Chapter 46

"Hunter Athena?"

'Shit! His girlfriend just saw us kissing! She caught Ethan… and me! Damn! How would I explain this? Is this the end of my journey here as student hunter?'

Titania felt like she was doomed and her student hunter's life would be ending tonight because of this incident. She should have stopped Ethan but in the end, she even returned his kisses. She was hypnotized by him.

The worse case was that his rumored girlfriend who would also become a trainer of student hunters caught them in the act. She was consumed by guilt right now. She didn't know how to face Hunter Athena.

Reflexively, Titania went to Ethan's back to hide. 'What if she will slap on the face? I don't have the right to retaliate. I am the one at fault here. I kissed her boyfriend. Damn you Ethan Spark for creating this trouble!'

"Oh, It's you, Athena." Ethan simply mumbled to acknowledge Athena's presence.

Titania's eyes widened when she heard Ethan. She couldn't believe it. Ethan was acting as if nothing happened. It seemed like he didn't care about getting caught by his girlfriend while kissing another woman.

"Seriously, Ethan? Are you that shameless and thick-skinned? You were just caught cheating by your girlfriend. Why are you so calm?" Titania scolded Ethan in a low voice.

Ethan just rolled his eyes. 'This girl… what makes her believe that Athena and I are couples. Did she just assume it because of the rumors she heard from others?'

Athena's expression darkened because of Ethan's carefree and nonchalant behavior. Nothing changed, Ethan was still the same Ethan she knew: the arrogant guy who didn't give a damn about her and her feelings.

"What are you two doing? Did you forget about the Academy's rule number 5? Teacher-Student Relationship Is Strictly Prohibited!" Athena emphasized the Academy's rule to Titania and Ethan. She was looking daggers at them.

Titania was still confused. She didn't know why Athena emphasized the Academy's rule instead of confronting Ethan about this boyfriend-kissing-another-girl issue.

'Wait… are the two of them not in a relationship? Oh. M.G!' Titania covered her mouth at that realization. She was shocked about this. It only meant that she misjudged Ethan.

She wanted to hide right now because of embarrassment. She even ranted out at him about having a girlfriend. Aside from that, she sounded like a jealous woman a while ago. She didn't understand what's happening to her, why she reacted like that after knowing that Ethann had a girlfriend.

Titania was still figuring out herself when she heard Ethan's loud chuckle. His laughter provoked Athena more. Her face was as dark as the bottom of a pot now.

"Why are you laughing? Do you think this is funny?" Athena asked Ethan with her annoyed tone.

"Oh, Esteemed Hunter Athena, you missed three points here.. So allow me to explain this to you to enlighten your mind."

Titania just remained silent. She chewed on her lower lip. She could feel that Ethan was not fond of Hunter Athena from the way he spoke to her.

"First Point. Did you forget that I am Ethan Spark? They called me the Rule Breaker for nothing. I tend to broke some rules, so even the Academy's rules are no exceptions."

Titania felt like vomiting blood because of Ethan's shamelessness and stubbornness. Yes, she remembered. Ethan was the Rule Breaker.

Meanwhile, the frown on Athena's forehead deepened upon hearing that. Her patience was wearing thin! Ethan was intentionally pissing her off. He just ignored her ugly expression and just continued speaking. Ethan was always like this, being indifferent to women. Maybe Titania was the only exception.

"Second Point. I'm not a teacher here. I'm just here because of the punishment given to me by the president of the Hunters Association. I am staying here temporarily."

Titania couldn't believe that Ethan could reason out like this. Sometimes, his logical thinking was way above her. She didn't even think about that.

'Hmm, now I'm curious about the third point,' Titania thought to herself.

"Third Point." Ethan paused for a moment. Before Titania knew what happened, Ethan's arm was already hooked around her waist, pulling her closer to him.

"She's already my girlfriend before she entered this academy. That's the reason I recruited her to be my apprentice." Ethan said with a cheeky smile on his face.

Then he turned to Titania and added, "Am I right, Love?"

Titania: "..."

'Love your ass!!! When did I become your girlfriend? Ethan Spark! How can you make up some lies like that! Even involving me with your lies without my permission!'

Titania was shocked beyond belief. Ethan's shamelessness escalated to the highest level. But she couldn't afford to reveal Ethan's lie in front of Athena. 

What if Athena would report them to the higher-ups? If that happened then it would be the end of her student hunter career. They might expel her from this school because of that. 

Titania didn't want that to happen. She still had a goal to accomplish here. She needed to become a full-fledged hunter and gain power. 

She had to do that to influence the higher-ups of the Hunters Association. She needed to push the peace treaty between humans and werewolves.

For the sake of her goal, Titania played along with Ethan. "Yes, Love." After saying that she felt like the blood rushed to her cheeks, making her blush.

'Shit! I'm out of my mind. I just called Ethan Spark 'Love'. 

Ethan grinned widely because of her response. He didn't expect that Titania would obediently play along with him, making Athena believe that the two of them were in a romantic relationship eve before Titania entered the academy.

'Good girl, Kitten!' Ethan thought to himself as he caressed Titania's reddened cheek.

The Ethan averted his gaze back to Athena. "Hunter Athena, I will not stop you if you want to report the scene you had witnessed here."

'No! No! No! You should stop her! Or else it will be the end of me!' Titania lamented to herself inwardly. Titania felt like crying. She wanted to beat this guy for putting her in this difficult situation.

"The three points I said to you will also be my justification once the higher-ups will summon us both. I just want to tell you that I am not afraid and I don't care. All I care about is my girlfriend right here."

"We decided to hide our relationship with others because my girlfriend wants us to be private. So go on, tell them if you want others to know about my relationship with her. This will do me a favor. I will be proud to let the world knows that I have a wonderful girlfriend like her."

'Damn! Ethan Spark is not just a Rule Breaker. He is also a good liar and a sweet-talker!' Titania was amazed by Ethan's performance.

Athena had no word to refute that. There's no way she would tell others about this. She would become a laughing stock. She was the rumored girlfriend of Ethan. She was enjoying those rumors.

But if others would learn that Ethan had a different girlfriend then that would be a great slap on her face. Ethan chose a mere student hunter, instead of her who was one of the best hunters in the Hunters Association. 

Her pride couldn't take that. So she decided to keep her mouth shut about the scene she had witnessed there. Unknown to Athena, that's what Ethan waned her to do. He didn't want Titania to be in trouble because of that kiss they shared.
