Chapter 43

"Father, I'm sorry, I was not able to talk to her. But Dylan saved her. I think they are together by now."

Alpha Tristan was dumbfounded once again after hearing that.

"My daughter, Titania… she's with Dylan right now. Then … she's in the Blood Moon Pack Territory, isn't she?" Alpha Tristan couldn't help but worry about Titania.

"What if Alpha Jason and Dylan will convince her to join their pack? Why you didn't bring her with you, Travis? Are you not worried about your little sister?" Alpha Tristan felt like scolding Travis as of this moment.

"Father, calm down. Nothing bad will happen to her. I know and I believe that Dylan will not let anything bad happen to her. He will keep her safe so I don't think Dylan will bring her to Blood Moon Pack Territory. Aside from us, Dylan was the one who always thinks first of Titania's well-being."

Alpha Tristan had no choice but to believe that. He put his trust in Dylan.

"But I am wondering why Titania went to Riverdale forest." He blurted out in confusion.

"I don't have any idea too, father," Travis responded.

Soon the two of them continued walking while talking about Titania.

"You already saw her. You should have talked to her at that time. Why you didn't grab that opportunity?" He exclaimed exasperatedly. He still couldn't believe Travis's action, leaving his sister alone in that forest without even talking to her.

"Don't worry too much, Father. Besides, Titania already told us that she needed time. She's not yet ready to go back to our village. Let her be so that she could experience the outside world, the world beyond this mountain and forest." Travis shared his opinion with his father.

"Alright, I understand. But next time you saw her please tell her to visit us even once in a while or send us a message to let us know that she was just alright and doing fine." Alpha Tristan really doted so much on Titania.

"Okay Father, I will do that the next time I see her," Travis said, reassuring his father.

"Good. By the way, don't mention this with your mother. She will feel sad again if you will bring up Titania in front of her." Alpha Tristan warned his son.

"Got it, Father. I will say nothing to Mother."

"Oh, are you not going to check what is happening right now in Diego's place? Go… Help them persuade that Nikolai to join our pack and forget about the violence and revenge of the Blood Moon Pack," he suggested to his son.

"Since you mention that, then I should go now and check on them. I will see you later, Father." Travis bade his father goodbye immediately before going to Diego's house.

Meanwhile, at Diego's place, Nikolai was already conscious. He had just awakened when Alexa and Diego arrived at the house. He slept for too long because Alexa injected him with another dose of tranquilizer.

The moment he opened his eyes, three familiar faces greeted his sight. Those people were Rolly, Ashton, and Kevin whom he entertained as visitors of Blood Moon Pack just a few days ago. At first, he was confused but later on, he was able to grasp the situation. 

"You were the people responsible for sabotaging our plan last night at Riverdale forest, weren't you?" Nikolai asked the three men with disbelief.

"Sorry Nikolai." Ashton apologized to him immediately.

"Yeah, we are sorry for dragging you here with us. You were not supposed to be here but we had no choice. You saw what you were not supposed to see." Rolly explained to him. 

"If we let you go then you might reveal to your Alpha that a werewolf protected those hunters. White Claw Pack might be implicated. Judging by the behavior of your Alpha, we are aware that he will not let this slide. He won't hesitate to attack his fellow werewolves." Kevin also added, elaborating on the reason why he was here at their territory and why they were apologizing to him.

Nikolai agreed with their statement. He knew that Alpha Jason would not be forgiving. He hated betrayal most so he would not hesitate to attack even the entire White Claw Pack because of what happened in the forest.

With a frown on his face, he asked them. "Where am I?" Nikolai already sat up on the bed and leaned back to the wall beside his bed.

"You are currently in our Pack Village. Welcome to the white Claw Pack Village, Buddy." Ashton answered him. patting his shoulder while welcoming him with so much enthusiasm.

In fact, they liked Nikolai. He was friendly and very approachable to them when they were still in the Blood Moon Pack Mansion. So they would be more than happy once Nikolai would agree to become a member of the White Claw Pack.

"Wait, so does it mean that Alexa was the werewolf I was fighting last night? The one who told me that she had a hunter mate, is she that werewolf?"

"Yes, that's right. It was me." A female voice was heard. Alexa came inside the room together with Diego.

"Wow, you are strong," Nikolai mumbled in amazement.

Alexa just giggled after receiving that praise coming from Nikolai.

"Nikolai, hello, Buddy!" Diego greeted him while waving his hand.

"Hello…" Nikolai greeted him back with an awkward smile. He didn't know what to feel right now. When he was with them he felt comfortable and he didn't feel threatened at all. But he was still wondering what they were planning to do with him.

"So, what is your plan against me? Am I currently your hostage and a prisoner here?" Nikolai couldn't help but raise that question to them.

"You are not a prisoner nor a hostage. We are planning to recruit you as part of our team, as a member of our pack."

Everyone averted their gaze to the direction of that voice. Then they saw Travis standing by the door, wearing a gentle smile on his handsome face.

"Travis…" Nikolai was at a loss for words after hearing that.

There was a moment of silence. They were waiting for Nikolai to speak up. They couldn't blame him if he was currently shocked. Travis directly told him that without beating around the bush. It was natural for Nikolai to be dumbfounded.

Travis walked over. He stopped beside Diego, still looking and waiting for Nikolai's answer.

"Are you just inviting me because you are afraid I'm gonna tell Alpha Jason of what you did last night?" Nikolai smiled bitterly when he said those words.

Travis shook his head and respond promptly. "No, that's not the only reason. I am asking you this because I like you as a friend. I want you to become part of our family."

"Yeah, that's true. Travis was right. We like you for real." Diego supported Travis's statement.

Rolly Ashton, Kevin, and Alexa nodded at Nikolai while giving him a genuine smile. Nikolai could see the sincerity by just looking at their expressions. They were not lying. And for the first time in his life, he felt blissful. It seemed that he found the family he had longed for all these years.

"Don't worry, we will give you time to think it over, Just stay with us for a while. You should see and observe our way of life here then you can decide if you want to join our family or not." Travis said, not pressuring Nikolai.

"Okay. I will do that." Nikolai just simply stated.

"By the way, we received another mission from Alpha, my father. We will go to Silver Bow Pack Territory two weeks from now. We will try to make an alliance with them." Travis informed the team.

Ashton: "Wow, new mission! That's great."

Rolly: "Nice… I am excited to do this!"

Kevin: "Me Too. I wanna visit Silver Bow Pack. We never know I could meet my mate there."

Diego: "This will be another great adventure for us to gain more experience."

Nikolai: "Can I join you with this mission too?"

Alexa: "Yes, of course, you should be my replacement because I won't be able to join you in this mission."

Ashton, Rolly, and Kevin gave him a questioning look. They had no idea yet about Alexa's decision of finding and meeting her mate in the city.

"Why?" The three men asked her in unison.

"I'm gonna go get my mate first and mark him!" Alexa said before letting out a soft giggle.
