestrange.

So, with a sneer, Bellatrix clearly drew a line between them with her response.

"Why can't I call you Bella? Since you're soon going to be my fiancée."

grin~

Hearing Bellatrix's refusal to let him address her by her first name, Rodolphus revealed his face with a confident grin and spoke assuredly.

"____"

When Bellatrix heard Rodolphus's confident answer, she fell silent, her expression unreadable.

hahaha~

"That's my boy... If we eliminate him, there will be no problem. As for Bellatrix, don't worry. I'll have a good chat with Lord Black."

When Gay heard his son's confident words, a loud laugh erupted from him.

A proud smile crept onto his face as he spoke with a menacing look, his gaze shifting toward Leo.

"I don't think so..."

Bellatrix's face darkened as she pointed her wand at the group, issuing a clear warning.

With a sneer, the group of 15 dark wizards raised their wands, ready to torture and slaughter what they assumed was a harmless sheep before them.

"Cruc..."

Just as Gay was about to perform the Cruciatus Curse—a dark and unforgivable spell used to inflict immense pain on its target—the curse was interrupted midway.

Gay suddenly stopped, retracting his wand slightly, and appeared to be in a daze.

Seeing their Lord Lestrange frozen mid-spell and standing still, as though in a trance, confusion spread among the group.

"Father, why did you stop? Kill him..."

With a bewildered expression, Rodolphus shook Gay, attempting to rouse him from his daze by shaking him violently.

But all Rodolphus received was no reaction, only a blank and lifeless look from his father.

grin~

"Your son is right, Gay... He really wants to experience Crucio very much. Why don't you let him experience it several times—until I say stop? It'll be a valuable lesson from his loving father."

Leo's tone was calm as he grinned at Rodolphus, who looked at him in confusion.

Meanwhile, Leo's red eyes gleamed brighter, the two tomoe within spinning rapidly.

Gay Lestrange, who had been unresponsive all this time, suddenly moved.

With a cold expression, he turned toward his son, ignoring the frantic calls of "Father!" from Rodolphus.

"____"

"Father?... Fat—"

Before Rodolphus could fully grasp what was happening, his father pointed his wand directly at him. The wand's tip began to emit an ominous red glow.

"Wai—"

"Crucio."

Rodolphus's eyes widened in horror, but before he could react, Gay had already cast the Cruciatus Curse.

ahhhh~

A ball of red light shot from Gay's wand, striking Rodolphus, who had been caught completely off guard. He fell to the ground, writhing and screaming in unbearable pain.
