She's Back

After convincing Selene, Eros gave her instruction to follow the light and it would lead her back to her world.

He needed to talk with Azrael first and informed him about this. When Selene left, Azrael appeared in front of Eros.

"Good job, Eros. I thought I would need to scare her and threaten her in order to agree with you," Azrael said with a sour expression on his face.

A husky laugh escaped from Eros's mouth. He was now in his true form. Since Selene was gone, he didn't need to pretend to be a winged-man who looked like a child anymore.

"I told you. I would help you solve your problem. Zaki won't punish you in the Netherworld after this," Eros said while tapping Azrael's shoulder.

Azrael cringed at the mention of that name. Zaki was the head of the angels of death also known as grim reapers.

"I won't be returning to the Netherworld for now. I have to go back as well in the human world to collect souls and guide them to the Netherworld," Azrael heaved a deep sigh after hearing that.

"Traveling back and forth is too tiring. I like your job. You have to stay in the human world for months before going back. Can we just switch jobs?" Azrael said, venting out his frustration.

Unlike grim reapers, cupids could interact and blend well with humans. They could understand human behavior more since in every mission cupids got to live with the humans for months.

On the other hand, Grim reapers were just lurking in shadows, watching and waiting for someone to die before they could appear in front of them.

If cupids looked very cute and adorable in front of the human soul, grim reapers appeared to be scary. They were usually a skeletal figure, shrouded in a dark, hooded robe and carrying a scythe.

"Azrael, my friend, I am sorry to say this… but… cupid's task is not suitable for you. Instead of making the human fall in love, I am afraid you will just teach the contractee to scare and threaten someone using different ways to die in order for them to gain love." Eros said, teasing Azrael.

"If that happens then genuine and true love will never prevail. So forget it, my friend… just stick with your role. Hahaha."

Azrael: "..."

He had the urge to hook Eros's neck using his scythe.

"You know what, Eros... aside from giving love advice, you have another skill."

Eros looked at him expectantly. "Really? What is it?"

"You are good at provoking and insulting someone!"

Upon saying that, Azrael raised his scythe to attack Eros. But Eros was able to dodge quickly. He maintained a distance from Azrael as he laughed at him.

"Hahaha, calm down, Dude?!! Don't get mad. I'm just telling the truth!"

Azrael shot Eros a cold sharp glare. "Don't 'Dude' me, you fool. How dare you call a heavenly being with this kind of name? Is this what you learn from interacting with humans?! Come here! Don't run away! Fight me!"

"Haha! Says someone who just called another heavenly being 'fool'. Forget about it. I won't fight you. See the difference... Cupid spreads love, not war!"

"I gotta go! See you later on Earth, my friend. I still have to check and make sure that Selene is able to come back, safe and sound!"

"Eros! Don't forget the warning I told you before!" Azrael shouted, reminding him. Eros just waved his hand as he flew away from Azrael.

Azrael just watched Eros's figure until he vanished from his sight. Then a playful smile appeared on his face.

In one of the dormitory rooms, there was a girl lying on her bed. She was sound asleep. It looked like she was having a good dream as a curve of her lips was visible on her sleeping face

But her sweet dream was interrupted as soon as the loud ringing sound of an alarm clock reverberated inside her room.

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

Like always, she lazily stretched out her hand towards the bedside table where the alarm clock was being placed, trying to search for the snooze button to stop it from further making loud beeping sounds.

She slammed the snooze button and the absolute silence returned once again in her room. After five minutes, she forced herself to get off the bed even though she was still in her sleepy state.

She couldn't explain why but she felt tired and drained although she had just woken up. She yawned and rubbed her eyes, turning to the alarm clock. She saw the bright red numbers on the digital alarm clock which read 6:05 AM.

Then she stood up and dragged herself to the bathroom. She opened the bathroom door and walked in.

She paused for a moment, glancing at her reflection in the big wide mirror.

"Strange… I just had a very weird dream," Selene mumbled to herself. She sighed deeply before shaking her head.

She slowly removed her clothes one after another as she stepped into the shower. She turned the dial on full blast and warm water streamed down from the shower. She reached for the soap and rubbed her bare skin.

She closed her eyes, savoring her warm bath. Her naked body was now covered by bubbles and soap.

Memories kept flashing in her mind through a flashback. It did not take long when she came to a realization.

"Wait… those memories. It's not a dream! I got shot and died then I saw a cute and adorable angel! Am I really back? Did I come back alive?!" Selene mumbled to herself.

She flung her eyes open only to be surprised by the sight in front of her.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

In the next second, her loud scream was heard, reverberating inside the bathroom.

"Pervert!!!" Selene yelled at the strange good-looking silver-gray haired man inside her bathroom.

"Aww!" the man who was in his deep stupor moments ago grunted as something hard hit his head. Selene threw him using the soap in her hand.

She immediately covered the sensitive parts of her body including her beautiful twin peaks and her precious pearl.

She continued screaming in horror, "Help! Help! There's a pervert inside my bathroom!"

The handsome silver-gray-haired man finally realized that he was not supposed to stay there. He quickly moved his feet and rushed out of the bathroom.

*Bam!*

He closed the door while Selene locked the door from the inside.

*Click*

The silver-gray-haired man who was still utterly astounded by what had just happened leaned his back on the closed door with his heart pounding crazily inside his chest.

It did not take long when his stunned expression was replaced by his dark angry expression.

"Urgh! AZRAEL, you Moron! Did he intentionally change the location of my portal going back to the human world?!" he uttered through his gritted teeth.

He had the urge to beat a playful grim reaper right now and tear him into tiny pieces.
