You're a witch

I could feel all eyes on me as I walked into the class. I kept my eyes down at my shoes as I meekly followed the teacher to stand Infront of the class.

The only person I knew in the school right was the teacher. My biology teacher, Miss Terra.

Well....today was my first day so she was kind of the only person my mother introduced me to before leaving. The principal was absent so Miss Terra, my biology teacher and the Vice principal was happy to fill me in on the school's schedule and organized rules and regulations which was strictly abided by the students.

My first class happened to be biology class.... so here I am ...beside Miss Terra, under the curious gaze of over 20 pairs of eyes.

"Good morning class. We have a new student in our midst today. I would like you all to be nice to her please" Miss Terra said and gave me room to introduce myself.

My cheeks heated up as I stood before them. I forced myself to look up.

Different colors of eyes..., red, green, brown, black...yellow...pink all looked at me. Some with curiousity, boredom, some didn't even look at me and were busy doing something else.

Yeah....a typical new student in class.

What was exciting about that????

"Um ..hi. My name is Eva Harris. I..I'm new here and I hope we can all be friends".

I stammered and lowered my head again.

Harris??

Everyone looked at me with renewed interest.

Who didn't know the Harris's family lineage?

A girl with blonde hair and blue eyes raised her hand.

"What is it Emily" Miss Terra asked calmly.

The girl stood up and looked at me.

She had fierce looking eyes but she looked at me in awe before saying.

"Are you really Mrs. Harris daughter? Does that mean you're a witch too..."

The class explodes in a rumble of whispers and murmurs as they all looked at me, waiting for an answer.

I looked around the class... The blonde girl still staring at me as if waiting for me to answer the question immediately. The rest of the class stared at me too.

I looked at Miss Terra as if to tell her to help me out. But she was also giving me a curious glance.

'Really Miss Terra??!!' I almost groaned out.

"Yeah so?" I casually answered the blonde girl and could see how people started giving me different looks. Look of disgust and anger and surprise.

I arched an eyebrow.

"Wait..... I'm not the only witch here, right?"

Once I asked that question, almost everyone in the class starts laughing like maniacs!!!

I almost fell back in fear.

Was it me or did most of the students have fangs!!!?

I could see them ...popping down their lower lips as they threw back their heads laughing at me, their lips red like cherry, their skin pale white.

Vampires???

Some didn't have ears by the side of their heads but they were poking from the top of their heads and they had colorful eyes and long hair.. especially the males.

Fairies???

Some had normal ears but the tip of their ears were much longer than normal ones and they had blueish skin.

Elves???

How could I have missed this.

I looked at Miss Terra and she smiled at me politely as if to expose herself as well.

I could see her fangs??

She was a vampire???

Didn't mum know about this or did she enroll me here to punish me for getting expelled from three different witch schools in less than three months???

Because this wasn't funny!!

This was like walking into a war zone..

A battle ground...a death circle

These three species were powerful nemesis/enemies of witches and it looked like I was the only witch... correction...the only foolish witch who was here.....

Suddenly they all stop laughing and look at me.

I unconsciously stepped back.

I'm dead

"Are you lost or something" A girl sitting at the back said. She was very beautiful. Her hair was midnight black and her eyes were bloody red. She had a mocking smile on her lips.

I could see her fangs well.

I gulped

"N..no. This must be a mistake or something" I say and look at Miss Terra.

She cleared her throat and came forward as if shielding me from the ugly looks I was receiving.

"She's not lost Fiona. You all should please be nice to her. And yes...she's going to be the only witch attending our school. Her people are not aware that she's here so can you please not make a big deal out of this"

"Look at that" Said a boy who was sprawled lazily on his chair. His eyes were gleaming a fantastic pink color. His hair was green like the grass and it was long, waist length. He was very handsome.

Infact, it looked like there was a silent competition of who was created more perfectly in the class. Every one was just so beautiful and handsome, Miss Terra was no exception.

"A witch's schooling here and she expects us not to make a big deal out of it" He finishes his sentence and glared at Eva who looked down. "I guess it's not a big deal if she decides to start killing everyone of us right here right now"

More murmurs in the class ...and Eva wished the ground could swallow her up.

She was feeling so angry, embarrassed and ashamed....

And scared...

"Miss Terra" Said the blonde girl again standing up without permission this time.

Eva could identify her clearly now.

She was a fairy. Just like the boy that had spoken earlier.

"This has to be a mistake" She stuttered. "Does Shirmona know she's here"

At the mention of that name, everyone shuddered.

Even Eva herself shuddered despite the fact that Shirmona was her own grandmother, Queen of witches.

Sometimes, Eva wished she rather become a normal witch civilian that have any relation to someone so evil as Shirmona.
