Cora and Jared spent the rest of the day alternating between sunning themselves and swimming in the pool. They only came in begrudgingly when it was time to feed. When the sun went down the pair finally came in for the night.
Cora gave Margo a sweet kiss before heading upstairs and hopping in the shower. She had somewhere she was supposed to be. She knew that everyone in the house was going to throw a fit, but she still had to try.
After her shower, Cora threw on a pair of leggings and a shirt dress that she put a wide stretchy belt over before grabbing her purse. She finished the outfit with a pair of white canvas sneakers and ran a brush though her hair that was nearly dry. She was ready for the war.
